A COURT OF FROST & STARLIGHT BY SARAH J MAAS BOOK REVIEW

The Next Chapter in the Fever Series: A Review of Nesta's Story

It's finally here, folks! The next installment in the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning has arrived, and I am beyond excited to dive back into the world of the Fae. As a huge fan of the series, I've been waiting for what feels like an eternity to get my hands on Nesta's story. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint.

Cassie Anna Nesta is the name we'll be focusing on in this next part of the series, and I'm thrilled to say that she's a character that's been on my mind since day one. 90% of us saw it coming, but who cares? I want it to happen, I really do! I'm happy that it's happening and excited for what's to come, but there's also a part of me that's conflicted about Nesta's character. There are times when I read her that I'm really invested in her story and care deeply about her struggles. But then there are other moments when I find myself not caring as much about her, or even actively disliking her. It's a complicated situation, to say the least.

One thing is for sure, though: Nesta is a complex character. She's got a lot on her plate, even before the events of this series started to unfold. We get to see glimpses of her past in previous books, but it's clear that there's still so much more to learn about her. The fact that Mac has decided to write an entire new series about her is both exciting and intimidating. I'm eager to see how she'll grow and change over the course of this new story, especially when it comes to her relationship with Cassian.

Speaking of Cassian, I have to admit that I've grown quite fond of him over the years. He's a loyal and loving partner, and his bond with the other characters in the series is truly special. I'm hoping that we'll see more of Lucien as well – he's been somewhat overlooked in previous books, but I think it's time for us to get to know him better.

One thing that might come as a surprise to some readers is that this next installment is more or less just a "filler" book. It doesn't really have any major plot twists or surprises, and it mostly serves as a way to catch up with our favorite characters. However, I wouldn't say that's necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it's nice to take a step back and remember where everyone is in the story, especially when you're investing as much emotional energy into your reading experience as we are.

As for my own experience with this book, let me just say that it was read in a day – two "mana rages" worth of reading. That's not exactly what I'd call a thorough review, but when you love a series as much as I do, sometimes the words just flow! So if you're looking for my expert opinion on this book (spoiler alert: there isn't one), all I can say is that it's more of the same from Karen Marie Moning. If you've read and loved the previous books in the Fever series, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this one just as much.

But what about you, dear readers? Have you been waiting patiently for Nesta's story to unfold? What are your thoughts on this latest installment of the Fever series? Let me know in the comments below! And if you're new to the world of MacKayla Lane and her friends, don't worry – I've got a wealth of information about each book in the series right here. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today I'm here to talk about a quart of frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas this is the four point three point five book in the quarter throws Roses series so this is like a novella this like 210 pages with like thirty extra pages at the back to let you know what's gonna happen in the continuation of this series and yes I don't wouldn't call this like the fourth book in this series no it's just kind of a in-between book get familiar with this series we have a court of thorns and roses a quarter mist and fury and then a court of wings and ruin the original trilogy but with the success of it because a ton of people and glue myself love this series Sarah J Maas decided to do a spin-off series or a continuation of the series I don't know what exactly to call it that's gonna follow some of the characters from the series make any sense basically a court of wings there were a court a thorn to Rose's father Sarah and her journey and her love interest and things like that and the continuation of the series we're gonna follow a different protagonist and a couple different ones that for that matter so this is kind of like the official wrapping up fair at Murray sans story I really love her court of thorns and roses series I just love it I feel like I connect both the characters it's easier to follow I love the romance much more in this one but I still love throne of glass as well but I really enjoyed this series like that there she is continuing on with the series makes me happy but do I think this book is necessary not really like I said not a lot happens in it I really feel like this could have been like an online thing not a published thing in my opinion because I keep saying it and I will keep saying there's no real depth to this book there's no real plot it soul follows the whole event of winter solstice and just kind of catching up with characters and it's obviously a book to pave the way for the next part of this series or spin-off series what is it I mean she says in the back right here so I know right the series will continue so it's still going on so it's gonna be good four or five six whatever so it's a continuation so but you didn't really get a continuation to like the last twenty pages of it so the beginning of this book is just kind of a catching up for all characters and that's the basic plot of it plot so overall as a rating I would give this like three and a half four out of five I don't think it was necessary Mimi if you haven't read it don't watch me further I'm not gonna spoil anything good snap and but either right just so you know I will be talking about the characters in case you write in the other books this is gonna be short read because there's not a lot to talk about um so as far as the next part of the series in case you don't want to know don't watch any further who it's gonna be about but in case you do watch further um it's gonna be Cassie Anna Nesta I think 90% of us saw that coming I really want it to happen I'm happy that it's happening and I'm still I'm happy that it's happening but I'm conflicted about Nesta Nesta is a very complex character there are times when I read her that I'm really invested in her character and you know I'm really you know interested and you know I see her dilemmas and I really care about her and I've had a reader that I just don't like her Casta is a character that I think is meant to be complex that's made to really you don't have definite feelings which way or the other about her you know there's sometimes you love her sometimes you can't stand her and I am exactly in that boat you know Andi that's way she's meant to be because she's got a lot of things going on even in the beginning of this whole series before the events of nest before the things happen in essence she was still a very hard character to read about so the fact that really did a whole new series about her it makes me happy to learn more about her but also makes me be like oh boy cuz this girl is tough to read about Kirsten and watching her progression and whether or not her and cassian will get together and you know why not she could just grow and kind of mature and not be kind of a jerk anymore I mean I get she's had a lot go on I totally understand that but hey she responds sometimes is she's very closed off obviously she's fighting a lot of her agony and she's taking on other people and I'm hoping to see a lot of growth from her from that to finally you know grow up for that love and accept people and you know that kind of stuff very excited to read about Cassie and I love Cassie and I'm a sucker for I'm hoping we get a lot of Lucian as well I of when a series kind of just about him because when we read Cora wings of Rome we learned a lot about his backstory and a lot of things that he doesn't know quite yet about his own personal life and his own history so I was very I was hoping that we would get a little bit more of him in the future and I think we will in this next part of the series at least I'm hoping so because obviously he's got some unfinished business with Elaine and Azrael I mean fair rice that are definitely gonna have to be in the next part of the series but I'm not kind of hope now they take a back seat because they've gotten you know three and a half books about them and I do love them but I think it's time to move on like their chapter their books have officially closed let's kind of move on and leave them like you know where they're at and just let's focus on some new characters and have some new growth so I am very excited to see the continuation of the series I'm a junkie for it I'm gonna continue to read it again like I said do I think this book is necessary no there's no what happens I mean that's pretty much just catching with characters very nice and floating with each other and basically shopping and everybody's shopping for each other for winter solstice and that is the general plot of this whole book nothing really goes on it's just kind of a filler book so I mean don't think it was necessary by any means did I read it like in a day yeah cuz that's like two mana rages so yeah I think that's gonna be the extent of my review because there's nothing else to talk about if you haven't read this series I would definitely check it out I'm sure you've heard everyone shout from the mountaintops how much they love quart of mist in fury the second book myself included best book of a series but I still really enjoyed this series of time and I'm excited to see it progress and just excited to see Nesta you know grow more and be more and fall in love with her but also you know read about her complexities very interested in that so yeah if you've read this book let me know your thoughts and opinions on it I think if this book as well is there you're gonna love it or you're gonna just be like why I'm in the middle of that one as well but yeah let me know your thoughts and opinions on it if you're looking I do have reviews for every single one of these books in this series which I will link them up here and down below if you enjoyed this video be sure to
