FAVORITE FRIENDS TO LOVERS ROMANCES!

**Friends to Lovers: My Favorite Books**

I have recently read several books that I want to share with you all, and they are all about friends turning into lovers. One of my favorite books is "Waiting for Tom Hanks" by Emily Henry. This book follows the story of two co-workers, Chloe and Nick, who have a tumultuous relationship filled with bickering and unrequited feelings. Despite their differences, they can't deny the sparks flying between them, and as they spend more time together, they realize that maybe there's something more to their friendship than just coworkers.

As I delved into this book, I was struck by Chloe's complexity - she's hard to like because she's so back-and-forth with her feelings. Nick, on the other hand, is very steadfast in his emotions, knowing exactly what he wants and where it's going to lead. Their romance is a slow burn, but when it finally ignites, it's pure magic. I loved watching their relationship evolve from bickering friends to something more, and I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a friends-to-lovers story.

Another favorite of mine is "A Holiday Romance" by Christina Lauren. This book is the perfect Christmas read - it's got all the feels of a winter wonderland setting, with a cast of lovable characters that will make you want to snuggle up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. The story follows Mae, who loves Christmas and spends her holidays at her family's cabin, but when she wakes up on her way to this year's vacation, she finds herself reliving the same day over and over again. It's like Groundhog Day, but with romance!

As Mae navigates her repeated days, she meets a new person each time - Andrew, who has been her childhood friend for forever. There's always been something unrequited between them, but as they spend more time together, Mae starts to realize that maybe this is what truly makes her happy. I adored watching their relationship develop from tentative friendship to something more, and the chemistry between Mae and Andrew is undeniable.

Lastly, I want to mention "The Waiting for Tom Hanks Series" by Carrie Jones. This series has been a staple in my bookshelf for years, and while the first book didn't exactly win me over, the second one did. The story follows Chloe and Nick as they deal with the fallout of being the subject of a script about their relationship - it's like they're under the microscope, with everyone wanting to know what makes them tick.

As Chloe navigates her feelings for Nick, she has to confront the fact that he's already in love with him. Their romance is a beautiful thing, with Nick steadfastly pursuing Chloe and making her feel loved and wanted. I loved watching their relationship grow from friends to something more, and I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a friends-to-lovers story.

