**Karbonn Smart App 7: A Comprehensive Review**
Hi guys, this is Up Enough Oregon, and today we have with us the Karbonn Smart App 7. We are here to explore its gaming abilities on the device. Let’s quickly go through the specifications:
The Karbonn Smart App 7 runs on Android 4.2.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), features a 7-inch WVGA display, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM.
Earlier, we had tested the gaming abilities on the Carbon Smart Tab 8, which didn’t perform quite well. So, we were seriously hoping that the gaming performance of the Smart Tab 7 wouldn’t be as bad as the Smart Tab 8.
To tell you honestly, it wasn’t. The Smart Tab 7 comes pre-installed with basic games like Angry Birds Rio and Fruit Enza. Let’s try out Angry Birds Rio now.
The biggest issue we faced with the Smart Tab was its responsiveness, but the Smart Tab 7 overcomes that issue to a great extent. Even the gameplay during Angry Birds was quite smooth, and we did manage to play the game without any lags.
Let’s try out Dead Trigger on the device. The Smart Tab 7 overcomes another big issue that we faced with the Smart Tab 8, which is the viewing angles. Just as you can see, the viewing angles in the Smart Tab 7 are quite better than the Smart Tab 8, and you do manage to see what’s going on at the screen even if you move it a bit.
As far as gameplay is concerned, it was quite jerky, but some amount of jerk can be expected from a device at this price point and with such specifications. Let’s shift to Blood and Glory now. The speaker on the Smart App 7 is loud enough, but it gets too noisy at high levels. So, as you can see, though there are no visible jerks here in the gameplay, it is an ass mood either.
One issue that the Smart Tab 7 shares with its older brother, the Smart Tab 8, is that while playing Asphalt 7, the game always crashes while loading. You had the same issue on the Smash Debate and we have the same issue on the Smart Tab 7 as well.
It’s time to try out Real Football 13 now. The Smart Tab 8 failed miserably when we tried out Real Football 12 on the device as the controls did not fit the screen properly. But, as soon as the gameplay started on this Smart Tab 7, it was quite a relief to see that the controls were exactly where they should have been.
Again, as far as gaming is concerned, it isn’t smooth at all, and you won’t enjoy playing this game for extended durations on the Smart Tab 7. But we guess it’s cruel to expect high-end gaming on an entry-level device.
Finally, it’s time for a verdict. The Smart Tab 7 holds up quite well as far as casual gaming is concerned and overcomes all the major issues we faced with the gaming on the Smart Tab 8. Thus, the Smart Tab 7 seems a pretty nice buy at its price point.
