**My Reading Plans for the Upcoming Week**
I'm excited to share my reading plans with you all for the upcoming week. As a participant in the #readathon, I've got two books that are currently on my agenda and I hope to finish them by the end of the weekend. My top priority book is "The Raven Boys" by Maggie Stiefvater, which I've been slowly making my way through over the past few days. I'm pleased to say that I've been reading around 30 pages a day, with today's total coming in at 41 pages. While I'd love to finish this book tomorrow, I think it's doable, and I'm excited to see how the story unfolds.
**The Quirky World of The Raven Boys**
One of the things that's drawing me to "The Raven Boys" is its unique writing style and quirky characters. Stiefvater has a beautiful way with words, and I find myself getting lost in the world she's created. The characters are also well-developed and complex, making it easy to become invested in their stories. Overall, I'm really enjoying this book so far, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
**Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas**
My second book for the week is "Heir of Fire" by Sarah J. Maas, which I'm about halfway through at the moment. I've reached chapter 36, so I should be able to finish this one soon. While I don't have a specific goal in mind for finishing this book, I do hope to get it done before the end of the week.
**A Challenge to Finish More Books**
As part of my reading goals for the month, I'm trying to reduce my TBR pile from 67 books down to 65. To help me achieve this goal, I've set a challenge to finish three more books in addition to "The Raven Boys" and "Heir of Fire". However, since I don't know which book I want to read next, I'm opening it up for suggestions from all of you. That's right – I'll be visiting my TBR shelves to see what catches my eye.
**My TBR Shelves**
For those who are curious, here's a peek at my TBR shelves:
* Starting with the letter "T", which is where we're currently at.
* Moving on to "S" next, then "R" after that.
* And so on... As you can see, I've got a good number of books lined up for me to get through in the coming months.
**Choosing My Next Book**
For now, I'm stuck between a few different options. Since it's still May, and my June TBR list is still looming on the horizon, I think I'll take some time to decide what book I want to read next. One option that's been sticking out to me is "Eon" by Alison Goodman – I've heard great things about this one, and it's definitely caught my eye.
**Other Options**
Of course, there are plenty of other books on my TBR list that could also be good choices. Some other options that come to mind include:
* "Vampire Academy" by Rachelle Mead – a favorite among many readers, I know!
* "Half Bad" by Sally Green – another great option from my TBR shelves.
* And then there's the possibility of reading "VR Deets" by A.S. King or "Dune" by Carrie Corp and Lori Lington...
**Let's Get This Readathon Started!**
That's all for now, folks! If you're participating in the #readathon with me, be sure to follow along on Twitter and share your progress with me using the hashtag. I'll also be updating my Goodreads page regularly to show off my reading progress. Let's get this readathon started!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: eneveryone it's hailey and today i'm doing my friday reads so i'm doing this pretty early it's wednesday today and i usually will film this either on friday or on thursday but i wanted to do it earlier because this is also going to include a kind of announcement i guess um so as you guys know i've been having a lot of trouble getting back into reading after school so i decided to kind of do my own little personal readathon i usually do that and like i'll just kind of tweet about it a little bit but i decided this time i would kind of open it up to other people to participate if they want to um if you don't want to that's fine i'm just kind of doing it because the idea is i want to finish two more books by the end of the month so this readathon is going to be taking place from today which is wednesday may 27th until sunday may 31st so it's basically just to kind of finish off may and read as many books as you can off of your tbr before the end of may so after much deliberation i decided to call it the hashtag i need to readathon so it was going to be the hashtag not at bookcon athon because you know i was supposed to go but anyways basically i'm just going to be tweet it's like super super low-key i'm just going to be tweeting about what i'm reading and how i'm doing for the whole entire weekend um i don't have too much to do this weekend i don't think so um i should be able to do pretty well or else that would kind of be awkward if i failed at my own little read-a-thon so if you want to participate or if you want updates you can follow my twitter it's at hale's hearts nyc and also my and also my instagram which is also at hale's hearts nyc um i'm just going to be mentioning it in my wrap-up i'm not going to do like a separate wrap up for the readathon