As we embarked on our first Advent calendar experience, my city girl companion was filled with excitement and skepticism. because the sun has not come up yet I have been up for over an hour despite the fact that once again it is 5 15 because Hunter and Sadie decided that they wanted to give themselves like a lick bath you know like a cat like okay their entire freaking body their paws their arms their like their hips their legs everything that they could possibly reach and they both went at this for over half an hour try to get them to stop they would not stop they were dedicated to their cause and so after they kept me up for like 20 30 minutes of doing this um unfortunately I was so awake that going back to sleep is not an option somehow Darren managed to sleep through the whole thing so he's still upstairs getting his beauty rest I'm not butt hurt nope not jealous we're fine fine um but anywho I couldn't go to sleep so made myself some coffee figured I would get head start on my workout this morning I've been wanting to get an earlier start to begin with um this is a lot earlier than um I was thinking but uh here we are so we're getting started right now I'm uploading every other day so I have tons of new content for you so don't forget to hit that subscribe button I would love for you to the pups are still sleeping I just finished my five miles yes it's 7 30. the sun is just starting to rise as I just showed you and um I decided I'm gonna go upstairs and watch the sunrise like by the pool because like the reflection in the pool is so beautiful that was a beautiful sunrise so is that out there watched the sun come up enjoyed myself finished my coffee well for the most part you know you know I take hours it takes me hours um but anywho um Darren and the pups are still sleeping um it's about 7 55 right now so I'm gonna go ahead and shower and usually all of my robes are in the bedroom however I was doing laundry and letting one of my Barefoot dreams um robes air dry in the laundry room and it's ooh okay let's not spill oil scented oil all over my robe as I was saying I'm just finished washing it um but it's it's dry thankfully so yeah I'm gonna shower put on my robe hang out relax maybe uh tidy up the house a bit and just wait for everyone else to wake up it's about 8 40. everyone is still sleeping I caught up on emails and then I was working on some descriptions and things like that for some of my videos going up for this one and then I just finished cooking breakfast so I'll show you guys what I made so I have two hash brown patties the vegetarian egg bites from Costco and then my borderline burnt bacon because I like it really crispy and then I served on my kombucha today I'm drinking the bubbly Rose foreign foreign hey guys I'm in Darren's car right now I'm on my way or I'm about to head over to our storage facility for our boat so we um when it's off season we keep our boat in this dry storage facility so yesterday I called and had them bring out the trailer so right now I'm heading to the storage facility picking up the trailer and then going to the marina Darren's going to drive the boat to the marina we're going to load the boat Drive the boat and trailer back to the storage drop off boat and trailer and then drive back home so it's about a two two and a half hour situation so that's how I'm spending the first half of my afternoon so I wanted to pop in let you guys know what's going on and let's get going you guys there is this car in front of me and there is smoke coming from under the hood and I was like yeah that looks like that's gonna explode no thank you so I merged to a different Lane he merges in front of me and I was like hmm it's weird Okay emerge again he merges in front of me I have merged four times and this like smoking car keeps merging in front of me I don't know what is going on but if it's about to explode it is like that driver is so determined to take me down with it and I don't understand why why why I don't know I don't know guys but this drive is becoming rather eventful as I try to dodge this thing can we just acknowledge do you see how well I backed this up right on point so I just hooked up the trailer and honestly this is always like the most stressful part for me because driving with an empty trailer it just like bounces like I have no problem driving with the boat on the trailer because this car tows really well um but empty trailers just the bouncing stresses me out so um I always call my mom and she talks me the duration of my drive just to make me feel better so I already and like calm me down um I already texted my mom to make sure that she would be available when I was like in 15-20 minutes I'm going to be calling you you know the deal empty trailer we're pulling the boat out today and she's like I will make myself available so I'm calling her right now oh and then we'll get going hello hi Mom I love you are you pulling it yeah we will be able to write it off fortnite because that um we got her ready to go we just got back from dropping off the boat it's 1 15 right now so I'm getting a little hungry on the stove right now I'm just steaming some tamales they're the chicken tamales that you get at Costco here I'll show you guys what they look like okay this is the brand Del real and they're pretty good so my favorite tamales are from a local place around here called La Esperanza however the lions are always super long and it's like out of the way so when I was at Costco I saw these and I was like perfect so heating up two of those right now and then on them because they're they just don't have enough sauce honestly for my liking at least so I always use this Pico Pika taco sauce mild there we go wanted to focus it for you guys so I just get this at Raley's and honestly it tastes like the sauce that the chicken's in in the tamales so we were trying to figure out once we take down Halloween do we put up Thanksgiving or do we put up Christmas and what we ended up deciding was that already the Halloween stuff is so minimal in the size space that we have now in our old