Gaming with Intel ARC Integrated Graphics... (Ft. AtomMan X7 Ti)
The Power of Min Forum: A Look at Integrated Graphics Performance
So, a little low, but if I recall um, this actually happened when I got killed by another player as we sort of went into the kill screen the frame rate just dipped ever so slightly and that's probably responsible for that percentage figure because overall it felt very smooth. Now, this was a bit daring Boulders Gate 3 didn't think this was going to run with at least 30 FPS but with the help of FSR 2.2 set to balanced and the low preset we actually saw 45 of course, this being Border's Gate you may still see a few little dips and drops in and around the city here I don't think it really matters in a game like this this isn't a fast-paced first person action shoot or anything like that you know so I don't think the occasional dip or drop really matters it doesn't affect the game play for me anyway, uh which is why I don't think those percentage lows were that much of a big deal. I was just surprised to see a 45 FPS average and with FSR set to balanced mode it's still looks good also this doesn't have an option for xss I don't think, um otherwise I would have used it but with this system I found that xsss and FSR tend to perform quite closely one such example was Cyberpunk 2077 where I used xcss quality if IID have used FSR and set that to Quality it would have run with a very similar frame rate 42.43 FPS, 43 was the average here, the 1% low was 28 and the 0.1% low was 8 so definitely a playable experience and the game still looks pretty decent even with the lowest in-game settings.
The Art of Ray Tracing
Now, let's take a look at the art graphics here also support ray tracing so I just had to try this out of course I switched to FSR 2.1 here so that we could choose the ultra performance option I enabled RT low I didn't go with the RT Ultra preset that would have uh just sort of grinded things to a halt, I think but at 37 FPS with the ultra performance option the RT low preset we can still see some of those RT effects in action looking into puddles and stuff does provide us with some pretty good looking Reflections. The percentage low did suffer a bit more as well but a plus 30 FPS average I would deem playable if you don't mind the blurry mess that is ultra performance FSR mode still for integrated Graphics it's always impressive to see Ray tracing on Red Dead Redemption 2.
Fortnite Performance
Up next, we have Fortnite 108p with a low preset, 100% 3D res and TAA. I actually started off with performance mode uh and everything else set to its absolute lowest and we saw well over 100, 150 FPS so I jump back into the game in dx12 mode which lowered the amount of stutter and we still saw over 60 frames per second, 66 to be precise. I'd actually recommend sticking to Performance or dx11 uh for a slightly higher average frame rate but 66 FPS then with a 1% low of 48 and a 0.1% low of 17 I do tend to see a few dips and drops in terms of the 0.1% low figure in Fortnite but overall a decent experience.
Conclusion
These mini machines do cater to a completely different audience that's for sure, and I do have to mention that you could probably build something more capable for less money if you were putting together a standard desktop gaming PC of course you could but the main appeal to me for these systems is just how much power Min Forum can squeeze out of a tiny little box like this. You know five or six years ago you never would have imagined running AAA titles on integrated graphics and it's always fascinating to see uh what Min Forum come up with next and how they utilize the power found in these latest CPUs that's all for this one, I hope to have an Oculus EGPU video soon and perhaps we'll run a few comparisons with a discret graphics cards too but until then thank you very much for watching let me know what you think down below and uh hopefully I'll see all of you in the next one.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone and welcome to another video now we've tested Intel Arc desktop Graphics a handful of times but today thanks to the atom man x70 we'll be seeing how the mobile igpu holds up so atam man is min forum's new high-end brand and the X7 TI features an Intel Ultra 9 185h processor with 16 cores and 22 threads we have six performance cores eight efficient cores and two low power efficient cores you can buy this unit bare bone and equip it with up to 96 gigs of 5600 MHz dual Channel ddr5 and two m.2 pcie 4.0 ssds totaling 4 terabytes or from Factory with 32 gigs of memory and a 1 tbte drive like this one let's take a look around the atom man x7i before getting into some gameplay benchmarks I've come to expect plenty of ports and connectivity with these mini machines and this one is no exception we have HDMI 2.1 display port 2.0 USB 3.2 USB 4 dual 5G ethernet ports an SD card slot 3.5 mm Jack 1080p camera with Windows hello support and an ocul link port for external GPU connectivity which we'll be testing in another video the most standout feature to me is the built-in 4in touch display which allows us to monitor usage and thermals