i'm going to do it in my monthly wrap-up because i don't want to make another one but yeah there have been a lot of readathons lately and i just haven't been able to like fully participate in them for whatever reason so that's why i kind of made this one um there is another readathon next week it's the hashtag uh tbr takedown readathon um it's starting off june so i'm also going to be participating in that one but if you don't want to do two readathons in a row i completely understand i'm just kind of opening it up to other people but i'm going to do it anyways even if no one participates that being said if you do want to participate comment down below and tell me that you're participating or comment down below with your tbr list or tweet me a picture of your tbr tweet me like just your tbr basically just any books that you want to finish by the end of the month those will be the books that you can read for this readathon or whatever you want to read i don't really care so anyways here's what i'm planning on reading this weekend and reading for the hashtag i need to readathon so kind of my top priority book right now is the raven boys by maggie stiefvater um i have been reading this kind of like slowly creeping my way through it i've been reading like 30 pages a day um today i read 41 pages which is already better than i've been doing um but i'm on page 127 and i want to try and finish this tomorrow so i think that's pretty doable hopefully i don't know we'll see i am really loving it so far the writing is beautiful and i really enjoy all of the characters and kind of the quirkiness of the story it's just really fantastic so far and then the second book that i'm hoping to finish is heir of fire by sarah j maas i am a little bit more than halfway through i'm on chapter 36 right now so i think i should be able to finish this i'm hoping that i will be able to finish this on friday or saturday maybe friday if i'm feeling ambitious i don't know but this one is also very fantastic so far so those are the two books that i'm hoping to finish but i think i'm going to try and challenge myself to finish a third if everything goes according to plan and i don't have to work on sunday then i think i should be able to finish a third book but i don't really know which one yet and the reason i had wanted to finish two books was because at the beginning of the month my goal was to get my tbr pile down to 65 bucks right now it's at 67 so if i finish these two books then i will be able to accomplish my goal but for the third book i'm going to ask a little bit of assistance from you guys so we're going to venture to my tbr shelves and just we'll figure out what's going on there so these are my tbr shells right here starting with t's which is right there and then going here and here and here and there so those are all of my tbr here i'll take that away those are all of my tbr books um including shades of earth which is what i'm going to pick up after um air of fire so that one's not included because i'm kind of giving myself time to read that one um but yeah these are all my tbr books and i'm not really sure what i want to read after i'm done the raven boys because i think it's going to be still in may so i'm kind of not going to be picking from my um june tbr i'm just going to be kind of picking whatever i feel like reading so one of the options is actually from my june tbr and that's eon by alison goodman uh this one was kind of sticking out to me a little bit so i don't know maybe that one the only other one that was kind of appealing to me on here was vampire academy by rachelle mead which i know you guys are all gonna vote for but i'm not that positive that i want to read it right now i don't know also maybe half bad by sally green i don't know there's not too much sticking out to me here either i guess uh please ignore vr deets by a.s king maybe that one it looks kind of short or dune by carrie corp and lori lington i kind of just want to get this off of my tbr um the shock of the fall by nathan filer maybe i would say hopeless but hopeless is on my tbr for the hashtag tbr takedown readathon maybe the forsaken because this book has been on my tbr forever and i don't know when i'm ever gonna read it any of these books really i honestly have no idea like i don't know so yeah if you guys see anything that you have read and you think would be a good one uh to pick up that would be really quick that i could finish before the end of the month uh let me know that would be very helpful because i really don't know what i want to read so these are the options here so yeah um i'm just going to finish this off here because i don't want to stand up again like i said let me know if you're going to participate in the hashtag i need to readathon um you can follow me on twitter and like tweet me um your progress and everything in your tbrs and everything um that's where i will be mostly updating how i'm doing for it and also on goodreads i'll be giving like my page progress as i usually do so yeah i will see you guys in another video byeeveryone it's hailey and today