house it was like a Halloween house like I freaking loved it but uh using that same amount of Decor in such a bigger space um yeah it looks like just a Sprinkle of Halloween and then the amount of Halloween stuff we have like half of that amount of Thanksgiving so honestly it doesn't really make sense so we decided forget Thanksgiving we are going straight to Christmas so for sure taking down Halloween today I'm not sure if we're putting up Christmas today because that is a hole a whole thing there's a lot of Christmas stuff although we don't have the trees so I guess it'd be Christmas minus the trees is that weird that feels weird now look I get that this is not visually attractive but let me tell you it is so good so we just finished Gathering up all of our fall stuff so we're gonna start putting all of these things away so we're gonna go get the buckets and put it all away and then we'll go from there we'll see if we have the energy to put up Christmas everything is all cleaned up and put away and you guys our house feels so empty like without all of the exciting things of course we have our regular pillows we need to put out but oh the house is so sad I'm not sure what to do like I've never not decorated for Christmas and I feel like it just wouldn't feel like Christmas without all of like the Christmas decor but I mean sincerely we would barely be here to enjoy it and it's quite a bit of work so um I don't know I mean it's still the first week of November so I think we're just gonna sit on it for now wait and I don't know maybe next week we'll decorate we'll see great news guys so Darren has finally agreed that we are putting up Christmas today today is November 5th so we're putting up Christmas pretty early but I am so excited so obviously Christmas trees are not for sale yet we always have real trees however once again we're going to be traveling quite a bit throughout November and December so we wouldn't be able to water Christmas trees to begin with so this year we're going to be getting a fake tree I think we're gonna get an eight foot tree just because we have really high ceilings so I think I believe last year we got like a nine or nine and a half foot in here um real Christmas tree but I'm thinking we're gonna do an eight foot and then next year we're gonna go back to our real Christmas trees and then put this one in either the main guest bedroom or downstairs where we usually do usually we've lived here one year um but where we did like the Christmas party and stuff last year where the game room is so I think that's what we're going to do with it okay my memory card ran out of memory deleted some things we're back okay um so yeah and then I think we'd put the Christmas tree just in a different like bedroom or downstairs next year so it doesn't go to waste but I'm really excited so I'm gonna start right now um Darren is being a wonderful little pack mule and is bringing everything up from downstairs upstairs oh you're carrying two at a time well you are and enter is itching away always sounds like a thumping sound um but anywho so yeah I'm gonna start unloading so I'm gonna start unloading these bins and kind of setting things up and then once Darren brings everything upstairs then um he's going to run off to Home Depot to get the tree hunties honey honey do you need help come here come here his little forearm is really itchy yeah yeah I can help you out with that oh yes oh yes he is presenting he loves little massages like right here loving that so things are still coming up but some of my favorite Christmas decor is up here this is Nolan he is my beautiful like four and a half foot Nutcracker we have Peter who is the lovely little reindeer and then and then we have boots and boots are just what they sound like they are Mega Santa boots aren't they amazing and then they have these kind of like Bowl situations so um I used to put like mini candy canes in there however um unless we host Christmas and my little cousins come no one eats them so now I just kind of put like plastic ornaments because sometimes the dogs get in there Sniff and some fall out and I don't want to deal with broken glass so that's what we have um and then I'll show you guys once we start popping everything open these are all of the pillows um I showed you guys in some of my older decorate with me videos so I label everything so big red Christmas blanket Christmas blankets and towels Christmas pillows and I put them all in um big trash bags so that we don't have any issues with moths or Critters they're getting Dusty and you know we can kind of move them around the storage room so I yeah I put them all in bags and label them so when we cleaned up Halloween I did the same thing with all the Halloween bags I repackaged them up Christmas movie playing and we are opening the first bin foreign foreign to enjoy standing up close by the Christmas tree glimmering light I am Right Where I Wanna Be I will be home for a couple of days Wonder Wonder around with you you and me in the cold thought it never go I got you got you stopped running there is no way trying you better lose on your drinking hot wine by the fire I don't care or anything else it's Christmas some kind of love my friend do you like to be here too we're getting Alpha on the Shelf we've got an elf on the counter all right Mr Christmas and it's just you and me tonight I'll spend all this Christmas with you oh it's such a charm got you up in my arm there's nobody at the door you said I wish this will never be over darling it's time for your present come over here now now it's time to get out in the snow hiding in life with you choirs will sing and the joyvilles will ring nobody loves you as much as I do it's a wonderful feeling from floor to the ceiling it is that time of the year drinking hot wine by the fire hear our own we got nothing to fear it's Christmas some kind of love my friend pick up some candy canes unfortunately this entry area is kind of dark but you'll have to take my word for it that this little Forest Area looks really cute and then all the lights down