Don't believe the lies. The RTX 3060 Ti is NOT here!

**The Reality of Graphics Card Launches**

I firmly believe that the 3070 is a very capable card that is probably around 2080 Super performance easily, before the crazy GPU shortage that caused prices everywhere to skyrocket. In my testing just now, I found that the 3070 which again is on par with a 2080 Ti was only about 11 or 12 faster than the 360 Ti, so that tells me that this is a very capable card that is probably around 2080 Super performance easily before the crazy GPU shortage.

**The Price of Performance**

If you need a new graphics card right now and were looking at the 360 Ti, you're going well that's really good performance for a low cost. I have about 400 to spend on a graphics card what can I buy instead? Since this is nowhere to be found, your options are pretty limited. I was looking on Newegg and Amazon and all the RTX 2070 Super that I could find which again aren't even going to be as fast as this card are going for way more than 400 on average.

**The Second-Hand Market**

You could try looking for an RX 5700 XT which again is not going to be as fast as a 2080 Super or 360 Ti but those prices seem to be a bit more reasonable. However, you're gonna be spending more for less performance than you would if this card was available. If you're really trying to find the best bang for the buck for a graphics card right now, I think the best option is to look at the second-hand market and do a lot of research.

**The Scalpers**

There not for one of these cards because any of these cards on the second hand market on eBay or Craigslist or whatever are going to be inflated like double maybe even triple the price. Do not encourage the scalpers, I know it might be tempting you might have deep pockets and be willing to pull the trigger on one but I would advise not to do it because it just encourages and enables scalpers to continue doing what they're doing and turning your profit by the rest of us over.

**The Future of Graphics Cards**

So don't do it instead look for something like an RTX 2080 Super or 2070 Super if you can if you can find a reasonably priced option that's not a total ripoff then go for it because who knows how much longer it's going to be before these babies come back in stock. I think we're looking at tail end of Q1 maybe Q2 of 2021 until we see these cards become more widely available at prices that aren't absolutely ludicrous.

**The Frustration**

Which makes me very sad and a little frustrated in the meantime if you guys want to check out a PC parts list that doesn't include any of the new hardware that's impossible to find right now, you can check out the video I did recently for Black Friday some of the deals there were Black Friday specific but the PC parts list itself is not it's still super relevant and again includes a bunch of parts that you can actually buy right now.

**The Worn-Out Feeling**

To be honest though guys, I'm getting pretty worn out from making all of these paper launch videos, uh for products that you guys can't even buy. It's it's bumming me out and it's uh it's exhausting because they've all just been back to back on repeat and there's no hope in sight. It's not like stock is getting better or it's not even like we're seeing more stock come in from some of the earlier GPUs that were launched.

**The Audience**

I guess I'm also curious to know where you guys are at, where you guys stand in all this but the holiday season this is like shopping season everyone's buying new hardware usually at this time of year what are you guys actually doing? Are you holding on to the hardware that you have right now until all that new stuff becomes available finally or are you planning to buy older hardware that's been out for a while now but is still maybe an upgrade from what you're working with currently. Either way, let me know what your game plan is down below.

