S15 Update - FD STL Setup

The Art of FD: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Upcoming Event

As we approach the highly anticipated event, Fast and Furious Drifting (FD), we couldn't help but get excited about the upcoming competition. In this exclusive behind-the-scenes look, we'll take you through the pre-event preparations, car modifications, and the team's expectations.

One of the most crucial aspects of preparing for FD is getting a feel for the track. The team takes advantage of a practice lap to get accustomed to the layout, noting that it's not going to be a big angle corner due to their strategy of power drifting through it. They plan to stay wide and then flick back to the touch-and-go zone, which they're confident will give them an edge over the competition.

However, it's clear that this won't be an easy task. The team acknowledges that the transition from one zone to another will be tricky, requiring precise control of the car. They'll need to balance power and precision, as well as navigate through a series of tight corners and hairpin turns. It's a challenging layout, but they're determined to make it work in their favor.

As we take a closer look at the team's approach, it becomes clear that they've put a lot of thought into their strategy. They plan to carry speed through certain areas, utilizing their car's capabilities to maintain momentum while also being mindful of the risk of oversteering or losing traction. This delicate balance will be crucial in determining their performance on the day.

The team has also taken steps to fine-tune their car, with friend Chris spending a full day playing around with the toe curve and adjusting the wing to make it more drivable. This change aims to loosen up the car's performance, making it easier to handle while still maintaining its speed. With this adjustment in place, they're confident that they'll be able to adapt to any situation on the track.

As we get closer to the event, the team is feeling a mix of emotions – excitement, nervousness, and confidence. They know that their car has undergone significant changes, including quick detailer being used as cologne by Shulman, which adds to their anticipation. The pre-event walkthrough has given them a better understanding of the track's layout, but they still have doubts about certain areas.

One of the most pressing concerns is the inner clip, which requires precise timing and control to execute correctly. The team knows that this section will be crucial in determining their overall performance, as it sets up the next transition zone. They're also aware that the wall at one point is notorious for causing accidents, so they'll need to stay focused and patient.

The team's camaraderie is palpable throughout the video, with each member offering words of encouragement and support. They appreciate the love and attention from their fans, who have been following their journey closely. This shared experience has created a sense of unity among the team members, making them an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

As we wrap up our behind-the-scenes look at the FD event, it's clear that this is going to be an exciting competition. With a well-prepared car, a confident team, and a deep understanding of the track layout, they're ready to take on whatever challenges come their way. Will they be able to execute their strategy flawlessly? Only time will tell. One thing is for sure – we can't wait to see them in action tomorrow.

The Team's Approach to FD: A Personal Perspective

As the event approaches, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Excitement, nervousness, and confidence all swirl together as I think about what lies ahead. As one of the team members, I've had the privilege of working closely with my colleagues, each bringing their unique expertise to the table.

My role in the team is focused on car preparation, where I'll be working tirelessly to fine-tune every aspect of our vehicle. From adjusting the toe curve to tweaking the wing's angle, I know that even the smallest adjustments can make a significant difference. My friend Chris has been instrumental in this process, dedicating hours to test and refine our setup.

I have to admit, using quick detailer as cologne is something that still catches me off guard. Shulman's sense of humor never ceases to amaze us, but we've learned to roll with it. It's just one of the many quirks that make working with this team so enjoyable.

As I reflect on our approach to FD, I'm struck by how much work has gone into preparing for this event. From the track layout to our car modifications, every aspect has been carefully considered. We're not just competing against each other; we're also fighting for the title of Fast and Furious champion.

While there's no way to predict what will happen on the day, I do feel confident in our strategy. Our team has worked tirelessly to fine-tune every detail, from our car's performance to our own driving techniques. We've honed our skills through countless practice sessions, and we're ready to put it all on the line.