that Darren labored over looks fantastic is it so good everything is looking amazing and so we're down to just these two bags and then these are three of these bins are ornaments and things for the tree and then we have one of kind of miscellaneous Decor that we're gonna wait and see if we're gonna use I put away all the other bins to kind of clear clear the area and then I've been vacuuming to clean up all the things that kind of fell while we were decorating and such we have moved on to a second Christmas movie so first you're watching The Night Before Christmas um with like the medieval night and now we're watching the Christmas Prince the royal baby obviously you've seen all of these but it's tradition we are taking a bit of a break to eat a very very traditional Christmas meal you know so we got wings I got boneless he got bone in we got some fries I always get the same thing I get boneless well done lemon pepper chicken love it and then fries and I think we have cheese sauce in here and then we always get the large Ranch because we plow through Ranch like it's no one's business it's crazy we are we are Ranch addicts and I'm not ashamed um I'm now drinking a North Coast Brewing Company whatever that is um drinking one of these I finished the Sam Adams and right now our beer fridge is random odds and ends we have like one of all these different types of beer so pick this one at random but it's actually pretty good so anywho we are going to enjoy dinner and then set up the tree and then hopefully figure out what to do with the final pieces of Decor that we decided we are using devastating updates they only include that's not for me okay they only included Darren's order you weren't even hungry you only ordered because I was hungry I know so now I mean well that doesn't help me I don't like what you got so now I'm trying to get this figured out doordash hopefully I can get another order sent out here like ASAP delightful update so Wingstop or not Wingstop um doordash apparently I don't know like what usually when you do like missing item it will like show you the your order like the list of all the items and then you click what was missing and then um they just refund you or like credit you however much it was this time they didn't do that they made me talk to an agent however when I talked to the agent she replaced the order not just my portion that was missing so that I could eat with Darren at the same time and everything would be hot and fresh she replaced the entire order I was like I mean we don't need to do that his food's here and she's like I'm doing it for you anyway Okay cool so now Darren's gonna have two meals so he'll have leftovers tomorrow and then they are resending the entire order for free and then they credited me five dollars what I mean I was just expecting a refund and I was gonna reorder I don't know what is going on but they have stepped up the customer service I am here for it in the meantime I have eaten a good portion of the fries half of one of the ranches because once again I am super hungry foreign guys so we are making some good progress on the tree we have put together the bottom two so we just have the top two left I think we just finished like opening all of the I guess branches up we we thought this was gonna be so much less work um I've never done this before um it's a lot of work it's a lot of work um but our new Wingstop order just arrived all right guys let's see what's inside oh no oh no more fries another large Ranch so six more of these one two three four five six oh my gosh okay we have a small box plus another large box like Darren got last time okay Erin's okay so he now has two orders uh usually you get 15. oh yes yes they came through you guys oh no okay I'm gonna spilled them but you guys my food my food has arrived oh my gosh you guys look at this quantity Branch you guys you guys we've all this Ranch and then the one that I was working on with the fries we have 12 12 large ranches this is really aggressive and then yeah a second fry because I pretty much almost plowed through this because I was so hungry I basically ate that entire thing so yeah now Darren has uh he's got wings for tomorrow oh wow look at the little Christmas elf you put together the third one this thing's gonna be nine feet when it's done oh pull down one branch work it and then honestly I think it might be easier to like fluff them up and then attach them Darren was saying this is uh the most Christmas movies he's watched in a long time I've ever watched yeah you're not really too into it usually I watch it oh yeah like Marathon wise yeah you're right usually we'll do like one at a time and then like call it a day but um yeah we are we're setting new records out here guys we are really getting after things so as you can see in the third movie like setting up Christmas is an event it's an event which is why we were really debating if we wanted to do it how surprised that we got as far me too although I I was telling Darren I was like there is no way we're doing ornaments tonight like it is it's only seven okay I was ready to tell you guys it's 10 p.m um it's seven it's seven uh sun has been down so I thought it was a lot later um but anywho uh yeah I think tomorrow he pitched the idea that we could have our coffee or hot cocoa and do the ornament portion of the tree oh well we did that yeah I did I told him I would make him hot cooked well you know the night is young it's only 7 P.M okay I have not not delivered I just haven't delivered yet it's coming good morning um I have my workout outfit on it's really cold so I'm wearing my robe for now coffee is brewing the house just feels so beautiful so peaceful and honestly I'm really happy with it right now Darren and the pups are still sleeping so I'm going to get at least part of a workout in and then decorate the tree so hopefully this will all be done in a few hours but in the meantime I'm really enjoying like everything that we've done so far it looks so good hi hunties Hunter has woken up let's see you guys I mean if this isn't fashion