**The Support**

What you think about all this and maybe it'll help me help give me ideas for future content so that I'm not just shoving new impossible-defined GPUs in your face for the next five videos but that's all for now guys. Thank you for watching, toss a like on it if you enjoyed not the product or these crappy launches that keep happening but if you uh would like to support me and the channel and what we do here at bitwit, it helps a lot. I appreciate it.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyou think i can hit that rtx 360 ti from here let's find out three two one oh not even close well you know what that wasn't even the worst paper launch we've seen this year okay yeah another another paper launch i'm sorry guys i'm sorry to do this to you i'm sorry to show you new hardware that isn't readily available so far we've got i think one two three four five this is the sixth new graphics card that's been released between amd and nvidia in the last couple months and has not been available or widely available and you know it's one of the the many cards now that have been snatched up by a number of bots in mass quantities and resold on the secondhand market for crazy inflated prices i mean the whole the whole gpu market right now is just a royal show so it kind of it steals some of it steals a lot of the thunder away from these otherwise exciting products you know and spoiler the rtx 360 ti here that we're going to be talking about today is a fantastic car but the fact that most of you will not be able to buy one for the foreseeable future is a major bummer it's a buzz kill you know i just made a fabulous like world-class steak dinner but none of you can eat it definitely puts a damper on things that being said there's bound to be that one percent of you i don't know maybe maybe point zero one percent of you at this point that actually is able to get your hands on one of these cards on any of these cards at some point so this video is for you because you guys deserve to know the data you deserve to know what these cards are capable of even if most people aren't able to get their hands on them and for the rest of you when when these cards do become available whenever that might be you can always look back on this video and the the reviews of many other creators so that you can make an informed purchasing decision when the time comes for now let us just talk about this card this is of course the rtx 3060 ti as i mentioned and as you can see it looks almost exactly the same as the rtx 3070 except that it is silver instead of this kind of gunmetal grayish bronze whatever whatever color this is i don't know have we decided on an actual color for it i don't know but there's a difference exactly the same body same spec in terms of dimensions which means it is a little bit shorter than the rtx 3080. notably shorter than the 3080 should fit in a wide variety of cases it is a two slot card right on the money two slots so pretty friendly for small form factor builds i would think it's got the same dual fan design again same as the 30-70 with uh the fan on the right having the pass-through heat sink so it's going to be exhausting air straight up out of the car you've also got a lot of ventilation at the back triple displayport 1.4 a and a single hdmi 2.0 b there's the matte black heatsink that goes across the entire card a 12 pin power connector this has a tgp or thermal graphics power of 200 watts which means it'll require about 200 watts from your power supply just for the cart alone we have a nice back plate that says 3060 ti right there and yeah everything else is pretty familiar i don't need to go into too much further detail i do like the silver color i think it's a nice easy way to differentiate it right off the bat at a glance from the 30 70. it still looks really nice and is color neutral so it should still fit a variety of builds color scheme wise on paper it's got 4864 cuda cores it boosts up to 1665 megahertz and it has 8 gigs of gddr6 memory on a 256 bit bus the pricing for this guy comes in at 399 us dollars so let's stack these up here we've got the 30 i'm sorry 360 ti for 3.99 30 70 for 4.99 then we have the radeon rx 6800 doing this in order of cheapest most expensive for 579 dollars then we have the radeon rx 6800 xt at 650 and then finally the rtx 3080 at 699 usd in the benchmark slides i've also listed these cards on the y-axis in order of uh most expensive to least expensive so you'll see the 3080 at the top and the 360 ti at the bottom so just bear in mind as you're watching those slides that they're ranked by price so you can easily see kind of where the performance should be you know ideally given the respective price tags let me give you a quick tour of the test bed that we're using for all five cards using an amd ryzen 9 5950x 16 core 32 thread chip being cooled by a pure loop ao 280 millimeter model from uh be quiet we've got 16 gigs of g skill trident z ddr4 at 3600 speed on top of an aorus x570 master motherboard we're booting off of an nvme pcie gen 3 m.2 drive as well and that's pretty much it i ran the you know the typical gamut of benchmarks in our usual suite including a variety of tests from 3dmark as well as six different game titles all aaa maxed out settings across the board both at 2560x1440 and 3840 by 2160. i know you can't buy any