The world of drag racing is known for its high-octane excitement and unpredictable outcomes. Last week, we witnessed some of the most thrilling races of the season, with cars reaching speeds of over 200 miles per hour. One such event was the Six Summer drag racing competition, where drivers pushed their vehicles to the limit in a quest for victory.

The Action on Track

As the green flag waved, the engines roared to life, and the pack of cars surged forward in a blur of color and noise. The first car off the line was Sam's Camaro, which shot out to an early lead. However, as he approached the finish line, disaster struck - his engine blew, sending him into a spin and leaving him stranded on the side of the track. "Dang what it run 49 with a six Jes Christ I know 49 the six you I pedal it," Sam lamented, shaking his head in dismay.

Meanwhile, Rowdy radio was calling out the top times - 1024 was the number that mattered most to our competitors. The Malibu driver had taken an early lead, but as he approached the finish line, he was suddenly brought back down to earth by a burst of flames from his engine. "Oh no way oh my God that is not what I wanted we got fire underneath we're going to spray there's some right there," the announcer exclaimed.

The Competition Heats Up

As the pack of cars continued to battle it out on the track, tensions began to rise. The Mustang driver was running strongly in second place, but he needed a low 70 to beat his opponent's lead. "We need an 82 to stay in first regular Mar like this is a upale Edition," Rowdy radio warned.

In the end, it came down to a photo finish between the Mustang and the Malibu driver. The Mustang driver took the win with a time of 240s, with the Malibu driver coming in second. But just as it seemed like the competition was over, one last car emerged from the pack - the sn95 Camaro driver. Taking home first place in his very own class, he pulled off an impressive victory lap.

A Week to Remember

Six Summer drag racing competition will be remembered for its unpredictable twists and turns. From engine blowouts to photo finishes, this event had it all. As we head into the next week of action, one thing is certain - these drivers are going to come out swinging in 2024.