like I don't know what it is um I'm I mean run away right um just finished um today I decided ready to do four miles and then I stopped like halfway through and I did like a 30 minute dance practice session I taught myself one of the other dances I need to know for that wedding so now I have two memorized um I practiced it to Perfection honestly that one was a lot easier than the other one a lot slower and like more simple steps so I feel good about that someone's calling me spam as usual so oh yeah now I'm gonna go upstairs shower get ready and then um I guess it's time to put the ornaments on the tree hey guys so showered got dressed and ready to set up the ornaments on the Christmas tree so Darren is um selecting a Christmas movie right now I made my usual breakfast you know the Costco egg bites um hash brown patties and some Costco bacon however um one of like my longest friends Kersey she sent me a photo of the jalapeno poppers at Costco right and I was like oh girl you best believe I already secured some and then you know what she tells me and she told me some big news devastating news honestly um but she was like if you zoom in on the price tag you'll see there's a little star at the top apparently Costco puts that little star at the Top If items are not everyday items so whether it's like they just bought like one or two shipments of it you know it's like a temporary thing like like that or like a seasonal thing pretty much just means that like it's not an everyday item which means that after all of these months of waiting for my jalapeno poppers now they're back they must only be here for winter so they once again like I never talked about this a million times but like really it's so important to me so important to me guys um so the jalapeno poppers sold out the weekend before Super Bowl and they've been gone since so I'm assuming I guess they get them like mid-october through like their last shipment I'm assuming comes in in like January or early February and then they're done for the season so pretty much mid-January um Jared and I were strategizing we're going to have to it's going to be very important that we go to Costco and I think we buy like a dozen boxes and the boxes are you know they're they're pretty big so we're gonna have to fill this freezer the downstairs freezer and then I haven't told my parents yet but they spend most of winter in Mexico which means they're not using their freezers so I'm going to use their freezer too like we got to utilize everything all hands on deck also my sister has a freezer in her garage I'm gonna have to tell her that part of that freezer is going to need to be repurposed for popper storage because like you know it we're gonna need everyone to pitch in everyone is going to need to pitch in so that we can sustain ourselves until the next season uh all right so now it's time to decorate the tree uh what Christmas movie did you pick I forget well it's on the screen what's the it's called Surviving Christmas oh maybe their families are like awful okay well I'm here for it love Christmas comedies I love Christmas comedies and Christmas romance movies those are my not romance like you know what I mean like romantic not like romantic okay anyway well I just well like you think of like well no you you know like adult romance books like usually you know they're kind of kinky so like I don't mean like that type of Chris that's what I was clarifying is not what I mean I like like Chris I guess are they ROM cops well they're not all funny Christmas romance romance romantic you know what I'm trying to say love stories okay Christmas love stories okay I gotta go bye so since we aren't gonna be here for all of December we are gonna do their little Advent calendars now look how cute these are so got them at Costco ah isn't that so cute so there are eight toys and 16 bags of treats so um Darren really wanted to do it for the pups so I'll let you gift them their their first little Advent calendar should we open the second one let's open up the second one and we can give it to them at the same time perfect all right all right these are so cool they have toys in them too should we do maybe one yeah we have to go off day one okay girl here's day one oh fancy that's a lot of treats for one cup that's cute they're little gingerbreads okay City girl are you ready are you ready they are very very picky with their snacks they usually just prefer meat snacks so I'm interested to see if she likes it very skeptical yeah well usually they'll take it to go and then they'll spit it out on the ground let's see oh she's eating it oh heck yeah shake lay down oh good boy they always take it together yeah they can never just eat it right no you're not eating it outside young man okay did you give him multiple or just one each one please don't please okay or do you remember they taste like gingerbread almost you really just ate my dog yeah I bet your dog you see dog treats I bet my grandpa used to eat uh dog treats he liked them I don't know why and buy like peanut butter dog treats and then put them in the pantry and he'd eat the whole bag even when you eat your dog treats he still ate them like he didn't care what so now all of a sudden you're trying to keep the tradition yeah this is how the dowed men do do dog treats they taste test them let's open some of these up I mean not like here open open but like just take a peek you can open up they're just straight well I need like two hands there oh okay here's what they get on the 24th oh that's cute a little pulled push yeah make sure they don't see it because otherwise they're gonna no I'm gonna press there's no number on it that's just to fill space I don't check behind you oh that's cute another one this is just I bet you it squeaks oh tennis ball okay oh another one okay so first one's green this one's red that's cute and then day six must be a big one it's a reindeer oh that's cute a little plush reindeer that's really cute oh no young lady no no we're not not right now little one you'll have it soon you'll have it in a couple days