**The Samsung Galaxy A9: A Device with Unparalleled Camera Capabilities**
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is a device that boasts an impressive array of features, including a quad-camera setup that sets it apart from its competitors. The camera setup on this device includes one main camera with 24 megapixels and an F/1.7 aperture, as well as a second telephoto camera with 10 megapixels and an F/2.4 aperture. Additionally, the device features an ultra-wide-angle sensor with 8 megapixels and an F/2.4 aperture, along with a depth sensor with 5 megapixels and an F/2.2 aperture. The quad-camera setup allows for capturing 4K video at 30 frames per second.
**Powering the Galaxy A9**
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 616 chipset with an octa-core processor, consisting of four cores operating at 2.2 gigahertz and four cores operating at 1.8 gigahertz. The device also features the Adreno 512 GPU. Users can choose from either a 6GB or 8GB variant of RAM, along with 128GB of on-board storage. However, the device also has a dedicated microSD card slot, allowing users to expand their storage capacity up to 512GB.
**Design and Build**
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is designed to be comfortable to hold in one's hand, measuring just 7.8mm in terms of thickness and weighing 183 grams. The device features the power button, volume buttons, SIM tray, noise cancellation microphone, Bigsby button (on some devices), and other features on its left side.
**User Interface**
The Galaxy A9 runs Samsung's UI 9, still based on Android 8. However, this is a bit disappointing for users who are accustomed to newer operating systems. The device does support NFC, Samsung Pay, and face unlock capabilities, along with fingerprint scanning. Overall, the user interface is quite familiar, with pre-loaded applications such as Microsoft Office, which cannot be uninstalled.
**Battery Life**
The Samsung Galaxy A9 features a 3800mAh battery that supports Samsung's 10W adaptive fast charging. This should provide users with a full day of use on a single charge.
**Special Features**
One of the unique features of the Galaxy A9 is its ability to capture images with different framing options, all within the same location. The device also offers dedicated controls for the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, allowing users to frame their shots in new ways. Additionally, the camera interface includes Samsung's Live Focus capability, along with Portrait Dolly and other effect features.
**Additional Features**
The Galaxy A9 is available in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, depending on user preference. The device also has a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding storage capacity up to 512GB. With its quad-camera setup, advanced camera features, and long battery life, the Samsung Galaxy A9 promises to be an excellent choice for users who value photography.
**Camera Review**
If you are intrigued by this device and would like to learn more about its camera capabilities, a full review is in order. This will delve deeper into the specifics of the quad-camera setup, including how it performs in different lighting conditions and how it handles various types of shots.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys what's up this is we're at the Oh watching again today we're gonna be unboxing taking a first look at the new Samsung Galaxy a nine we got it in two colours let's quickly get started Samsung Galaxy a nine has just been launched in India it is available in two variants one for thirty six 990 while the other for thirty nine nine ninety the phones are here in the two standout colors apart from the standard black we have them here in the laminate blue and the bubblegum pink you'll see on the box that it is a typical Samsung box and it does mention that these phones are locked to Indian SIM cards and they are for the initial beta you have to use them for about five minutes and then you can take them overseas with you once we cut through the packaging the first thing inside the box is a compartment which houses the sim ejector tool and if we go further in you're also getting a free case for the a9 now this is a silicone case it's a clear case but it's a really high-quality case and the minute I hold it in my hand I realize that the quality of the case is pretty good also inside the box is basic documentation and the documentation also contains the SAR information which is presently on screen now going further in we get the device itself and I'll flip it around and you can see the blue color over there looks really nice place it to the side for the time being and go further in I get the standard wall charger now this is a fast adaptive charger according to Samsung but it's only a 10 watt charger also inside the box is a USB type-c cable and the in-ear style earphones along with a push button to send and receive calls that basically completes everything from the box of the a9 I'm also going to quickly unbox the pink color over here to see what that looks like and now I