of this crap but for what it's worth here are the benchmarks so okay so after i ran those tests i created a sort of comparison graph where we can take a look at the overall performance of each of these cards and also how they stack up against the rtx 3060 ti in terms of performance as well as price uh and so we have like a frames per dollar readout there as well so starting with the 360 ti it rendered 492 frames that was across all six of our game titles and you can see i put 100 for the performance gain as well as the price difference because this is the gpu that we're comparing all the other ones against and it has a really good frame per dollar frames per dollar of 1.23 it's actually the highest out of every card tested at either resolution at 1440p or 2160p so right out of the gate the 3060 ti is a pretty awesome value the rtx 3070 for 100 more rendered 551 frames so it actually performed about 12 percent better on average than the 360 ti but it cost 25 more giving it a frames per dollar of 1.1 which isn't actually too far off from the 360 ti and as we know the 30 70 is a tremendous value as well in my testing the rx 6800 performed about nine percent better on average than the rtx 3060 ti but costs a whopping 45 more so it got a pretty low frames per dollar in comparison of just 0.92 like i said in my previous review the rx 6800 is a really capable gpu it's super fast i think it's just being held back by its hefty price tag the rx 6800 xt however outperforms the rtx 3060 ti by a landslide as you might expect given the pricing but it outperformed it by 24 and cost 63 more giving us a frames per dollar of 0.94 which is actually slightly higher or better value than the rx 6800 priced at 579 so even though it's a more expensive and more premium top-tier gpu the 6800 xt is technically technically has slightly better bang for the buck than its smaller rx 6800 which is not typically something you see usually as you scale up with the top-tier high-end cards that law of diminishing returns kicks in and you don't see quite as many dividends paying off for the amount of money that you're spending that's because the people who are buying these cards for 700 plus dollars aren't really interested in getting a good value or a bargain they're just looking for the most raw performance on the highest frame rate possible whatever the cost and finally we have the rtx 3080 with an msrp of 699 which rendered 659 frames giving us a 34 performance uplift over the rtx 3060 ti it costs 75 percent more than that card giving us a frames per dollar or fpd of 0.94 which is exactly identical to the rx 6800 xt's value just on a slightly faster and more expensive scale when it comes to 4k the rtx 3060 ti rendered 324 frames which if you divide that by the six game titles we tested that's under 60 fps it's like in the 50s it's like 54 56 frames per second on average which indicates that the 360 ti might not be the ideal choice for 4k gaming but for 1440p it's fantastic at 4k though you can see the frames per dollar of the card dropped significantly down to 0.81 compared to the 1.23 that it saw at 1440p in comparison the rtx 3070 was 11 faster on average and with that 25 price hike we're seeing a frames per dollar of 0.72 the rx 6800 outperformed the rtx 360 ti here by 13 and with that 45 price hike it did score the lowest frames per dollar of the day at just 0.63 the rx 6800 xt really has some room to stretch its legs here at 4k and outperforms the rtx 3060 ti by 35 and while it costs 63 more that gives us a frames per dollar of 0.67 which is still higher than the rx 6800 and once again we see the rtx 3080 crushing the 3060 ti with a whopping 42 uplift in performance and with a 75 price hike we're seeing a frames per dollar of 0.67 so let's jump into hypothetical land for a minute shall we and just pretend that we live in a world where all of these cards are readily available you can purchase them for a reasonable price after having spent a lot of time with these cards now over the last few weeks this is sort of how i break things down at least for me this is how i see it the two high-end cards that are roughly 700 bucks here rtx 3080 and rx 6800 xt buy these if you want really high refresh rates and high fps at 1440p or if you're gonna be gaming at 4k anything less demanding than that you're probably not going to need this much power in your system and you will you definitely won't need to spend this much money and of course there's also you know niche situations where maybe you have a triple 1080p display or triple 1440p display or multiple ultrawides and stuff like that whatever the case may be if you're trying to push a high number of pixels at high refresh rates and money isn't really an object and you just want raw performance these are the cards to go with now if you want to scale down to just 1440p gaming you don't want anything crazy you don't want to break the bank then the rtx 3070 is an excellent choice that is going to perform on par with an rtx 2080 ti for 5.99 this card is sort of like the odd man out the rx 6800 i don't know really what to do with it or where to place it because it's it's around the same performance of an rtx 3070 but it costs 80 more and for that price hike i just find it a little hard to justify so i'm not exactly sure where this fits in and finally if you want high