The addition of the power button to the right side, just below the volume rocker, makes it easy to access the device with one hand. This feature is particularly convenient for users who prefer to use their device with one hand.

it comes to documentation etc which should be missing from our box so first thing inside the box is the htc one max i'm going to put that to the side and take a look at what else is inside the box and it should be a usual bit of accessories first thing is the usb to micro usb cable pretty standard the wall charger is a collapsible sort of wall charger so depending on what country you're from you'll have different wall chargers the earphones are flat cable style earphones 3.5 millimeter headphone jack is not gold plated you do have an inline microphone and a push button to take an end calls and you do get additional ear tips depending on what your ear size is you can change them around now let's take a look at the device from the front it looks exactly like the htc one but it is much bigger and you can quickly indicate a couple of differences between the two devices on the back you have a fingerprint sensor which i'm going to talk about in a little bit detail and on the front you have a larger 5.9 inch display which is a full hd display really fantastic looking display on this device the back shell opens up and i'm going to show you that in just a second but before we get into more i would like to demonstrate is the new fingerprint sensor so you go into the settings panel and then the fingerprint scan option you need to introduce one of your fingers to ensure that you can unlock the device with the fingerprint scanner so you need to scan your finger a couple of times before it completely recognizes your finger and then you can use your finger to unlock the device or launch applications now htc has limited this to a maximum of three fingers right now and they say that they can upgrade the software to then later on take on more fingers if the users so need you can also set in a password in case your fingerprint does not work which is a great backup feature now unlike apple's technology the fingerprint is not stored on a secure part of the chip but it is stored on board the kind of algorithms that htc uses cannot be used by anyone else so it's a completely different system they don't save your fingerprint they just say features of the fingerprint to unlock the and we are pretty happy with the overall initial performance of the device now once you're setting up blinkfeed you can either connect to facebook to populate content or you need to do it manually so once you do it manually you can select a bunch of topics from the pre-configured topics the pre-configured categories you can also search for a category so you can create custom topics for things that do not exist in the existing category so you can search for anything like dolphins or table tennis and it will start to populate content based on your requirements which is really really great for people who have varied hobbies or interests now another great feature of the htc one max's new blinkfeed interface is that you can subscribe to feeds from websites as well so you can quickly add a website with a feed indicator to the blink feed and then access it uh just by pulling in the blinkfeed interface from the left and then quickly tapping on your subscription to see that interface or to see that content on the blinkfeed interface now scrolling to the right of the blinkfeed interface gives you the standard android dashboards or home screens that you can customize by adding widgets changing wallpapers etc you can also add apps and shortcuts as per your requirement you can also change the home screen from blinkfeed to a static screen in case you don't like the blinkfeed interface to be your home screen you can add up to seven home screens that are different from the blinkfeed interface if you go into about device you won't be able to see android 4.3 since this is a restricted device but this device is running android 4.3 along with htc sense 5.5 along with increasing the pixel size of the htc ultra pixel camera on the htc one max the company has also added interesting software elements to the camera application allowing you to do a lot more with the camera than what you could on the htc one you also have new features such as the gif creator which allows you to create gifs on the go on your device and then share with your friends you also have new video highlights and a lot of new features that allow you to play around with the camera a lot more new enhanced of new elements such as anti-shake hdr panorama etc which were also available on the htc one but have been enhanced for the htc one max htc is also really proud of this new scribble interface that they've added now this application allows you to basically use a pre-made template or create your own to create a scribble sort of an s note take on from htc but htc says that you don't need a stylus or an accessory that you can lose in fact all you need is your finger to create interesting elements or interesting notes on the go on your device although htc does sell a stylus which can be bought separately that goes along with the device quite well aesthetically the htc one max looks even better than the htc one and the fact that htc's added the power button to the right just below the volume rocker makes it convenient to access the button from either your left or your right hand and makes one-handed use really easy what means to be seen is how htc will price this product once it comes to
