**The Great Game Room Experiment**
Hey everyone, I'm back with another video, and this time I'm excited to share my journey as I build out my game room. If you guys want a video like that, let me know - I have a link in the comments or a piece of software that I just kick it up and tell it what I want on here, and it internet's it right to the machine plugged in.
As I'm building out my game room, I've been noticing that all the consoles I've got (Sega, Nintendo, NeoGeo, Dreamcast) share something in common. Even the knockoffs have a fault - they're not HDMI capable. Now, you can get these in HDMI, but for the value for money, it's just not worth it.
I've found that the main hitters - the customs and the originals - all share the same power adapter, including the Chinese ones. They all share the same power system, so you only need one power brick plugged in, not six or eight of them. That's a brilliant design, thank you guys for sticking with the same USB mini connection.
As I'm setting up my game room, I've realized that these consoles are simple to hook up - just plug in the power adapter and connect via USB mini. However, if you're randomly grabbing cables, make sure you're in the right setup or bad things can happen. You don't want to be pulling cables out like that and risk wrecking your JAC.
In my case, I've got a mod console where I can put whatever I want on it. Everything - whether it's my mod raspberry pi units or original units - they're all using the same power connector. That's a great tip of the day for you guys who are building out their game rooms like me.
Now, let's talk about HDMI cables. I've got a distribution hdmi box that can do four or five, and my amp can do five, plus a power exploder that can do another three. That's one solution to cutting back on cable clutter in your game room.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enoh wow so many boxes that goes playing like this minecraft n' oh whoa hey everybody out there and uh you do guys today is the last game hunter just wants to show us some of his classic mini consoles over a little bit of time I've tested out the originals knock offs or whatever and they've accumulated quite a few of them in fact there's something even put out because they're just repetitive because they're defective and just that whatever so I'd like to show you what I got hey guys were back and let's get these boxes over lately come on place of boxes anymore okay so what we got here so two of these units are complete knock-offs that is the famicom look-alike which you guys have seen me test and finally after three or four of them I got one that actually worked but kind of cool to have all the same and just some really weird versions of the games on it and then it shares the same thing with its other shelf counterpart shall we say most of the games are pretty much the same I think this had a few more games than this one did but overall the same idea some weird different versions of and Radley buttons of the other games like the mario and so on and so forth then we have the original systems like the SNES classic that everybody's well aware up the NES classic our wonderful PlayStation classic and have some really cool stuff coming up for a video for this it's a nice add-on and the commodore c64 mini classic i have two other units show and one of them is this genesis you guys are probably looking at this going what a Genesis Classic yeah it's right on the first one to get one second and meat we're hooked up nope I made this one if you guys I don't know if everybody remembers but a while back there was a company selling nerd bar nerd blog and they went bankrupt and I was buying these shells off them they are actual USB Hut's so I would rewire it on the inside and then wire it into a Raspberry Pi 3 I think in this case this one was a very pi/2 plus so this is actually a now modified console as you can see I did the HDMI audio power everything's all been cut as much as professional as I could do but it looks great and I had a lot of fun doing it the Tesla's basic we're still waiting for against this class you know was even on the table when I made this so I was really excited about that and then the next thing I made I had to play around with the next pie now in that pie of course is a beautiful case that has everything and is supported for the Raspberry Pi I've even put a fan cooling system everything in this day nice things about it are you've got your HDMI of course your audio or your audio or video out if you go an analog you have a TF card slot right here so it's accessible and then of course you have network Wi-Fi cuz I'm using the PI 3 plus and some more USBs for game pads this is probably the most beautiful piece in all of this except for my personal Genesis now the Genesis I'm going to redo this once with all Sega games originally I just did it just to play games that's gonna be redone for Sega and this has been completely done for Nintendo so it's kind of cool I have a new program maybe you wanted to have one video if you guys want a video like that let me know I have a link in a video or a piece of software that I just basically kick it up and I tell it what I want on here and it Internet's it right to the machine plugged in so if I want to Tendo nothing about 164 and 64 I want whatever whatever I want goes on this machine NeoGeo Dreamcast whatever it is that's out there and I can actually handpick what I want on it that is beautiful so what do they all have in common and that's one of the things I wanted to do with this video because you guys know I'm building my game room I sent out some spoiler photos on some LED lighting and stuff and which could be right there and guys they all share even the knockoff shares it so if you're taking your time you nice little cabinet you want to set these things up nicely which is what I would like to do so they're all nice and maybe a light up system whatever the case may be whatever your money allows you to do but they all share one thing almost - so the knockoffs have a fault the knockoffs are ones that have are not HDMI now you can get these in HDMI but for the value for money it is not worth it and I'll tell you why they're the same machine just with an HDMI you're paying almost twice the price I wouldn't do it not for the knockoff this thing is fun to set up once in a while and have fun in my opinion let's pretend these guys don't exist we're not hooking them up in the game room unless we do a quick hookup on the front of the TV or something like that so now we're back to the main hitters the customs and the originals what do they share well they all share the same power adapter including the Chinese ones they all share the same power system so you only need one power brick plugged in not six or eight of them one brilliant thank you guys for all sticking with the same USB mini connection so guys that's one thing that I wanted to say for sure you're building your game room and you have a bunch of minis like I do because they're cool and they're fun and they just let's face it they look awesome awesome do you want to show them off and you want to put them on something where you want to hide them in a case or whatever but do you want them all hooked up no you hook up the one you're going to play these things are simple to hook up right so you have one power adapter plug it in oh and then you have this one connection this one connection it's them all so that being said you know just randomly grab a cup make sure you're in the right setup or bad things can happen but there you go no I get if you don't want to be pulling it and pulling that pulling and pulling out like that and you want to wreck your JAC that can happen but if you're careful that won't happen and let's be honest you don't play one console most of the time more than anything else and in my case it would probably be like a mod console because I can put whatever I want on it and there we go so everything whether it be my mod raspberry pi units or original units they're all using the same power connector so there's a little tip of the day for you guys you're building your game room as I am still building mine trying to figure out how can I do this what about having 50 HDMI cables going everywhere well there's one thing that helps cut back on my splitting system and my distribution hdmi box does my distribution can do i think four or five my amp can do five and then i have a power exploder that can do another three oh my god I don't even want to call that up so solution one each you might coming up to these guys and whatever else that you want to plug in and one power so guys that is your tip of the day from the lot game hunter I hope you enjoyed my brain work and game overoh wow so many boxes that goes playing like this minecraft n' oh whoa hey everybody out there and uh you do guys today is the last game hunter just wants to show us some of his classic mini