refresh rates at 1080p or if you just want to go well above 60 fps on average at 1440p the rtx 360 ti is an excellent value at just 399 that's 100 cheaper than the already super fast 3070 and amd was i'm sorry nvidia was claiming that the 360 ti is roughly the same performance or faster than an rtx 2080 super and while i didn't test any of these cards against the 2080 super today i firmly believe that because in my testing just now i found that the 3070 crazy gpu shortage that caused prices everywhere to skyrocket the rtx 2080 super was going for around 600 bucks if i remember correctly so this is obviously a lot cheaper than that for around the same performance it's a great bargain again in hypothetical land where you can buy one since we're not in hypothetical land and we live in reality what do you do what do you do if you need a new graphics card right now and you were looking at the 360 ti you're going well that's really good performance for a low cost i have about 400 to spend on a graphics card what can i buy instead since this is looking at the 360 ti you're going well that's really good performance for a low cost i have about 400 to spend on a graphics card what can i buy instead since this is nowhere to be found well your options are pretty limited i was looking on newegg and amazon and all the rtx 2070 supers that i could find which again aren't even going to be as fast as this card are going for way more than 400 on average you could try looking for an rx 5700 xt which again is not going to be as fast as a 2080 super or 360 ti but those prices seem to be a bit more reasonable you can find one for around 450 again you're gonna be spending more for less performance than you would if this card was available if you're really trying to find the best bang for the buck for a graphics card right now i think the best option is to look at the second hand market and do a lot of research there not for one of these cards because any of these cards on the second hand market on ebay or craigslist or whatever are going to be inflated like double maybe even triple the price do not encourage the scalpers i know it might be tempting you might have deep pockets and be willing to pull the trigger on one i would advise not to do it because it just encourages and enables scalpers to continue doing what they're doing and turning your profit by the rest of us over so don't do it instead look for something like an rtx 2080 super or 2070 super if you can if you can find a reasonably priced option that's not a total ripoff then go for it because who knows how much longer it's going to be before these babies come back in stock it could be a long while guys i'm going to estimate months honestly i think we're looking at tail end of q1 maybe q2 of 2021 until we see these cards become more widely available at prices that aren't absolutely ludicrous which makes me very sad and a little frustrated in the meantime if you guys want to check out a pc parts list that doesn't include any of the new hardware that's impossible to find right now you can check out the video i did recently for black friday some of the deals there were black friday specific but the pc parts list itself is not it's still super relevant and again includes a bunch of parts that you can actually buy right now to be honest though guys i'm getting pretty worn out from making all of these paper launch videos uh for products that you guys can't even buy it's it's bumming me out and it's uh it's exhausting because they've all just been back to back on repeat and there's no hope in sight it's not like stock is getting better or it's not even like we're seeing more stock come in from some of the earlier gpus that were launched like the rtx 3080. i guess i'm also curious to know where you guys are at where you guys stand in all this but the holiday season this is like shopping season everyone's buying new hardware usually at this time of year what are you guys actually doing are you holding on to the hardware that you have right now until all that new stuff becomes available finally or are you planning to buy older hardware that's been out for a while now but is still maybe an upgrade from what you're working with currently either way let me know what your game plan is down below what you think about all this and maybe it'll help me help give me ideas for future content so that i'm not just shoving new impossible-defined gpus in your face for the next five videos but that's all for now guys thank you for watching toss a like on it if you enjoyed not the product or these crappy launches that keep happening but if you uh would like to support me and the channel and what we do here at bitwit it helps a lot i appreciate it thanks for watching and i'll see you guys in the next videoyou think i can hit that rtx 360 ti from here let's find out three two one oh not even close well you know what that wasn't even the worst paper launch we've seen this year okay yeah another another paper launch i'm sorry guys i'm sorry to do this to you i'm sorry to show you new hardware that isn't readily available so far we've got i think one two three four five this is the sixth new graphics card that's been released between amd and nvidia in the last couple months and has not been available or widely available and you know it's one of the the many cards now that