These books have all left an indelible mark on my heart, and I'm so grateful to have discovered them. If you're a fan of friends-to-lovers romances, I hope you'll check these out - there's something here for everyone.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone today i'm here to do a video that i'm really excited to film so today i'm going to talk about my favorite friends to lovers romance with the romance book genre there's so many sub genres there's like that with any genre within books at all music movies all that kind of stuff there's always genres sub genres sub sub genres we can go on and on but anyway friends of the lovers falls under the romance genre and basically what it means is these are books about friendships that have turned into something more so i have a whole list of books that are literally about that it was really hard to come up with these because i wrote down some and i'm like they weren't really friends they were just kind of nice at first i wanted like you know real friendships that took up the majority of the book and maybe they were fighting for each other but they were still first and foremost friends so hopefully that makes sense i've done another one of these videos before where it was hate to love where the characters really loved each other the beginning of the book and then by the end they loved each other this one's like they like each other they're friends you know but there could be so much more with that so there's a lot of books let's get into it the first book i want to talk about is josh and hazel's guide to not dating by christina lauren so this book is about you guessed it josh and hazel and they are friends they are originally not friends they met in college and in kind of the same friend circles they realized they really weren't compatible so that was kind of the end of their story until many many years later when they kind of meet up again they realize hey you know we could be really great friends let's be friends there's really no feelings there at least yet but let's be friends and the whole book is about them trying to set up each other with other people and the dates always go horribly wrong and somehow josh and hazel get closer and closer and with all these you can inevitably guess what happens friends becomes lovers you can get it this is a super cute book i love josh and hazel's friendship it is one of my favorite friends to lovers i don't know if i have a ultimate favorite it's really hard to say but i just it was so cute it was adorable i love all of christina lauren's books i just did a whole video about all of their books if you want to see that i'll link it up here and down below but this is a great friends to lovers one step i have float planned by trish dollar i've talked about this book a lot on my channel this year i love it not a lot of people have read it sad to say it's an amazing book it's a heart-heading book in this book we found a character named anna who has just lost um a year ago her fiance and she's really grieving and she decides to take the sailing trip they were always meant to go on together and so she goes and she learns that she really can't do this all in her own life she's not an expert sailor so she hires this guy named keane who is an expert sailor to kind of help her navigate and so they become friends it's definitely friends first for the good majority of the book and eventually feelings do emerge this book is a bit more serious i would say the more romance if that makes any sense but there still is romance in it does that make any sense probably not but anna's really struggling with grief she lost her fiance for trigger warnings to suicide so she's really still healing from that keen is also healing from his own way he's an amputee he lost his leg accident and he still wants to be a sailor and he still wants to say a lot so they both have a lot of grief they're working through but somehow this grief brings them to an amazing friendship that does blossom to something more and they are just so mature and open and honest about this like about being friends and then when they both realize that there's something more about being honest and being really transparent about it it's just a beautiful book so this one i do classify as like friends lovers because they were friends like they met each other with no intentions at all to like be together they just were like hey i'll help you out you help me out you know let's be friends and it literally was that it's an amazing book i think when you think of the whole french lover genre this year in particular you're going to hear about the book people we meet on vacation by emily henry this is literally the friends delivers book in my opinion so in this book we follow poppy and alex who have been friends since college they are very very opposite was everything poppy is a very wild spirit she likes travel she likes to do things and alex is very kind of he likes being at home in his hometown and things like that but you know they decide hey every summer let's take a couple weeks and go on a summer vacation together and they've been doing it for years and years until a couple years ago something happens and they haven't talked to each other since and so poppy decides hey i'm gonna reach out to alex i'm gonna ask him to let's have one last kind of summer vacation together and try to patch up our friendship and you know things like that this one has you know you can tell they're both friends but they both have feelings for each other they've had feelings for each other for so long and it's just you know the build up this is a great book for like build up you're just like screaming be together already we all know you want to be together so let's just do it this one's great because it has different time periods you'll go back to five summers ago seven summers ago and it kind of eventually gets to the two summers ago where this tumultuous fallout happened it's a great friends lover's romance i loved it it's definitely one of my favorites i still i don't know maybe by the end of this video i have a favorite right now i'm undecided then we have girl gone viral by alicia ryde this is her second book in the oh my goodness i forgot modern love series so i'm not mistaken you don't have to read these in order you can read one or you got three whatever you want to do it's kind of a companion series so other characters from other books will be in the series if that makes any sense so in this book we fought character named katrina who is a very private person she has her own security detail named jazz and he kind of just you know make sure she's safe and things like that because a lot of things have happened to her in her past so basically the book picks up with one day she's at a coffee shop and this guy starts flirting with her and it's you know just kind of cute and all that stuff and people just start like live tweeting the conversation with the hashtag cafe bae and they're like rooting for them to be together and it goes viral and katrina is very scared about that because she is trying to lay low for a number of reasons you'll figure out in the book and so she gets very scared ultimately for her safety and jazz whisks her away to like his home like peach orchard farm i know it's amazing and this is a friend's lover's romance because katrina and jazz are friends yes yes technically jazz works for her as his body as her bodyguard but they're friends they always have each other's backs and you know you can tell there's a lot of like romantic tension that they both have feelings for each other but they're like i don't want to put this friendship at stake and oh it is a sugary sweet romance that will have you screaming like get together already you guys for each other like let's just do this i uh i'm going to say every book i really loved it because i really do love them all then we have the flat share by beth o'leary so this book's interesting where it's kind of like has a you've got male spin to it as well we follow two characters tiffy and leon and tiffy is kind of um reeling from a bad breakup she doesn't have anywhere to live leon's kind of looking for a roommate the only catch is is that they live like in the same apartment and like it's a one-bedroom apartment which you're like how can you have a roommate with they like share the apartment like do different times so leon is a night shift worker he will take the apartment during the day where tiffy is at work so they just literally just switch off like he'll get home from work and then she'll be at work she'll get home from work and he'll be at work they never see each other because they're on alternate schedules even though they share the same bed it's a very it's odd situation but i guess it works out for them so you know basically they become roommates and they never really meet and they start leaving each other