The Cars

As we took a closer look at our competitors' vehicles, it was clear that each car was uniquely suited to its owner's driving style. the gray Cobra 879 we be them making lots of passes today to get things together for a solid stick ship pass maybe it'll be one and done who knows but let's see what what they're up here in the Mustang I had no idea you guys took the lead that is crazy after all that work this week it's unbelievable it's got feel great we went 856 I didn't know there was a five in this thing I'm like holy moly holy cow and we're at 850 cage just like everybody else so pushing it as close as we can if I click a 56 I think we're done I think it's over y cool yeah good luck thank you very much stick shift class getting really spicy this busang has had the heads off uh rebuilding everything several times this week and only basically a tenth separating first second third he's currently in first place right now number one overall in stick shift coming up right now by 200s of a second he wants an 850 to be really comfortable in the lead here in this class but a few other cars in this class can run an 850 as well so hopefully they start off strong and they can sit back and watch everyone else for a little bit coming around again ah issues getting into second or third there right shut off down 14 28 97 I was just told that tomorrow is Sam 79th birthday he's coming up here for his first pass we sing him happy birthday now we get to see him make his first pass on the last day of sick summer hey backed out one was hanging on dear life and we hurt my transmission's pumped pretty bad so it's not going to be a good pass but at least we'll finish yeah are having problems atast made oh man we made been running it on motor so far but we're going to turn on the nitrous later the the motion Works truck we nice how much are you going to spray on it probably a 400 shot holy crap 400 shot when is that going to get activated uh after our first pass today but like how far down the track probably instantly instantly okay sweet if it'll hook what's been you guys' best pass uh so far it was a 8 or that's what you got to do to get 206 time slip he's the only car in the unlimited class so he did win the class there the crazy thing about this car is he started with this when we first saw him as an 11c car and he's been somewhere in the sevens now going to be fun to watch you and Alex huh watch you and Alex battle it out second place pretty close but I don't know how 10,000 gas a second this you think you got another six in it I think so we put a little more in it we'll see what happens as long as the track will take it today so yeah and then if that works out that'll be four sixes in a row if you hit it yeah I'll go cool it down and we'll put some more in it so love it love it good luck all right thanks Michael manuel leading in the modified class with at 2 10,000 slower than Alex right oh so close to that six are you kidding me 708 that could lock him in for second place overall cuz Alex Taylor's having some issues but I know we'll be seeing him back again to run that 787 style points for the Camaro but that will cost I guess he uh lost something there but looked really freaking cool the whole time until he came down going to happen 87 for now right well there's the top to's water box for Thea a few years ago there was this thing called index racing that started on Dragon drives and there's a class at most of these Dragon drives where you have to get as close to an 850 as you can without going quicker than that and this is probably going to be the craziest class to watch today because of how these cars are stacked right now the blue Mustang behind me 854 175 is how quick he's averaged for 4 days the 240 the purple 240 854 350 and then the 79 gray Malibu is a 854 550 and then the 73 Camaro the beautiful red and silver Camaro 854 575 they're all 854 is with a 175 350 550 575 so literally 4 th000 of a second separating the four of them right now from first second third fourth it's going to be very interesting to see see how these guys do today they're all going to be getting for that 850 before they are done running today holy crap what this class is insane right now insane tight have you looked at the standings I'm sure you have I'm sure you have oh yeah I've been looking at all night okay 854 for everybody all four of you you have a 175 after the 854 then a 350 550 and 575 that's 4 10 4 th000 of a second separating all four of you R in this much more in St exactly holy crap how many times do you think we're going to see you guys run today as many as it takes yeah yeah that's I mean hopefully we just go out here and go 50 something and lock it up close that sucks yes by the way he says that he works for extra money because number three right now by 9 hunds of a second in the Cobra this could be anybody's game today because these track conditions are going to get worse and worse throughout the day as it gets warmer for six shift racing be very tricky for these guys to run good 8sec P he does it right here he going to make everyone else work really hard for it the 871 163 is that the first 8C stick ship pass today yeah first 8 second stick Shi pass of the day for the glass now we got to see everyone else do it I don't know if I've had a chance to check this thing out yet but I'm definitely going to be watching you guys' class today with how crazy it is yeah it's crazy to insane you're in third place right now four it was like four or 5,000 upar to you guys yeah I was in first as yesterday but I had to turn in an 859 I smoked low gear band oh that's painful yeah so we pulled out last night and fixed it and should passes in Iowa we actually ran the same exact time one did you so what's the how do you make this thing so fast this has to be heavy as hell 3708 with me in it and 5 gallons of fuel That's Heavy it's a 557 pump gas motor built by Scott Chamis CNM engineering made 93 horsepower 6700 RPM really that's horsepower horsepower na yes can I see it look at the paint too this is this is beautiful you made this look really clean r35s on it but yet just simple and basic one last question where's the color come from it's an early 90s GM color it's called metallic turquoise like on the Cavaliers the GE oh style from back in the 50s and 60s just Frozen in Time with these cars come out to these Dragon drives 951 that 951 from Wayne Baker right there may have just locked him in for the gas verse hot rod class he was in the lead for first place against Red White and Blue by 1,500 so I don't know we'll see the gas are field pretty close right now Wayne Baker who just ran before the Old Glory red and white and blue gaser leading with a 925 to his 939 the Old Glory Gasser running slower than him right now they're still ways in first with the rusty Nova and old glories in second place what's up Mr pulled the whole thing AP got it together in 3 hours made a pass got on the road about 10 miles down the road this back exhaust push rod had burned itself up so we pulled the two cylinders drove it on six and then we're setting it back up for eight today and we think we got about one pass in it but since it's not oiling for some reason we're just gonna make it's not oiling that's the whole issue we fought oil pressure issues all week so that the that's the last place to get oil back there number eight gotcha so it's the oil is getting everywhere else enough to make it survive except the so you're oiling it ahead of the past basically like if we just cram as much in there as we can that's the goal wow you know that thing everybody uses just send it yeah well if you look in Websters and one or two of the cylinders there they got them lubed up enough to run a 71 that last B and she's probably going to call it power to it now 846 at 60 elaba right behind me here is electric powered and he has just kind of been taking it easy all week until now this is going to be his hero pass she just got of nose Di there5 757 757 is the best pass of the week for that Futura that is awesome we to see a 850 out of the gray Malibu side foran I figured out why I'm breaking clutches yeah I put a 370 gear in to be able to do these events and like go down the highway I'm making everything work I'm like dude can I please have a spot on the pavement we're in the grass I got to pull the transmission he's like you know whatever you want but yeah so so the gearing is causing yeah I I've got a 370 in where it it's just making the car worked really really hard the transmission you know clutch and everything the pass was so bad I would have lost my position it was like a 15 something so I have to go out do another pass what place are you in right now third okay and the guy behind me is that uh two-lane black top 55 yep my average is a 1071 his average is a 1082 so he's he's on my tail if I don't go out here and let her eat all right go get a good pass man let I'm going to let it go high this time there you go three clutches in one week in the gaster NOA here hopefully you can run a number that orangs sa95 wants to run to lock in his first place lead in the street racer class it's aggressive off the starting line and it's going to be close ah too quick cuz he made a lot of power off the back 845 at 16 they're going to have to come back around to try that again Lane Stark back up for another pass he's run two fours today one that he can turn in but not quick enough to be in first place lead Nathan McMaster also right behind him in the lanes here coming up here to hopefully run his first four of the week first four ever oh are you kidding me are you kidding me 844 in the quarter how you know what the Gap is right now 4,000 ahe four oh you're ahead for 5 four unless he goes fast oh okay someone need to tell Derrick in the announc well we may be wrong we did the math today because of how these cars are stacked right now the blue Mustang behind me 854 175 is how quick he's averaged for 4 days the 240 the purple 240 854 350 and then the 79 gray Malibu is a 854 550 and then the 73 Camaro the beautiful red and silver Camaro 854 575 they're all 854 is with a 175 350 550 575 so literally 4 th000 of a second separating the four of them right now from first second third fourth it's going to be very interesting to see see how these guys do today they're all going to be getting for that 850 before they are done running today holy crap what this class is insane reason we're just gonna make it's not oiling that's the whole issue we fought oil pressure issues all week so that the that's the last place to get oil back there number eight gotcha so it's the oil is getting everywhere else enough to make it survive except the so you're oiling it ahead of the past basically like if we just cram as much in there as we can that's the goal wow you know that thing