pull out the pink color and that's what the pink color looks like really nice looking devices in general and you can also see the quad camera setup on the back which is what makes these phones are really special and one of the first phones of props possibly the first one where the four cameras at the back available in India so let's do a quick one over the device over at the front we get a 24 megapixel f/2 aperture equipped sensor now this is a front-facing sensor with a wide-angle lens we also get the ear piece and a few sensors for the front of the device below that is a six point three inch full HD plus Super AMOLED display with a 2 to 2 0 by 1080 pixel resolution now you can see that there is a slight chin at the bottom and if you move the phone towards the bottom edge of the device you will see that we get a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB type-c port in the sensor you can also see the microphone and the speaker along with a few antenna bands on the bottom edge on the right of the device is the power button along with the volume buttons you also have the SIM tray on the top of the device along with the noise cancellation microphone and over at the left is the dedicated Bigsby button yes some devices still have it now and a big speech is still on the samsung galaxy a 9 now over the back is where all the action is we've got a quad camera set up with one main camera of 24 megapixels with an F 1.7 aperture the second camera which is in telephoto camera is a 10 megapixel camera with the F 2.4 aperture to also get an ultra wide 8 megapixel sensor with an F 2.4 aperture and then you have the depth sensor which is a 5 megapixel sensor with an F 2.2 aperture the phone can capture 4k video even though it does that only at 30 frames per second now once we power on the device you'll see that it's running Samsung's UI 9 it's still on Android 8 however and that's a little bit of a disappointment the phone is really comfortable to hold in the hand it's only 7 point 8 millimeters in terms of thickness and weighs in at 183 grams despite the large size running everything is a qualcomm snapdragon 616 chipset with an octa-core processor 4 cores at 2.2 gigahertz and Foucault's at 1.8 gigahertz you will also get the audrina 512 GPU now like I mentioned you either get a 6 gigabyte variant or an 8 gigabyte variant along with 128 gigabytes of on-board storage but you can pop in a micro SD card into a dedicated slot and it's supposed up to 512 gigabyte so potentially you could carry a lot of things on this phone because you get a lot of storage options the phone has a 3800 milliamp hour battery which supports Samsung's 10 watt adaptive fast charge we'll be putting it through the paces but it should usually last you a full day of use the Galaxy a9 does have NFC and it does support Samsung pay and you have that feature in built into the device you can of course download the app and start using it if that's something that you already do overall the UI is quite familiar with what we've seen in the past and you do get pre-loaded applications including the whole Microsoft suite which you can not uninstall and it is something that works me but there are certain other apps that you can uninstall and you should go ahead and remove anything that you don't need but apart from that there is not a lot of bloatware on the device which makes it interesting and also makes it faster and responsive from the get-go now Samsung will update this to Android 9 and that's when we would be interested in checking out the user interface a lot more but for now if we look at the camera interface which is probably the most interesting part of this phone you will see that you do have dedicated controls for the ultra wide as well as the telephoto lens and that is what makes this phone unique because you can get quite a few framing options from your same location so imagine clicking an image of the monument and you think that the frame is too wide and you can easily zoom in using a telephoto lens or if you think that the frame is too small and you're really up close to the monument you can make it ultra wide and get a lot more in the frame this is something that you will really enjoy using over a period of time if you do click pictures a lot the phone continues to get a Samsung's live focus capability along with the portrait dolly and some of the other stickers and effect features that we saw with the Samsung Galaxy a7 something that we'll be interested in checking out in depth the camera also gets the new scene detection modes which automatically detect what things you are clicking pictures of and sets the camera setting according to that which makes using the phone a lot easier apart from that the phone does have a fingerprint along with face unlock capabilities the fingerprint sensor is fast and really responsive the face unlock not so much it takes a little bit of a time for the unlock to happen if you're using face unlock however the fingerprint sensor is blazing fast now with four cameras on at the samsung galaxy a nine are you intrigued by this device would