not just yet oh 12 and 18. no I think this one's for Christmas because there's no day 25. yeah because you have presents there's never a day this is the present day 12. oh hot coco will wait show the little straw oh whoops oh that's cute that's cute okay so there are eight toys so one two three four five six so there's that one oh and then oh it's Santa oh no it's a gingerbread man oh he's cute too no supervision all right I'm opening this one I sincerely don't think that I bet it is something no it's not handsome 16 plus 8 24. that's not anything well that's stupid they should have had this one be like a birthday present or I mean Christmas present so what we've learned from this experience is Darren does not approve of how Advent calendars work it's a countdown to the day and they should have something on Christmas you have your presents exactly clearly you hear them we don't have to buy any so we just finished unwrapping all of our unique ornaments so as you guys can see this is totally representative of all of our travels and experiences together so we love that so we're going to be doing our memory tree here snowball in each hand Take Me Away Christmas day there's joy in the air families near we give thanks for this past year oh nothing compares the love that we share oh what a place a green red light glamoring silver the white you Dazzle us all from Big to small warm laughter and white Smiles my presence stacked in piles I was saying I'm just finished washing it um but it's it's dry thankfully so yeah I'm gonna shower put on my robe hang out relax maybe uh tidy up the house a bit and just wait for everyone else to wake up it's about 8 40. everyone is still sleeping I caught up on emails and then I was working on some descriptions and things like that for some of my videos going up for this one and then I just finished cooking breakfast so I'll show you guys what I made so I have two hash brown patties the vegetarian egg bites from Costco and then my borderline burnt bacon because I like it really crispy and then I served on my kombucha today I'm drinking the bubbly Rose foreign foreign hey guys I'm in Darren's car right now I'm on my way or I'm about to head over to our storage facility for our boat so we um when it's off season we keep our boat in this dry storage facility so yesterday I called and had them bring out the trailer so right now I'm heading to the storage facility picking up the trailer and then going to the marina Darren's going to drive the boat to the marina we're going to load the boat Drive the boat and trailer back to the storage drop off boat and trailer and then drive back home so it's about a two two and a half hour situation so that's how I'm spending the first half of my afternoon so I wanted to pop in let you guys know what's going on and let's get going you guys there is this car in front of me and there is smoke coming from under the hood and I was like yeah that looks like that's gonna explode no thank you so I merged to a different Lane he merges in front of me and I was like hmm it's weird Okay emerge again he merges in front of me I have merged four times and this like smoking car keeps merging in front of me I don't know what is going on but if it's about to explode it is like that driver is so determined to take me down with it and I don't understand why why why I don't know I don't know guys but this drive is becoming rather eventful as I try to dodge this thing can we just acknowledge do you see how well I backed this up right on point so I just hooked up the trailer and honestly this is always like the most stressful part for me because driving with an empty trailer it just like bounces like I have no problem driving with the boat on the trailer because this car tows really well um but empty trailers just the bouncing stresses me out so um I always call my mom and she talks me the duration of my drive just to make me feel better so I already and like calm me down um I already texted my mom to make sure that she would be available when I was like in 15-20 minutes I'm going to be calling you you know the deal empty trailer we're pulling the boat out today and she's like I will make myself available so I'm calling her right now oh and then we'll get going hello hi Mom I love you are you pulling it yeah we will be able to write it off fortnite because that um we got her ready to go we just got back from dropping off the boat it's 1 15 right now so I'm getting a little hungry on the stove right now I'm just steaming some tamales they're the chicken tamales that you get at Costco here I'll show you guys what they look like okay this is the brand Del real and they're pretty good so my favorite tamales are from a local place around here called La Esperanza however the lions are always super long and it's like out of the way so when I was at Costco I saw these and I was like perfect so heating up two of those right now and then on them because they're they just don't have enough sauce honestly for my liking at least so I always use this Pico Pika taco sauce mild there we go wanted to focus it for you guys so I just get this at Raley's and honestly it tastes like the sauce that the chicken's in in the tamales so we were trying to figure out once we take down Halloween do we put up Thanksgiving or do we put up Christmas and what we ended up deciding was that already the Halloween stuff is so minimal in the size space that we have now in our old house it was like a Halloween house like I freaking loved it but uh using that same amount of Decor in such a bigger space um yeah it looks like just a Sprinkle of Halloween and then the amount of Halloween stuff we have like half of that amount of Thanksgiving so honestly it doesn't really make sense so we decided forget Thanksgiving we are going straight to Christmas so for sure taking down Halloween today I'm not sure if we're putting up Christmas today because that is a hole a whole thing there's a lot of Christmas stuff although we don't have the trees so I guess it'd be Christmas minus the trees is that weird that feels weird