**The Droid: A Solid Package with 4G and Android**

Hello everyone, I'd like to take a moment to discuss the features of the droid. As you may know, we've talked about this previously, but I'd like to highlight some of the key differences between 3G and 4G technology. It's almost like going from dial-up to broadband - much faster internet browsing, similar to what you experience on your home computer.

One of the notable features of the droid is its 4G capabilities, which are starting to roll out nationwide. This means that internet browsing will be almost as fast, if not even just as fast, as on your normal computer at home. Additionally, the droid has a very nice large screen, much larger than most screens around, and it's equipped with a front-facing camera.

As you may know, the droid runs Android, which is a popular operating system among many smartphones. The device is powered by a Snapdragon processor, which is also used in other Android phones. When you combine all these features together, you get a pretty solid package.

**iPhone 4 vs Android 2.2**

Hello, are you there? Ah, yes! My question is about the iPhone 4 and Android 2.2. Well, as far as operating systems go, I think Android's really good, but I just kind of like the iPhone a little bit more because it's really smooth - everything is very polished, even as a version four. I mean, they've obviously done a lot to make it smooth and polished.

I'm sure your mom has an Android phone, and I don't really like it because the Springboard is kind of laggy. I have an iPod touch, and comparing those two, I see that the operating system for the iPhones are a lot better. My next question is about Verizon or AT&T. Verizon, please! I have Verizon, and I do not like AT&T - their service is not very good in most places where Verizon is really good.

**Verizon vs AT&T**

I don't really like AT&T because of their policies - that's not to say that I really dislike them, but I definitely prefer Verizon in my opinion. So okay, thanks for answering my questions, man! Thank you!

**The Future of Jailbreaking**

Hello are you there? Ah, yes! What's your question, man? Um, I was just wondering with all the new iPhone 4 background changing and multitasking features when do you think they will just stop Cydia because of all these features coming to the iPhone. Well, I don't think that'll ever happen.

You know a lot of the stuff that people jailbreak for has been added in iOS 4 - like background changing, running more than one app at a time. But I still see that there will always be things for such as 3G unrestrictors that you can run, like 3g applications that normally require Wi-Fi.

I think they're always going to be a lot of reasons to go ahead and jailbreak to get more openness to be able to do more of what you want. But I agree with you that iOS4 has taken a couple of the big things that people jailbreak away for, hopefully yeah jailbreaking will stay.