The anticipation is building up to a fever pitch, but I know that when we step onto that track tomorrow, everything will fall into place. Our cars are ready, our strategy is solid, and our team spirit is stronger than ever. Bring it on – we can't wait to see what FD has in store for us!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enalright guys hold on to today's video is kind of the earlier day or the day before when this main video is gonna take place we landed in st. Louis Missouri today from Portland Oregon had a layover spend most the day traveling but one thing that I wanted to kind of touch on so my friend Andy is picking me up from the airport who is also my crew chief for Formula Drift which is why I'm here in st. Louis it's like 20 minutes in the airport so we'll go there tomorrow we'll set up and everything but remember how I was talking about how much I appreciate how wherever I go I wind up in a cool car I am feeling Andy's gonna pick me up in something cool so we'll see well it looks like I was right so you guys might remember this car this is the r32 that Andy had in Japan was a two and a half three years ago yeah yeah and he imported it brought it over finally got a register and everything now we're getting pulled over what's drifting I guess for Street drifting munging through the traffic you know you have your ID with you partner me yes yep how hard was it for a right-hand drive car give me my passport is that cool hi my driver's license just buried in my bag yeah that's yeah here's your around Missouri yeah you just pick me up from the airport I'm heading home I don't I don't think you'll get a ticket 78 in a 60 yeah you're right I always wondered if the kilometers like excuse would work like oh I just got this car I'm not used to conversion right all right dude you got away with it 78 and a 60 I mean 68 in a 70 no yeah all right now rip out of here you won't do some donuts around them they do over 180 KS you won't even try to chase you got a Subaru guy trying to race this now big fart dude the sad part is he was just floored right there okay so it's now the next day we are at Andy's shop where the rig has already arrived as well as the s-sir team and what on this planet could possibly be better than the s13 definitely Shulman ater you forgot how could you forget me okay so a lot of stuff has been going on with the s15 not so much of that 13 Shulman I I don't want to put you on the spot but I have to show it because people are gonna think that I did it it's okay I'm not mad about it I'm sad about it but I'm not mad about it I'm not madam I'm just a little sad about it but I just I don't want to put it in a video and be like oh when did you crash it out I'm did you back into something is your saddle I'm smack your what your smutty alright alright I'll show it real quick oh we had a little incident with us 13 okay we're done we're done it didn't have anything to do with Schulman so there's there's some interesting stuff going on that's 15 but I think what's even better going off are a little encounter with the police last night and he literally has a ticket from the other day where'd you I guess you guys can read what do you call the police officer for pulling him over just for having one plate so you guys have to have two plates here it sucks in Florida we drive race cars on the street been a while and there's actually been a lot going on behind the scenes not only the last 15 but with other stuff that you guys will see you want some back in Florida but mister big boost there's here in the flush I got pretty much all your car space yeah I know I'm excited so but more importantly I want to film like a little update of kind of what's new with us 15 15 has been over all of the images that have from you beating the living practice yeah and then the exhaust was broken a small fix that differential was leaking fluid that's also being replaced from seal this one it's a three piece here that's two o-rings and shaft seal then the differential also was blowing oil all of a breather then weight is just thing to come off yeah oh yeah good call you're always so smart all right so one of the things that was kind of annoying with this was when you do a quick change in you change gear and you lose fluid and you can continue to run it with less fluid that's kind of the design like they're fine to run a little bit less good but what we got now catch and actually winters makes for it so sockets can and also some filler bottles well so the top part is actually the battle part says this whole by cartridge here with foam or sponge then that band too but the differential goes to the top part then the bottom part of the catch and is actually goes through the filler hole on a differential so when you change the adhering on the back you don't no longer have to you all meet and put our racial attacks the whole thing that takes forever you can actually just put it back on and then just like what I don't know how to wait was that a noise that I normally make oh oh yeah well no yep yep I like the Gloup Gloup Gloup alright anything else walking around the car before we make Shulman too uncomfortable the throttle pedal was also a little too long I shortened it now look at it pretty good let me shine a light on it actually good day talk about that oh so this this is one of those good just three pedals oh alright so you see the angle from the wire right there to the inlet okay so not on the side it comes straight out of the hole before was too tall so we just grinding against the top so that's why the pedal had a little bit of like a weird binding feeling yeah so now it should be smooth also loop that up and they just pour a bunch of fluid and I with it lubricated the inside of the wires should be all out there so did you say we have a new timing from the degree in stuff that kind of got sucked in that I want so you didn't new timing belt for one two three three got in one other sprocket and he jumped timing one tooth on the crank so both cans are still lining up together but like Frank was one to thaw interesting sounds weird I was like I was like are you low on power the car feels weird is it enough to throw it off interesting timing so do you think that happened before it got tuned or after I got tuned no after your tune from OTB remember I have to clean all over over cause Rover gets stuck on all the sprockets who's a piece of roller fly scene they'll get shoot oh it's too big it will actually make it jump timing put their cover now to like help protect the ball all this area from mine getting access is degrading civil the whole thing picking out the read not only they stop bars gonna pick up debris now we couldn't wrote a cover before so why can we now right don't yet we couldn't run one before we knew one Dan Burke it makes read and write this tiny piece hasta host come in on this side instead of the middle here sick actually service a cover and also the same peaceful to Albany Rose one bracket and we used to have problems with that bracket to that we had before where we'd throw belts right here yep so it's cool I'm excited to drive this thing so Chris is helping us right now to do some final alignment tweaks when he's done I'm gonna see if he can help explain kind of some of the craziness that's going on with the alignment with the S 15 but here's a sheet to give you an idea we'll talk about this in a second massacres are so loud you can't even