notes like you know like hey dinner's in the fridge hey this light bulb's out you know things like that and notes become more and more friendly they're you know they start talking they get to know each other a lot more and they truly become friends and then of course inevitably it turns into something more i love this book it's a very popular romance book with good reason i love the whole notes like how they got to know each other through the notes and left me with the you've got male spin even though they knew each other you know who each other was all along but gosh i just i don't know why i love any sort of like where people get to know each other like the old-fashioned way through notes and just cute stuff like that i adored this one so yeah i do think they were really truly friends first for a while because they were roommates and they were friends and then inevitably feelings getting next up i have take a hint danny brown by talia hibbert so this is the interesting romance book where it falls under many tropes this is a book that could be considered friends to lovers but it could also be considered as fake dating so when i have my fake dating video up one day don't be surprised to see this in there because honestly it fits both tropes perfectly so in this blue fog character named danny who's like a professor super super smart and she's really good friends with kind of the security guard at the front desk severe and they've always you know talked they're always friends things like that and then one day like a security drill or like a fire drill happens and danny gets stuck in the elevator because she didn't know if it was going to happen and sophia saves her and people tweet about it of course because they're in that day and age and it goes viral and they decide to have a fake relationship to help each other out because they're friends they wanna you know she knows that it'll help his um non-profit that he's helping run and things like that so she's like i'm your friend of course i'll do this so this one it does really resonate with fake dating more so than friends lois for me but they were still very much friends first like he would always like save a snack for her she would always like kind of get him coffee it was just a really cute and adorable friendship that was already established at the beginning of the book which is what i'm kind of fitting the criteria here hopefully that's okay i think it is but uh any one of these books by talia hibbert the brown sisters books are great then i have things you save in the fire by katherine center this is one of my favorite romance books and i do consider it a friends to lovers book so this one follows a character cassie who is a female firefighter which is awesome she lives in texas her career is going great everything's going great and she gets a call from her really estranged mother i think she lives in boston yes and she's like you know i need help i didn't ask for help for a long time but i need help and so reluctantly cassie kind of uproots her life and moves to this um small town in boston starts working as a firefighter there and they're very very sexist when cassie comes because she's a female firefighter and she's in this industry where it's mostly men so they really disregard her a lot and she often gets paired up with the rookie a lot there as well trying to find his name because he's always called the rookie he's never referred to a lot by his um name i'm trying to figure it out he's got a name but literally the whole book is referred to as the rookie so basically her and the rookie i don't know why i'm like laughing saying that it seems to think of baseball for some reason i don't know but either way they become friends because they're like kind of the bottom you know nobody likes them at the fire department they're just kind of like at the bottom of the ladder pretty so to say and they bond and she realizes that she's feelings for him but she's like no can't date firefighters so i could just be his friend but we all know what's going to happen it's a very i mean it's a really cute romance book it's got a lot of family stuff in here as well but gosh if you want an awesome kickbutt female firefighter that falls in love with a rookie firefighter this book's right there for you i have not liked the movies by carrie winfrey this is another kind of book that's in a series it's called the waiting for tom hanks book and i it's called the waiting for tom hanks series i think i read the first book waiting for tom hanks how many how much can i say that i didn't really like it but i did really like the second book so this book follows sorry i have to look it up on my phone it follows chloe who works at um this coffee shop and her and her boss boss nick have always kind of have this tumultuous relationship like not tumultuous and the fact where they fight all the time they just kind of bicker all the time you can tell there's so many feelings underlay but you know their friends their co-workers boss and you know worker i don't know subordinate whatever you want to say there's clearly a lot of romantic tension there and the whole second book is about like they're getting more and more eyes on them because there was like a script written about them about their kind of sexual attention and things like that and you know everybody's like you know you guys need to be together and so they get into a lot of forced proximity and makes them realize that hey maybe there is something here maybe we're more than friends maybe we're more than the bickering you know people were always meant to be it's really cute um chloe is hard to like because she's just so back and forth with her feelings where nick is very steadfast in them like he already knows like that he this is how he feels this is where it's gonna go you know he's steadfast in that and chloe really just is very back and forth with how she feels but overall it's a great friends to lovers books and a coffee shop which is the dream and the last book i want to talk about is a holiday book and that is in a holidays by christina lauren yet again of course they've written so many romantic books of course they're going to have lots in one particular trope so this one is like i said a holiday book it's best to read a christmas but you don't have to if you don't want to if you want to celebrate christmas in july coming soon you do your thing um whatever you want to do so this is about a character named mae maelyn who loves christmas she spends it with her family and like her family's friends at this cabin and she's very just she's very unhappy to learn like this year's gonna be their last year because they're selling the cabin and she's like i just want to be happy and she like throws that thought out there in the universe and then she wakes up like and she thinks this thought while she's like driving away from this christmas vacation then she wakes up on the plane to the vacation all over again so it's kind of got like this groundhog day element where she has to relive it over and over again so until she finds what truly makes her happy of course there's a guy involved i believe his name is andrew yes and they've been childhood friends for forever she's had a crush on him for forever but there's never been that line that's been crossed because of certain things and so maybe she learns this is what's truly going to make me happy it's an adorable christmas read i do recommend reading it around christmas because you know put you in the christmas move but like i said you don't have to there's no rules when it comes to reading books at any time of the year do your thing but either way it's a great friend still lovers book there you have it those are all of my favorite friends to lovers book recommendations i'm sure i'm going to read a lot more and have a part two to this at some point but these are just what i've read recently over the past few years and that i think are an amazing friends to lovers books i would love to know if you've read any of these and what are your favorite friends to lovers books i not mention any that you love please leave me recommendations down below thank you guys so much for watching and i will see my next video byehello everyone today i'm here to do a video that i'm really excited to film where she has to relive it over and over again so until she finds what truly makes her happy of course there's a guy involved i believe his name is andrew yes and they've been childhood friends for forever she's had a crush on him for forever but there's never been that line that's been crossed because of certain things and so maybe she learns this is what's truly going to make me happy it's an adorable christmas read i do recommend reading it around christmas because you know put you in the christmas move but like i said you don't have to there's no rules when it comes to reading books at