let me just clear up a few questions i get android is not a phone guys i know that there is the droid but that's a different thing from android android is a full software platform that is runs on a ton of phones guys i mean literally there are probably you know a couple android phones come out every week okay android basically is made by google it's an operating system for phones sometimes for like tablets even for like small computers very rarely but um and basically lots of phones built off of it it's a really solid platform and there have been some really really good phones that have been built off android um so guys i'm gonna go ahead and compare just a few phones today to help you kind of understand what what all this means um so obviously i'm gonna take a look at the iphone 4 okay iphone 4 is really looking solid guys i mean it's the thinnest smartphone on the planet right now which it sounds like something you know steve jobs would say but you know it's a really cool thing um it's very very cool as far as the screen the screen is really high resolution i call it the retina display because the screen's so high resolution your eyes can't even you know if it was any better your eyes couldn't see i don't 100 agree with that guys it might it depends on how far you uh hold it but at any rate guys the iphone 4 has probably the best screen you can get on a phone right now obviously it has the iphone os or it's now called ios it now has multitasking um it has the app store with you know like over 230 000 apps um you know guys the iphone 4 is going to be a huge phone and it's they're going to sell millions of them and probably every single one of those people are going to be happy with it but that's not to say that it is the only phone that you might want to get there are also several android phones um so there are three of them i'm going to talk about today but of course guys there are many many more and i mean most of these phones are really good i'm going to go ahead and focus on three today the first one is going to be the motorola droid 2. of course guys the argument arguably the phone that really kicked off android was the original droid which came out late last year um guys it is a really solid phone you know it's got the slide out keyboard but it's you know it's got a really nice screen it's fast and you know it's a really solid phone but there are a lot better phones nowadays and so of course it's about time for the motorola droid 2. um so guys they might actually name it the droid 2 they might name it a couple other names there's a bunch of different you know people talking about it but anyway it will be the successor to the droid it will look very similar it will have maybe just like a little bit of chrome around it um it will probably have a little bit of a faster processor but it will be mostly the same um guys will run android which means you can run over i believe over 50 000 apps on android so i mean it might not be 230 000 but guys you're not going to download you know 10 000 20 000 apps so it's not that huge of a deal you should be able to find pretty much anything you need um so guys the droid 2 is probably going to be the best phone if you really want a hardware keyboard um you know a lot of smartphones these days are going to the software keyboard you know just use the touchscreen but the droid has always had a pretty decent maybe not an amazing but a pretty decent keyboard and the droid 2 looks to improve on this so guys if the keyboard maybe you're coming from a blackberry or a windows mobile phone which obviously you know has a standard keyboard you might want to go ahead and take a look at the droid 2 which should be out within the next month or so month and a half maybe um guys now the next two phones are already out um the next one is going to be on verizon and it will be the droid incredible guys this is a pretty solid phone um it's got a 3.7 inch display which is very very slightly larger than the iphone display it's got a very high resolution but the cool thing about it is it has a snapdragon processor now guys you know that means basically it is just it's going to be very very fast you know you'll be able to you know browse websites fast open apps fast you'll play even some pretty decent games it's just going to be a very fast phone it also has the htc sense interface on top of android what this means is that you'll have a little bit more functionality you'll have a cool clock you'll be able to you know have more home screens um you know some various little features that will be pretty helpful um guys the htc droid incredible if you're buying a phone on verizon right now guys that would probably be the one to go for the droid 2 will be coming soon but it will probably not be you know better than the htc droid incredible just because they're two different phones you know one has a keyboard and one doesn't so guys if you're interested in the front phone on verizon right now the htc droid credible is probably the one to get now guys for probably the best android phone right now which is the htc evo 4g guys this is a monster of a phone it is had a 4.2 4.3 action i'm not 100 sure but it's over a four inch display which is much much larger than you know anything else really on the market right now it runs android with earth again with the htc sense interface just like on the incredible um but guys it's got a lot of really cool features it's got a snapdragon processor so it's going to be very fast um it's got a full eight megapixel camera on the back that shoots high definition video guys that's pretty impressive you actually take your phone shoot high definition video so you know you can quit carrying you know like a flat minnow or whatever you know camcorder you might carry on a day-to-day basis um some more things are it has hdmi out so you can actually just plug right into the bottom of the phone and output to your high definition tv so you can watch all the videos you have in addition it has a front facing camera guys this is going to be really cool because you can actually you know hold the phone there and actually you know stare at the screen or stare at a little camera right above the screen you can actually talk to people um it will work on 3g as well but guys the main thing that makes this phone go from really really good to just fantastic is that it has 4g so sprint has built out a network in the united states called 4g which is basically going to be the next kind of wireless network that everyone we're going to start using basically with this you can go ahead and get much much faster downloads and the internet is going to be super fast um you know they've said upwards of 10 megabits per second which guys is faster than i mean probably 80 to 90 percent of people's internet connections at their house so guys you can be out in the middle of nowhere and get internet that's much faster than at your house and of course 4g isn't everywhere yet but it's great that you can go ahead and get on that plus it will work on pretty much anywhere as is before you would you just bump up to that when you're around it so guys htc evo 4g looks great now guys to the little bit bigger question which is what should i get well guys if i mean i'm going to say this once i'm going to say anytime anybody asked me the iphone 4 looks great and if you buy it you will not be disappointed i mean it looks great it's got a great design in my opinion um you know there's a lot to like about the iphone but you know there are some things that there's not like to like i mean you know the app store is a little bit closed um you know you can't it's a real big trouble to go ahead and jailbreak or modify it you know to do what you want to do on it so it's a really closed platform um so that's why i like to come to android for a lot of people um it's open so it's not difficult to you know you can pretty much put any app on there you want you know nobody's really going to say no you can't use that or whatever it's really nice and open and plus there's a ton of different phones you can get phones with keyboards phones without keyboards you can get phones with your front-facing cameras this that this that i mean there's a new awesome android phone that seems to come out you know every couple weeks so guys it's really down to you um but guys when i tell you this believe me you can't go wrong with either of them android is a really solid thing and the iphone's really solid as well mag doesn't have a lot but there are a lot of applications that have been made from windows you know since like the 98 days 2000 a lot of stuff that will still work on windows right today i mean a lot of my games so i mean there's nothing really that bad about mac in my opinion i mean i like it i've had a mac before but i've just used windows for so long and that you know i know it so well that's
