The New Porsche GT3 Touring: A Classic Configuration with Modern Twists
It's totally different from our previous models we also have a new color this Oak green Neo which I think is just lovely look at it with the silver window trim it's just like a classic 911 but with that wonderful 4 L uh and in this case a manual gearbox so this is more of a classic configuration I would say so we also have a before we get in a new wheel design uh saves 1.5 kilos all around uh and you have those little holes in there these wi spokes new cup 2 tires you might think it's a touring um it also should perform in bad weather I was a bit hesitant as well when I saw the cup twos but basically theyve redesigned the whole cup 2 tire and it's a street Tire now also it used to be like a a track tire that you could also drive on the road but now it really is a street tire and a track tire so again it you know the bandwidth is a lot broader that's sort of the main theme with the car.
Let's have a look inside in here we find a new bucket seat that folds forward of course because we now have a rear bench so you have to uh get in there as a kid it really is made for kids so don't expect to be going to the cod daour with four adults uh it's really to for to go for a nice weekend drive with your kids I think it's really really great I've been asking my Porsche dealer I think it was with the 991.2 like can I get a rear bench fitted aftermarket in a GT3 no you cannot because of homologation reasons and you would not be insured but now I would be so for me this is great news.
So, what's also new is that you can remove the headrest and that means that you can wear a helmet inside which is a little trick we saw with the new BMW M3 as well also good news we still have a key so they want the GT cars to be as analog as possible and that means they don't like starter buttons I don't either so I really really like that. So yeah this is a lot more comfortable than the old you know bucket seat they offered in the GT 3 this is this is so much better the support is nicer you get like very nice bolstering uh on your rib level I would say so.
What's also new is a lightweight package so it's sort of a yock package but on a GT3 touring they decided to call it something different uh and that means you also get forged magnesium Wheels which is on the GT3 right here with the weak and it saves over 10 kilos of unsprayed weight now that does a lot with a car in a dynamic sense um you also get a different gear lever inside which is a bit shorter and it's from the 911 St so that's also pretty special uh what they also did is add this little gurn flap and this generates down Force without the spoiler going up so they didn't really like the look of the spoiler going up which I completely agree. This is much more of a classic touring line you have right now and if if it goes up it's not really all that nice so this is a nice addition to have it still as a touring really classy but you do have a little bit of down Force but if you're looking for a bit more of an extreme GT3 we have the normal one if you can call it that with the wiar package.
So, what they also did is add carbon fiber components throughout the car so that means another Savings of over 10 kilos of unsprung weight this is really made for people who enjoy a GT3 on track so this really is the track oriented GT3 and that is the more Street oriented GT3. Let's uh do a little quick sound check with the new GT3 yeah that that that's just awesome so the difference in between the pdk and the six-speed manual is only 20 kilos which I thought was amazing great accomplishment uh 0200 3.4 seconds for the pdk 3.9 for the manual gearbox but if you want to be the fastest you should go for the manual because it's 313 km an hour and this is only 311 so the other great news is with the pdk gearbox you still get a gear lever so if you get into an over steery situation you always know that you have that gear lever to trust I think it's just lovely that we still have the 4 L we now get a rear bench those are the two things you should really appreciate and I really look forward to driving these cars thank you

the wisar package yes you can now get a weak package on your GT3 and I have some other great news there is a GT3 touring as well with a rear bench so very good news to all the kids in the world yes so let's start with even greater news the GT3 still has the 4 liter because they just explained to me that when they start development on the 92.2 GT3 they were not expecting to continue with the 4 liter because of homologation reasons and because of emissions of course but you know they fiddled with the engine with the exhaust with catalytic converter OPF filters and they they they did it they did it they got the 4 L 9,000 RPM 510 horsepower machine in here which is for me great great news what they also did is change all kinds of stuff we cannot see at the moment so the complete underbody has been redesigned the dampers everything to make the car more versatile so it's more comfortable but in a dynamic sense it's also so way more capable which you know is a great accomplishment you don't see it if you would do a deep dive underneath the car you would see that it's totally different we also have a new color this Oak green Neo which I think is just lovely look at it with the silver