without the need for third party software just turn the PC on and the stats are there we can also choose between performance modes here including energy saving balanced and performance the layout can also be customized and system volume can be adjusted too for me having the CPU GPU and SSD temps visible at all times was the best part and I often found myself giving the display a quick glance during gaming tests speaking of which that's the main focus of this channel of course so we must see how the ataman X7 TI does here are the CPU and GPU specs as I said before we've tested desktop Arc cards and Intel Iris XE Graphics but I'm looking forward to seeing what this igpu can do after all we have no shortage of RAM and plenty of CPU power today allowing the graphics to really stretch their legs with that I put the PC into performance mode with a couple of TAPS and then proceeded to jump into 10 titles now as I said before I hope to make an external GPU video at some point we've dabbled in that before as well but it has been a while and we've certainly not tested oculink before for now though we are focusing on the integrated Graphics which I think is the most interesting part of these systems because it's always amazing how much power uh companies like Min Forum can squeeze out of a tiny box that sits a top your desk now CS2 is the first game today I tested most of the games at 1080p some needed help from FSR or xcss but CS2 a native 1080p with a low preset and FSR off hit4 FPS the 1% low was 79 and the. 1% low was 30 I'll have to compare this to 780m Graphics from AMD at some point as well to see how those two face off against each other The Witcher 3 up next starting with a native resolution of 1080p but enabling xss quality mode here with medium preset ssao and Screen space Reflections set to low this gave us 50 FPS I think it's important not to go into any of these expecting 60 I didn't really Target that I just enabled xss or FSR where I felt it necessary to maybe up the consistency a little bit 50 FPS here was the average with a 1% low of 38 and a. 1% low figure of 16 Skyrim special edition up next 1080p with preset I actually removed the frame rate cap using an ini file tweak here but I kept things at the high preset used TAA and it ended up not actually hitting 60 58 was the average this felt really nice actually really nice to play really consistent High preset I thought was a bit of a stretch but as you can see here the percentile lows were also pretty good Skyrim special edition in my opinion still looks really nice as well and it's good to see it running on these Intel Arc Mobile Graphics even when combat starts to heat up or I pick on random NPCs I should say uh the frame rate remains pretty steady too Fallout 4 again I removed the FPS cap for this one this is the next gen update but it seems as though uh the inii file tweaks are working again anyway 108p with a medium preset the frame rate cap removed and TAA allowed us to hit 70 FPS with nothing but the integrated Graphics so really surprising performance here I did think about sticking with low but I thought let's push the boat out a little bit here and I'm glad I did the average was 70 the 1% low was 55 and the 0. 1% low was 42 so fairly consistent overall not too many dips and drops now GTA 5 can be a little hit or miss with integrated Graphics sometimes it can exhibit a few issues and it was certainly no exception here I've had trouble with AMD integrated Graphics as well I could have turned things up I actually set everything else apart from textures to normal textures were set to high the detail sliders were set halfway and these soft Shadows were enabled 99 was a good average but if you look at those percentile lows 40 and 16 yeah it's clear that there were a few problems with consistency as I said before though that's not exclusive to the arc graphics here maybe it's a Windows 11 thing um but yeah it tends to be when I'm using integrated Graphics that we see a few dips and drops I can't complain too much though it's still an impressive result I think especially at Native 1080p with high textures enabled too Apex Legends up next high textures everything else sets their respective lowest options tsaa as well for an average of 91 FPS the art Graphics are actually quite surprising I had no idea what to expect going into this um usually when I'm testing AMD integrated Graphics I can sort of gauge what I'm going to see but here completely blind going into it really didn't know what I'd see and overall I'm pretty impressed the one % low was 63 and the 0.1% low was 16 so a little low but if I recall um this actually happened when I got killed by another player as we sort of went into the kill screen the frame rate just dipped ever so slightly and that's probably responsible for that percental figure because overall it felt very smooth now this was a bit daring Boulders Gate 3 didn't think this was going to run with pretty happy and we more than hit that Target here in fact our 1% low was still above 30 FPS with 34 overall the 0.1% low was 18 so the occasional dip and drop in and around busier areas but for the