now look I get that this is not visually attractive but let me tell you it is so good so we just finished Gathering up all of our fall stuff so we're gonna start putting all of these things away so we're gonna go get the buckets and put it all away and then we'll go from there we'll see if we have the energy to put up Christmas everything is all cleaned up and put away and you guys our house feels so empty like without all of the exciting things of course we have our regular pillows we need to put out but oh the house is so sad I'm not sure what to do like I've never not decorated for Christmas and I feel like it just wouldn't feel like Christmas without all of like the Christmas decor but I mean sincerely we would barely be here to enjoy it and it's quite a bit of work so um I don't know I mean it's still the first week of November so I think we're just gonna sit on it for now wait and I don't know maybe next week we'll decorate we'll see great news guys so Darren has finally agreed that we are putting up Christmas today today is November 5th so we're putting up Christmas pretty early but I am so excited so obviously Christmas trees are not for sale yet we always have real trees however once again we're going to be traveling quite a bit throughout November and December so we wouldn't be able to water Christmas trees to begin with so this year we're going to be getting a fake tree I think we're gonna get an eight foot tree just because we have really high ceilings so I think I believe last year we got like a nine or nine and a half foot in here um real Christmas tree but I'm thinking we're gonna do an eight foot and then next year we're gonna go back to our real Christmas trees and then put this one in either the main guest bedroom or downstairs where we usually do usually we've lived here one year um but where we did like the Christmas party and stuff last year where the game room is so I think that's what we're going to do with it okay my memory card ran out of memory deleted some things we're back okay um so yeah and then I think we'd put the Christmas tree just in a different like bedroom or downstairs next year so it doesn't go to waste but I'm really excited so I'm gonna start right now um Darren is being a wonderful little pack mule and is bringing everything up from downstairs upstairs oh you're carrying two at a time well you are and enter is itching away always sounds like a thumping sound um but anywho so yeah I'm gonna start unloading so I'm gonna start unloading these bins and kind of setting things up and then once Darren brings everything upstairs then um he's going to run off to Home Depot to get the tree hunties honey honey do you need help come here come here his little forearm is really itchy yeah yeah I can help you out with that oh yes oh yes he is presenting he loves little massages like right here loving that so things are still coming up but some of my favorite Christmas decor is up here this is Nolan he is my beautiful like four and a half foot Nutcracker we have Peter who is the lovely little reindeer and then and then we have boots and boots are just what they sound like they are Mega Santa boots aren't they amazing and then they have these kind of like Bowl situations so um I used to put like mini candy canes in there however um unless we host Christmas and my little cousins come no one eats them so now I just kind of put like plastic ornaments because sometimes the dogs get in there Sniff and some fall out and I don't want to deal with broken glass so that's what we have um and then I'll show you guys once we start popping everything open these are all of the pillows um I showed you guys in some of my older decorate with me videos so I label everything so big red Christmas blanket Christmas blankets and towels Christmas pillows and I put them all in um big trash bags so that we don't have any issues with moths or Critters they're getting Dusty and you know we can kind of move them around the storage room so I yeah I put them all in bags and label them so when we cleaned up Halloween I did the same thing with all the Halloween bags I repackaged them up Christmas movie playing and we are opening the first bin foreign foreign to enjoy standing up close by the Christmas tree glimmering light I am Right Where I Wanna Be I will be home for a couple of days Wonder Wonder around with you you and me in the cold thought it never go I got you got you stopped running there is no way trying you better lose on your drinking hot wine by the fire I don't care or anything else it's Christmas some kind of love my friend do you like to be here too we're getting Alpha on the Shelf we've got an elf on the counter all right Mr Christmas and it's just you and me tonight I'll spend all this Christmas with you oh it's such a charm got you up in my arm there's nobody at the door you said I wish this will never be over darling it's time for your present come over here now now it's time to get out in the snow hiding in life with you choirs will sing and the joyvilles will ring nobody loves you as much as I do it's a wonderful feeling from floor to the ceiling it is that time of the year drinking hot wine by the fire hear our own we got nothing to fear it's Christmas some kind of love my friend pick up some candy canes unfortunately this entry area is kind of dark but you'll have to take my word for it that this little Forest Area looks really cute and then all the lights down that Darren labored over looks fantastic is it so good everything is looking amazing and so we're down to just these two bags and then these are three of these bins are ornaments and things for the tree and then we have one of kind of miscellaneous Decor that we're gonna wait and see if we're gonna use I put away all the other bins to kind of clear clear the area and then I've been vacuuming to clean up all the things that kind of fell while we were decorating and such we have moved on to a second Christmas movie so first you're watching The Night Before Christmas um with like the medieval night and now we're watching the Christmas