First Annual Crossfit For Cancer _ Sarah Grace Fitness

CrossFit for Cancer: A Charity Workout Event

I'm Sarah Grace, the founder of the Grace Foundation, a nonprofit organization that honors my mom who I lost to multiple myeloma cancer. My first annual CrossFit for Cancer workout is being held at CrossFit Hyde Park, and all proceeds will go directly to supporting holistic and integrative care for individuals with cancer.

I've got vendors setting up, a DJ ready to go live, and about three different heats filled with people doing this workout. I'm excited to take you guys with me as we get everything squared away in the gym. Welcome to our first annual CrossFit for Cancer!

Before I start my speech, I just want to say thank you to all of you for being here. Your support means a lot to me, and every little bit helps in making my dream come true. Michelle, thank you so much for letting me take over her gym today.

I have a question for you guys: how many of you in one way or another have been affected by cancer? Whether it's personal or someone in your life that you love, please show me some hands. Yes, I know how hard it can be to lose someone to cancer, and as someone who has lost their mom to this disease, it's close to my heart.

Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide, with 1 million,735,300 new cases diagnosed this year alone. That's almost forty percent of men in their lifetime who will get cancer. It's heartbreaking to think about how many lives are affected by this disease.

But I believe that with a healthy lifestyle, consisting of diet, exercise, and mental health, we can prevent disease. Chemotherapy and radiation may be effective for some, but for others, they're not the only options. At the Grace Foundation, we're raising money to support holistic and integrative care for those who prefer alternative treatments.

The money raised from this workout will go directly towards helping people pay for these alternative treatments. I want to thank my sponsors who have provided gifts for our winners, raffle prizes, and just shown up with their tables. Clean Conscience Foods, doTERRA essential oils, Clean Juice, Love Health Chiropractic, and Chesty Fitness have all been amazing supporters today.

We're also grateful to Fit Aid for repping them at the event. Today was a huge success, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. My husband Travis and I are going to double whatever we made today, so we'll be contributing to the cause as well.

If you're interested in supporting this cause, please visit our website, the Grace Charity Org, and learn more about us. You can also donate there. The main thing I want people to take away from this is that your health is your responsibility. It's up to you to eat healthy, exercise, and do all those things to live a better quality of life.

For those of you who may be struggling with cancer, I want you to know that there are alternative treatments available. At the Grace Foundation, I'm hoping to connect people with doctors and practitioners around the world who can help them on their journey towards healing.

Thanks for watching today, and I'll see you all soon!
