Recover Lost or Deleted Partition to Recover Data

Recovering Lost or Deleted Partitions using Mini Tool Partition Recovery Wizard

In today's digital age, data loss can happen to anyone, regardless of their level of computer expertise. Losing partitions or data on your hard drive can be frustrating and sometimes, irreparable. However, with the right tools and knowledge, it is possible to recover lost or deleted partitions. In this article, we will explore how to use Mini Tool Partition Recovery Wizard to recover your lost or deleted partitions.

The Importance of Scanning for New Hardware

When a new hardware device is connected to a computer, it's essential to scan for new hardware to ensure the system recognizes the device. Sometimes, scanning for new hardware can make the drive visible again. The controller and restarting the system sometimes makes the drive visible again if you've had problems with it. However, if the partition has been deleted or corrupted, none of these methods work.

Restarting the System

To start fresh, restart the system. Once the computer is back online, open up Mini Tool to show its capabilities. Launch the application, and once launched, the actual program will be displayed. The tool will display all available drives, including the two terabyte drive with Linux swap and ext4 partitions.

Deleting Unnecessary Volumes

Since the data on the Linux partition is not needed, delete these volumes quickly using right-click on the volume. This allows the user to directly go straight over to the Partition Recovery Wizard without applying any changes. The tool will display a quick scan of the drive, which may take some time. This initial scan is essential to detect partitions and identify if they are lost or deleted.

Full Drive Scan

To scan the full drive, select the two terabyte drive as the target drive. This step takes more time than scanning for unallocated space alone but provides a more thorough examination of the entire drive. Once the scan is complete, the tool will display any detected partitions, even if they are labeled as "lost or deleted."

Applying Recovery Changes

After detecting lost or deleted partitions, apply these changes to recover them. Click Finish to initiate the recovery process and wait for it to complete. If successful, the recovered partitions will be visible again.

Managing Newly Recovered Partitions

With the newly recovered partitions in place, manage them by allocating letters to the drives if they are not already visible. This can be done using the "Manage" section of the tool. Right-click on the drive and select "Change Drive Letter and Paths." Clicking "Add" will enable users to choose their own letters for the drive.

Conclusion

Recovering lost or deleted partitions is a complex task that requires patience, knowledge, and the right tools. Mini Tool Partition Recovery Wizard is an essential tool in this process. your motherboard it could be the drive is dying it could be the drive doesn't have drive letters it could be a Linux now partition it could be loads of different reasons why this has happened so let's take a look at a disk management go to start and right-click on computer and go manage so we'll take a look at this management here to see what's going on so we can now open up our computer management and then go to disk management and you can see the drive is still visible here and you can see there's no Drive letters so this may be a case where you could just put the drive letter on the dry pool then suddenly reappear but in this case this has got linux partition on it and this will not be displayed as you can see here so when you right-click as you can see it's all grayed out and you won't be able to do anything but delete that volume and so if you're missing around he see all these volumes you can right-click on them and you won't be able to do anything so if you have been messing with Linux or your drivers suddenly become unstable and the partition is not visible there then we can recover that so we're going to do is quickly try the computer here right-click on this and go to properties and look at device manager to see if the drive would be visible there for you guys so you can see here this is where another place you want to look have a look in disk drives and you can see I've got three drives in here I've got my two solid-state drives and I've also got the big Seagate two terabyte drive so you can now see the drive is visible there now sometimes scanning for new hardware will make the drive suddenly become visible or sometimes uninstall in that controller and in rebooting the system sometimes makes the drive visible again if you've had problems with it but if two terabyte drive and you can see it's got linux swap and also ext4 on there which is linux so they're no good to me I can't see the data on there when I'm on a Windows machine so I'm going to do is quickly right-click on this and delete these volumes I don't need them we could just go straight over to partition recovery wizard if you want to I haven't applied any of these yet so I'm just gonna have a little quick look at the partition recovery wizard here and then I can go next here and then select my drive which is the two terabyte drive make sure you select the right one so the middle one is my tutor right drive and you can see it there and it says unallocated space until next and now we can do the full drive because I want to scan the full drive now this does take a bit of time you can also scan for unallocated space and also I'm going to do a quick scan here first because it's always advisable to do a quick scan straightaway as you can see it's now detected the partitions on there which are Windows partitions now even though it says lost or deleted we can still recover these partitions we just have to be patient and let the scan finish once the scans finish we can then put the ticks in and recover these partitions even if they're lost or deleted as it states there which they are so I'm going to select these and you can see this bit of an allocated space it's not recovered that partition there but I'm not too worried about that so we can do another scan if we wanted to on a deeper scan click finish and then either need to apply these changes and then up and then say yes here and this will then try to recover those partitions there you go it start to recover them and once we got these partitions recovered we should be able to get our data back so we can click OK now we've now finished with the MIDI tool we can close this off if you want to do another scan a more longer scan you can do if you wish if you've got other partitions not visible so going to go to manage here and put up this management again now you're going to need to allocate some letters here for yourself so right clicking on here you can see here change letter there's no letter on there so you won't be visible so you need to add a letter on so you can then see the data on that drive so we're going to quickly add a letter here for that drive and another one here right-click change drive letter and paths just click add and that lets us find you can select your own letters if you wish that will do for me now we can close this off and we can check out our drive now there's still on a allocated space here we can scan for that a little bit later on if we wish but I open up my computer here as you can see my data is now visible on both of these partitions I can now get all my data back and that's basically how you can recover your lost or deleted or corrupt politicians using mini tool partition recovery wizard my name is Brian from bright tech computer Skoda UK hope you
