**The BlackBerry Key 2: A Unique Device with a Physical Keyboard**

The BlackBerry Key 2 is one of the few devices to feature a physical keyboard, which sets it apart from its competitors. The device's standout feature is indeed this physical keyboard, and it's easy to see why. One of the notable features of this keyboard is that the spacebar doubles up as a fingerprint scanner in a quite accessible position. This means that whichever hand you're using the device with, you can quickly access the fingerprint scanner.

Another feature of the keyboard is that it has backlighting, but also has cut-out keys. What this means is that you can swipe left and right and scroll using just the keyboard, rather than having to reach all the way up to the screen. This feature is particularly useful for users who prefer a more tactile experience when interacting with their device. Additionally, you can assign shortcuts to many of these keys. For example, pressing down on the guide key will launch Instagram, Facebook, and other apps. You can also customize these shortcuts to suit your needs.

**Display and Design**

The BlackBerry Key 2 features a 4.5-inch display, but with an unusual aspect ratio of 3:2. This gives it a resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels, which is equivalent to a 1080p screen but with some elements cut off due to the aspect ratio. The device's designers have stated that this size and aspect ratio were chosen to provide a balance between portability and usability. With a smaller display, you won't need to sacrifice too much real estate for apps when using the keyboard.

The front of the device features an 8-megapixel camera, a sensor, earpiece, and a 3.5mm headphone jack that looks like a secondary mic at the bottom. There's also an 8-megapixel front-facing camera at the top, as well as a USB-C connector and one speaker. On the left side of the device is a power button, while on the right side is a SIM card tray. The SIM card tray also supports microSD cards, allowing users to expand their storage.

**Camera Capabilities**

One of the most interesting features of the BlackBerry Key 2 is its camera capabilities. The device features a large 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, which uses the same sensor as Google's Pixel series. This means that it has some serious competition in terms of image quality. However, the lens and image processing are different from those used in the Pixel, so we'll have to wait and see how this performs.

The camera also features a dual LED flash, which should provide better low-light performance. The BlackBerry logo is present at the back of the device, along with a soft texture that provides some grip. This design choice helps to reduce fingerprints and smudges on the device.

**Performance**

Under the hood, the BlackBerry Key 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, which may seem like a step down from more powerful flagship processors found in other devices. However, this processor has proven itself to be efficient and capable of handling demanding tasks. The device comes with 3GB of RAM, which should provide smooth performance for most users.

**Battery Life**

The BlackBerry Key 2 features a large 3500mAh battery, which should last for several days on a single charge. This is impressive considering the smaller display and lower-resolution screen found on this device. The fast charging capabilities also mean that you can quickly top up your battery when needed. With its Android version 7.1 operating system, the BlackBerry Key 2 offers a feature-rich experience with some unique features exclusive to Blackberry.

**Conclusion**

The BlackBerry Key 2 is an interesting device that's sure to appeal to those who still prefer a physical keyboard. While it may not be for everyone, this device has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. With its impressive camera capabilities, efficient performance, and long battery life, the BlackBerry Key 2 is definitely worth considering for users looking for a more traditional smartphone experience.

wrong on a lot of you guys have been asking for coverage on the channel of the BlackBerry key one so here it is let's get in a box and I'll tell you a bit more about it so I have a quick look at the box keyboard we're going to be talking about this a lot on that is the key feature of it anyway so yeah we've got this nice picture in the background of the BlackBerry logo I like that secure smartphone some of the specs here we'll be talking about those a little later let's pop it out here nice in grieving fear of the BlackBerry t1 this is totally overkill completely but how I explained was that anyway let's pop this top open feels really nice the boxes and there it is so we're going to pop this out and we'll leave this aside for just a second while we see what else we get in the box so should be the usual stuff I believe this is the paperwork didn't quite eject at all Quick Start Guide and I think that's some safety information and as well as that you've got the power brick and this does support quick charge 3.0 there's a cable which is USB type 80 USB type-c and we also get some earphones in ear headset black so let's just go ahead and get hot so they are some blackberry branded earphones look quite nice and you get simply pastries with that too let's get rid of all of this and let's have a look at the device so first things first let's get rid of this I won't do that story and the back is wrong and there is the BlackBerry key one so in terms of the build itself you've got a metal frame with Gorilla Glass or up front and there's this sort of soft textured plastic on the back which it does give it a lot of grip feels pretty heavy I think it's about 180 grams so quite substantial in the hand I like this curve from the sides because that does make it a little bit more comfortable to hold so let's pile this on and I'll talk you through some of the features now the standout feature of key feature here is this physical keyboard this is one of the very few devices with the difficult people now there's a few key features a few cool features of this keyboard firstly the spacebar actually doubles up as a fingerprint scanner is in a quite accessible position so whichever hand you're using it with you can be able to get to that quite quickly and these keys are backlit but they're also cutting tables so what this means is that you can swipe left and right and scroll using just a keyboard so you can just do that over the keyboard rather than having to reach all the way up the screen and you can also assign shortcuts to a lot of these keys so for instance if you press down on the guide that's going to launch Instagram that for Facebook and you can customize these too now moving on to the display it's quite interesting because it's 4.5 inches but it's at a different aspect ratio to what we're used to it 3 by 2 and that gives it a resolution of 1080 by 1620 so think of it as a 1080p screen but with some element of that cut off because of this aspect ratio and the thinking behind the size of this is that the device is not too big I really wanted the previous blackberries had like kind of a like a slide-out keyboard so this is all physical here and generally when you're using a lot of your apps then you're not going to have to take up any of that real estate with a keyboard so this should still be quite usable for most situations up front this sensor and earpiece as well as an 8 megapixel front-facing camera at the top is a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack that looks like a secondary mic at the bottom there's a USB type-c connector one speaker as well as a microphone so that's just there for symmetry on the left hand side is a power button on the right hand side is SIM card tray this also has space walk in microsd cards so you can expand the storage you get 32 gigabytes here by default there's a body rocker as well as this special key and this is called a blackberry convenience key and you can assign this to one of many shortcuts so for example you can also launch Google Mail with this just by pressing this button and moving on to the back here is a large 12 megapixel camera now this has the same sensor as the Google pixel as you guys know the Google pixel was one of the best cameras last year bill is one of the best cameras about but you've got a different lens and different image processing one of the things that made ago the pixel so great was the image processing so it will be interesting to see how this complete if you do want to see a superset style camera comparison of this with another device maybe DSA eg-6 something then doesn't let me know in the comments and if this video has enough attention then I'll definitely look into doing that there's a dual LED flash here and then there's the BlackBerry logo as well as this soft texture which does give it some grip now in terms of the in terms we have the snapdragon 625 not got the flagship such as the 825 or the 18 one so this will be interesting to see how this form 3 gigabytes of ram and if you'd like to see a speed test of this with another device then also let me know and for the battery you've got a 3505 mAh battery so that's quite large and considering the fact that this has been smaller than regular screen and also a low resolution compared to many of the devices this should last you a very long time and from what I'm hearing right now this is very very good when it comes to battery life and you've also got the fast charging so you can pop it up quite quickly there's android version 7.1 here for anybody that thinks that you might saw have the black reading face no that's gone this is fully fledged Android you do have some blackberry features on here however and guys that is the BlackBerry key one what do you guys think of it drop me a comment below let me know your thoughts I think this is an interesting device it's obviously not for everyone but I think there is built on each of people who still like a physical keyboard
