**A Holiday Readathon Challenge**
As I sift through my bookshelf and consider what to read for this holiday readathon challenge, I'm excited to dive into a variety of prompts that will help me discover new books and revisit old favorites. The challenge is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose from a range of reading prompts that cater to their individual tastes.
One of the challenges I'm most looking forward to is the "already owned" prompt, which asks participants to read a book they purchased last year but haven't had a chance to get to yet. This prompt feels like a great opportunity for me to revisit a holiday gift that I've been meaning to read for months. I know for sure I was gifted some books last Christmas that I haven't read, so hopefully I'll pick up one of those next.
Another challenge that caught my eye is "The Grinch," which asks participants to read a book with an unreliable narrator or an enemies-to-lovers plot. Since I'm always drawn to romance novels, it's no surprise that I'll be reading an enemies-to-lovers book for this challenge. It feels like a given! The more I think about it, the more I feel like you could definitely layer these prompts together if you don't want to read seven books. For example, you could easily combine dual perspectives with enemies-to-lovers and already owned prompts.
**The Reading Challenges**
For this readathon challenge, we have a range of reading prompts to choose from. We'll be reading seven books over the course of the holiday season, and I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with. The challenges are designed to be fun and engaging, and I know that they'll help me discover new books and authors.
**The Photo Prompts**
In addition to the reading challenges, we also have a range of photo prompts to participate in on social media. These prompts are designed to add an extra layer of fun to the readathon challenge, and I'm excited to see how everyone interprets them. The first prompt is "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which asks participants to post a picture of their TBR (to-be-read) pile for the readathon.
The second prompt is "Most Wonderful Time of the Year," which asks participants to post a picture with their favorite thing about the holidays. This could be anything from family and friends to food and drink, or even something more abstract like holiday cheer or nostalgia. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
The third prompt is "Let It Snow," which asks participants to post a picture of snow – either real or imaginary. Since I live in a hot climate, I won't be able to post a picture of actual snow, but I think it's an opportunity to get creative and come up with something else that captures the winter spirit.
**The Remaining Photo Prompts**
We also have photo prompts for "Mistletoe," "Rock and Roll the Christmas Tree," "The Christmas Song," and "Santa Baby." These prompts are designed to be fun and festive, and I know that they'll help add an extra layer of excitement to the readathon challenge.
For example, the prompt for "Mistletoe" asks participants to post a picture of a holiday book that they love. This is a great opportunity for me to share my favorite holiday read with everyone!
The sixth prompt, "The Christmas Song," asks participants to post a picture of their favorite holiday drink or treat. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with – and maybe even trying out some new recipes myself.
Finally, the last photo prompt is "Santa Baby," which asks participants to post a picture with wrapping paper and presents. This one feels like a lot of fun, especially since I love wrapping gifts and getting into the holiday spirit.
**Joining In**
One of the best things about this readathon challenge is that it's designed to be inclusive and participatory. We'll have a link in the description below where you can join in and share your own TBRs, photo prompts, and reading experiences. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with, and I hope you'll join me on this holiday readathon adventure!
I love you all so much, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what we'll get up to during this holiday season.
