Reviewing the Unearthly Trilogy by Cynthia Han
I think I'm getting a cold and I'm just really tired so I'm sorry my voice sounds funny it sounds funny to me I don't know if it sounds funny of you like my nose is stuffed I don't know what's going on really.
Hey everyone, it's Hayley, and today I'm going to be reviewing the Unearthly Trilogy by Cynthia Han. So, the first book in this trilogy is "Unearthly", but the second one that's not the second one - I hauled them up in the wrong order. The second one is actually "Hallowed" and then the third one is "Boundless".
So, the series tells the story of Claire Gardner who is a part angel. She as an angel is given this purpose which is her task in life that she is put on this earth to do. And this it's basically the story of her trying to fulfill her purpose and working towards it. That's basically the first book and then stuff gets crazy from there.
The writing of these books was good, it wasn't really anything spectacular I would say like nothing that I haven't seen before overall. I would say that these books are cliché they're really enjoyable don't get me wrong but if you're looking for something like epic and completely new and different they're not the books for you they're pretty clichéd they kind of take the angel thing and just run with it.
And, like, the romance in this book is the worst love triangle I think I've ever read. I hated the love triangle because I didn't really like either of the guys involved in it like I kind of did but I wasn't really that big of a fan. I don't know that was just personally me.
The characters were pretty good, I like I said I wasn't really thrilled by it. I think like Clara was pretty annoying at times I just kind of got very easily annoyed with her. I think the second book was my least favorite out of them in terms of plot I liked the plot of the first one and the last one was also weird in terms of plot actually now that I think about it and I remember things I didn't like the last one in terms of plot either.
I think that one's my least favorite it just got weird like really unexpected weird. I don't know personally I didn't like the plot of the last one I liked the first two more the second the first one was definitely my favorite. The second one kind of went a little bit downhill um it also took an unexpected turn but that one was normal.
I guess I don't want to say that the third plot twist is like abnormal but I just didn't really like it I felt like it was just weird and just kind of thrown in there just to kind of put a plot twist in there if that makes any sense at all.
I don't really have too much to say about this series because for me it was just kind of a three star series. I wasn't that thrilled and three stars for me and my rating system which I'll probably do a video on soon. Three stars for me is just average and that's kind of what these books were. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed them like if you're looking for a fun read that you're going to enjoy I would say to pick these up because they are fun they're enjoyable it's just that they're not like just great for me I don't know.
I'm now saying management liked them I gave all of the books three out of five stars. I may have said that before I don't remember but yeah I would recommend them for a quick fund read um like I said they're good nothing spectacular so I hope you guys enjoyed this review and I will see you guys in the next one.