Prince the royal baby obviously you've seen all of these but it's tradition we are taking a bit of a break to eat a very very traditional Christmas meal you know so we got wings I got boneless he got bone in we got some fries I always get the same thing I get boneless well done lemon pepper chicken love it and then fries and I think we have cheese sauce in here and then we always get the large Ranch because we plow through Ranch like it's no one's business it's crazy we are we are Ranch addicts and I'm not ashamed um I'm now drinking a North Coast Brewing Company whatever that is um drinking one of these I finished the Sam Adams and right now our beer fridge is random odds and ends we have like one of all these different types of beer so pick this one at random but it's actually pretty good so anywho we are going to enjoy dinner and then set up the tree and then hopefully figure out what to do with the final pieces of Decor that we decided we are using devastating updates they only include that's not for me okay they only included Darren's order you weren't even hungry you only ordered because I was hungry I know so now I mean well that doesn't help me I don't like what you got so now I'm trying to get this figured out doordash hopefully I can get another order sent out here like ASAP delightful update so Wingstop or not Wingstop um doordash apparently I don't know like what usually when you do like missing item it will like show you the your order like the list of all the items and then you click what was missing and then um they just refund you or like credit you however much it was this time they didn't do that they made me talk to an agent however when I talked to the agent she replaced the order not just my portion that was missing so that I could eat with Darren at the same time and everything would be hot and fresh she replaced the entire order I was like I mean we don't need to do that his food's here and she's like I'm doing it for you anyway Okay cool so now Darren's gonna have two meals so he'll have leftovers tomorrow and then they are resending the entire order for free and then they credited me five dollars what I mean I was just expecting a refund and I was gonna reorder I don't know what is going on but they have stepped up the customer service I am here for it in the meantime I have eaten a good portion of the fries half of one of the ranches because once again I am super hungry foreign guys so we are making some good progress on the tree we have put together the bottom two so we just have the top two left I think we just finished like opening all of the I guess branches up we we thought this was gonna be so much less work um I've never done this before um it's a lot of work it's a lot of work um but our new Wingstop order just arrived all right guys let's see what's inside oh no oh no more fries another large Ranch so six more of these one two three four five six oh my gosh okay we have a small box plus another large box like Darren got last time okay Erin's okay so he now has two orders uh usually you get 15. oh yes yes they came through you guys oh no okay I'm gonna spilled them but you guys my food my food has arrived oh my gosh you guys look at this quantity Branch you guys you guys we've all this Ranch and then the one that I was working on with the fries we have 12 12 large ranches this is really aggressive and then yeah a second fry because I pretty much almost plowed through this because I was so hungry I basically ate that entire thing so yeah now Darren has uh he's got wings for tomorrow oh wow look at the little Christmas elf you put together the third one this thing's gonna be nine feet when it's done oh pull down one branch work it and then honestly I think it might be easier to like fluff them up and then attach them Darren was saying this is uh the most Christmas movies he's watched in a long time I've ever watched yeah you're not really too into it usually I watch it oh yeah like Marathon wise yeah you're right usually we'll do like one at a time and then like call it a day but um yeah we are we're setting new records out here guys we are really getting after things so as you can see in the third movie like setting up Christmas is an event it's an event which is why we were really debating if we wanted to do it how surprised that we got as far me too although I I was telling Darren I was like there is no way we're doing ornaments tonight like it is it's only seven okay I was ready to tell you guys it's 10 p.m um it's seven it's seven uh sun has been down so I thought it was a lot later um but anywho uh yeah I think tomorrow he pitched the idea that we could have our coffee or hot cocoa and do the ornament portion of the tree oh well we did that yeah I did I told him I would make him hot cooked well you know the night is young it's only 7 P.M okay I have not not delivered I just haven't delivered yet it's coming good morning um I have my workout outfit on it's really cold so I'm wearing my robe for now coffee is brewing the house just feels so beautiful so peaceful and honestly I'm really happy with it right now Darren and the pups are still sleeping so I'm going to get at least part of a workout in and then decorate the tree so hopefully this will all be done in a few hours but in the meantime I'm really enjoying like everything that we've done so far it looks so good hi hunties Hunter has woken up let's see you guys I mean if this isn't fashion like I don't know what it is um I'm I mean run away right um just finished um today I decided ready to do four miles and then I stopped like halfway through and I did like a 30 minute dance practice session I taught myself one of the other dances I need to know for that wedding so now I have two memorized um I practiced it to Perfection honestly that one was a lot easier than the other one a lot slower and like more simple steps so I feel good about that someone's calling me spam as usual so oh yeah now I'm gonna go upstairs shower get ready and then um I guess it's time to put the ornaments on the tree hey guys so showered got