have been snatched up by a number of bots in mass quantities and resold on the secondhand market for crazy inflated prices i mean the whole the whole gpu market right now is just a royal show so it kind of it steals some of it steals a lot of the thunder away from these otherwise exciting products you know and spoiler the rtx 360 ti here that we're going to be talking about today is a fantastic car but the fact that most of you will not be able to buy one for the foreseeable future is a major bummer it's a buzz kill you know i just made a fabulous like world-class steak dinner but none of you can eat it definitely puts a damper on things that being said there's bound to be that one percent of you i don't know maybe maybe point zero one percent of you at this point that actually is able to get your hands on one of these cards on any of these cards at some point so this video is for you because you guys deserve to know the data you deserve to know what these cards are capable of even if most people aren't able to get their hands on them and for the rest of you when when these cards do become available whenever that might be you can always look back on this video and the the reviews of many other creators so that you can make an informed purchasing decision when the time comes for now let us just talk about this card this is of course the rtx 3060 ti as i mentioned and as you can see it looks almost exactly the same as the rtx 3070 except that it is silver instead of this kind of gunmetal grayish bronze whatever whatever color this is i don't know have we decided on an actual color for it i don't know but there's a difference exactly the same body same spec in terms of dimensions which means it is a little bit shorter than the rtx 3080. notably shorter than the 3080 should fit in a wide variety of cases it is a two slot card right on the money two slots so pretty friendly for small form factor builds i would think it's got the same dual fan design again same as the 30-70 with uh the fan on the right having the pass-through heat sink so it's going to be exhausting air straight up out of the car you've also got a lot of ventilation at the back triple displayport 1.4 a and a single hdmi 2.0 b there's the matte black heatsink that goes across the entire card a 12 pin power connector this has a tgp or thermal graphics power of 200 watts which means it'll require about 200 watts from your power supply just for the cart alone we have a nice back plate that says 3060 ti right there and yeah everything else is pretty familiar i don't need to go into too much further detail i do like the silver color i think it's a nice easy way to differentiate it right off the bat at a glance from the 30 70. it still looks really nice and is color neutral so it should still fit a variety of builds color scheme wise on paper it's got 4864 cuda cores it boosts up to 1665 megahertz and it has 8 gigs of gddr6 memory on a 256 bit bus the pricing for this guy comes in at 399 us dollars so let's stack these up here we've got the 30 i'm sorry 360 ti for 3.99 30 70 for 4.99 then we have the radeon rx 6800 doing this in order of cheapest most expensive for 579 dollars then we have the radeon rx 6800 xt at 650 and then finally the rtx 3080 at 699 usd in the benchmark slides i've also listed these cards on the y-axis in order of uh most expensive to least expensive so you'll see the 3080 at the top and the 360 ti at the bottom so just bear in mind as you're watching those slides that they're ranked by price so you can easily see kind of where the performance should be you know ideally given the respective price tags let me give you a quick tour of the test bed that we're using for all five cards using an amd ryzen 9 5950x 16 core 32 thread chip being cooled by a pure loop ao 280 millimeter model from uh be quiet we've got 16 gigs of g skill trident z ddr4 at 3600 speed on top of an aorus x570 master motherboard we're booting off of an nvme pcie gen 3 m.2 drive as well and that's pretty much it i ran the you know the typical gamut of benchmarks in our usual suite including a variety of tests from 3dmark as well as six different game titles all aaa maxed out settings across the board both at 2560x1440 and 3840 by 2160. i know you can't buy any of this crap but for what it's worth here are the benchmarks so okay so after i ran those tests i created a sort of comparison graph where we can take a look at the overall performance of each of these cards and also how they stack up against the rtx 3060 ti in terms of performance as well as price uh and so we have like a frames per dollar readout there as well so starting with the 360 ti it rendered 492 frames that was across all six of our game titles and you can see i put 100 for the performance gain as well as the price difference because this is the gpu that we're comparing all the other ones against and it has a really good frame per dollar frames per dollar of 1.23 it's actually the highest out of every card tested at either resolution at 1440p or 2160p so right out of the gate the 3060 ti is a pretty awesome value the rtx 3070 for 100 more rendered 551 frames so it actually performed about 12 percent better on average than the 360 ti but it cost 25 more giving it a frames per dollar of 1.1 which isn't actually too far off from the 360 ti and as we know the 30 70 is a