dressed and ready to set up the ornaments on the Christmas tree so Darren is um selecting a Christmas movie right now I made my usual breakfast you know the Costco egg bites um hash brown patties and some Costco bacon however um one of like my longest friends Kersey she sent me a photo of the jalapeno poppers at Costco right and I was like oh girl you best believe I already secured some and then you know what she tells me and she told me some big news devastating news honestly um but she was like if you zoom in on the price tag you'll see there's a little star at the top apparently Costco puts that little star at the Top If items are not everyday items so whether it's like they just bought like one or two shipments of it you know it's like a temporary thing like like that or like a seasonal thing pretty much just means that like it's not an everyday item which means that after all of these months of waiting for my jalapeno poppers now they're back they must only be here for winter so they once again like I never talked about this a million times but like really it's so important to me so important to me guys um so the jalapeno poppers sold out the weekend before Super Bowl and they've been gone since so I'm assuming I guess they get them like mid-october through like their last shipment I'm assuming comes in in like January or early February and then they're done for the season so pretty much mid-January um Jared and I were strategizing we're going to have to it's going to be very important that we go to Costco and I think we buy like a dozen boxes and the boxes are you know they're they're pretty big so we're gonna have to fill this freezer the downstairs freezer and then I haven't told my parents yet but they spend most of winter in Mexico which means they're not using their freezers so I'm going to use their freezer too like we got to utilize everything all hands on deck also my sister has a freezer in her garage I'm gonna have to tell her that part of that freezer is going to need to be repurposed for popper storage because like you know it we're gonna need everyone to pitch in everyone is going to need to pitch in so that we can sustain ourselves until the next season uh all right so now it's time to decorate the tree uh what Christmas movie did you pick I forget well it's on the screen what's the it's called Surviving Christmas oh maybe their families are like awful okay well I'm here for it love Christmas comedies I love Christmas comedies and Christmas romance movies those are my not romance like you know what I mean like romantic not like romantic okay anyway well I just well like you think of like well no you you know like adult romance books like usually you know they're kind of kinky so like I don't mean like that type of Chris that's what I was clarifying is not what I mean I like like Chris I guess are they ROM cops well they're not all funny Christmas romance romance romantic you know what I'm trying to say love stories okay Christmas love stories okay I gotta go bye so since we aren't gonna be here for all of December we are gonna do their little Advent calendars now look how cute these are so got them at Costco ah isn't that so cute so there are eight toys and 16 bags of treats so um Darren really wanted to do it for the pups so I'll let you gift them their their first little Advent calendar should we open the second one let's open up the second one and we can give it to them at the same time perfect all right all right these are so cool they have toys in them too should we do maybe one yeah we have to go off day one okay girl here's day one oh fancy that's a lot of treats for one cup that's cute they're little gingerbreads okay City girl are you ready are you ready they are very very picky with their snacks they usually just prefer meat snacks so I'm interested to see if she likes it very skeptical yeah well usually they'll take it to go and then they'll spit it out on the ground let's see oh she's eating it oh heck yeah shake lay down oh good boy they always take it together yeah they can never just eat it right no you're not eating it outside young man okay did you give him multiple or just one each one please don't please okay or do you remember they taste like gingerbread almost you really just ate my dog yeah I bet your dog you see dog treats I bet my grandpa used to eat uh dog treats he liked them I don't know why and buy like peanut butter dog treats and then put them in the pantry and he'd eat the whole bag even when you eat your dog treats he still ate them like he didn't care what so now all of a sudden you're trying to keep the tradition yeah this is how the dowed men do do dog treats they taste test them let's open some of these up I mean not like here open open but like just take a peek you can open up they're just straight well I need like two hands there oh okay here's what they get on the 24th oh that's cute a little pulled push yeah make sure they don't see it because otherwise they're gonna no I'm gonna press there's no number on it that's just to fill space I don't check behind you oh that's cute another one this is just I bet you it squeaks oh tennis ball okay oh another one okay so first one's green this one's red that's cute and then day six must be a big one it's a reindeer oh that's cute this one I sincerely don't think that I bet it is something no it's not handsome 16 plus 8 24. that's not anything well that's stupid they should have had this one be like a birthday present or I mean Christmas present so what we've learned from this experience is Darren does not approve of how Advent calendars work it's a countdown to the day and they should have something on Christmas you have your presents exactly clearly you hear them we don't have to buy any so we just finished unwrapping all of our unique ornaments so as you guys can see this is totally representative of all of our travels and experiences together so we love that so we're going to be doing our memory tree here snowball in each hand Take Me Away Christmas day there's joy in the air families near we give thanks