tremendous value as well in my testing the rx 6800 performed about nine percent better on average than the rtx 3060 ti but costs a whopping 45 more so it got a pretty low frames per dollar in comparison of just 0.92 like i said in my previous review the rx 6800 is a really capable gpu it's super fast i think it's just being held back by its hefty price tag the rx 6800 xt however outperforms the rtx 3060 ti by a landslide as you might expect given the pricing but it outperformed it by 24 and cost 63 more giving us a frames per dollar of 0.94 which is actually slightly higher or better value than the rx 6800 priced at 579 so even though it's a more expensive and more premium top-tier gpu the 6800 xt is technically technically has slightly better bang for the buck than its smaller rx 6800 which is not typically something you see usually as you scale up with the top-tier high-end cards that law of diminishing returns kicks in and you don't see quite as many dividends paying off for the amount of money that you're spending that's because the people who are buying these cards for 700 plus dollars aren't really interested in getting a good value or a bargain they're just looking for the most raw performance on the highest frame rate possible whatever the cost and finally we have the rtx 3080 with an msrp of 699 which rendered 659 frames giving us a 34 performance uplift over the rtx 3060 ti it costs 75 percent more than that card giving us a frames per dollar or fpd of 0.94 which is exactly identical to the rx 6800 xt's value just on a slightly faster and more expensive scale when it comes to 4k the rtx 3060 ti rendered 324 frames which if you divide that by the six game titles we tested that's under 60 fps it's like in the 50s it's like 54 56 frames per second on average which indicates that the 360 ti might not be the ideal choice for 4k gaming but for 1440p it's fantastic at 4k though you can see the frames per dollar of the card dropped significantly down to 0.81 compared to the 1.23 that it saw at 1440p in comparison the rtx 3070 was 11 faster on average and with that 25 price hike we're seeing a frames per dollar of 0.72 the rx 6800 outperformed the rtx 360 ti here by 13 and with that 45 price hike it did score the lowest frames per dollar of the day at just 0.63 the rx 6800 xt really has some room to stretch its legs here at 4k and outperforms the rtx 3060 ti by 35 and while it costs 63 more that gives us a frames per dollar of 0.67 which is still higher than the rx 6800 and once again we see the rtx 3080 crushing the 3060 ti with a whopping 42 uplift in performance and with a 75 price hike we're seeing a frames per dollar of 0.67 so let's jump into hypothetical land for a minute shall we and just pretend that we live in a world where all of these cards are readily available you can purchase them for a reasonable price after having spent a lot of time with these cards now over the last few weeks this is sort of how i break things down at least for me this is how i see it the two high-end cards that are roughly 700 bucks here rtx 3080 and rx 6800 xt buy these if you want really high refresh rates and high fps at 1440p or if you're gonna be gaming at 4k anything less demanding than that you're probably not going to need this much power in your system and you will you definitely won't need to spend this much money and of course there's also you know niche situations where maybe you have a triple 1080p display or triple 1440p display or multiple ultrawides and stuff like that whatever the case may be if you're trying to push a high number of pixels at high refresh rates and money isn't really an object and you just want raw performance these are the cards to go with now if you want to scale down to just 1440p gaming you don't want anything crazy you don't want to break the bank then the rtx 3070 is an excellent choice that is going to perform on par with an rtx 2080 ti for 5.99 this card is sort of like the odd man out the rx 6800 i don't know really what to do with it or where to place it because it's it's around the same performance of an rtx 3070 but it costs 80 more and for that price hike i just find it a little hard to justify so i'm not exactly sure where this fits in and finally if you want high refresh rates at 1080p or if you just want to go well above 60 fps on average at 1440p the rtx 360 ti is an excellent value at just 399 that's 100 cheaper than the already super fast 3070 and amd was i'm sorry nvidia was claiming that the 360 ti is roughly the same performance or faster than an rtx 2080 super and while i didn't test any of these cards against the 2080 super today i firmly believe that because in my testing just now i found that the 3070 which again is on par with a 2080 ti was only about 11 or 12 faster than the 360 ti so that tells me that this is a very capable card that is probably around 2080 super performance easily before the crazy gpu shortage that caused prices everywhere to skyrocket the rtx 2080 super was going for around 600 bucks if i remember correctly so this is obviously a lot cheaper than that for around the same performance it's a great bargain again in hypothetical land where you can buy one since we're not in hypothetical land and we live in reality what do you do what do you do if you need a new graphics card right now and you were looking at the
