steamiest books of 2019 (so far)

**A Fan's Paradise: Exploring the World of Fandom**

I am absolutely obsessed with a good bed-sharing trope, and overall, the whole book is just filled with every other fanfiction trope that you could possibly think of. Especially that just goddamn amazing mutual pining at that I think we all really longed for and traditionally published books when Drew and Trent do get together it is explosively hot and I literally could not put this book down this was one of the best page-turners on my list so if you're looking for something that reads really quickly that is going to make your heart melt definitely recommend this one. Also, I have read the second book in the series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first book, and I like that the characters that are on the side, guess the side characters of the first two books have their own books in this series which I really enjoy. I really like when an author explores side characters give us on their own relationships because it just makes you feel at home and cozy because they're characters that you already know.

**A Warning: Dark and Taboo Territory Ahead**

Now, we're gonna get into dark and taboo territory, so if you're not really into age gaps or don't know just dark romance in general, these next two books probably aren't for you. And you can probably click off this video okay now that they're gone, let's talk about the good stuff.

**The First Book: "Welcome to the Dark Side" by John Darling**

This book is about a girl named Lulu who is saved at a church shooting by an older biker named Zeus. She is I believe 8 or 10 at the time, and Zeus is an adult man. Shortly after the shooting, Zeus is put in prison for a crime that he committed, and while he is in prison, Lou writes to Zeus, and they strike up a sort of Penn Palace situation. I'm a super big sucker for pen pals, and although I think it really worked well in this story, you get to see them have this sort of platonic relationship at the beginning, and it kind of progressed as Lulu discovers that she can really confide in Zeus unlike some of the other guys in her life. Zeus is released from prison when I believe Lulu is about 17, and their romantic relationship kind of starts from there. This is obviously a taboo age gap romance, it also has the kind of dark themes of AMC or motorcycle club romance, so if you're not really into that this probably is not going to be the book for you. But I love the way that the age gap relationship is handled, the steamy scenes were quite steamy, and if you're a big fan of hCAP romances, you definitely need to give this one a try.

**The Hottest 'Anarchist' Book: "Killswitch" by Penelope Douglas**

I am a dumbass for recommending the third book in a series perhaps, but nothing is going to stand in my way of recommending you the hottest 'anarchist' book that I might have ever read. So, this book is about Damon and Winter, and they are friends to enemies, two lovers, romance. Unfortunately, I couldn't go into gory detail about the plot of this book, but it is set both in high school and after high school, and you get to see a lot about Damon's past and a lot about Winter's past, how they were friends in the past, and how they are trying to remedy their relationship in the present. I really really liked this book, I think Penelope Douglas's ability to make me care for a character that I loathed for two books is quite incredible. I would recommend the first two books in this series, although I think the third is really the strong suit of the series, seeing the culmination of Damon's shitty behavior, and watching him grow into a character that you actually root for it's kind of amazing. I didn't know how she did it, but she did a fantastic job, and in general, I just really liked the kind of guide that Damon turned into in the third book, the way he treats Winter is just back tacular, and their steamy scenes again were just perfection. Amazing ten out of ten.

**Recommendations**

I would recommend checking out the hashtag series by Cambria, especially "Welcome to the Dark Side" and "Killswitch". If you're looking for something that reads really quickly and is going to make your heart melt, definitely check out "Welcome to the Dark Side". And if you don't have issues with dark themes, I think you'll enjoy "Killswitch".

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello and welcome back to my channel today I'm going to be talking about the CVS books of 2019 this is follow-up to the similar video that I did last year that one was titled sexiest books of 2019 I had to change the title due to monetization reasons but it's gonna be the same kind of video that I did last year in which I share my favorite romance books on an arbitrary scale from real soft to real hardcore so stay tuned for some smut reads and smutty recommendations so starting on the nice and gentle and we have guava or way direct bite acid err this is a third book in a series of standalone so you don't have to read the previous two books to enjoin this book however I think that you will end up enjoying the characters and the character relationships just a little bit more the heroine in this book is introduced in the first book in the series and each subsequent book has like okay I just I'm ready for her time to shine I'm ready for it and in this book we finally get that so this is a historical romance about a girl named penny who is a young spinster it was a knack for rehabilitating animals that kind of gets her into some trouble when her neighbor ends up buying the house next door his intention is to renovate the home and sell it to some kind of new money to people and make a profit on it the issue is that penny is keeping these rehabilitated animals in her home and that is going to hurt the resale value so penny and her neighbor Gabriel end up coming together to find homes for these animals but along the way Loven happens I think the reason I enjoyed this book so much is because even though penny is a little bit of a Wallflower even though she's kind of shunned by high society she really really craves romance and whenever she meets Gabriel and kind of starts falling for him she is the one to initiate all of their sexual encounters I found this to be really fun and refreshing especially in historical romance and in general I just think that the steamy scenes in this book were particularly hot so if you're looking for a fun feminist historical romance this is definitely one that you need to check out the next book on my list is for readers who are craving a new adult college romance and also some lady lovin and it is out on good behavior by Dahlia Adler this book calls Frankie who is pansexual and really open with her sexuality she's very unabashed and she hooks up a lot of people and I loved seeing that in the opening of this book someone who is just so unafraid to be themselves I loved her either main character and her love interest Samara is equally as amazing she is the daughter of a southern Republican senator I believe and she has to grapple with the fact that she is lesbian while Frankie is also grappling with the fact that she might want to actually settle down the Sam Frankie have to struggle with the fact that if she decides to settle down a Sam team is gonna have to come out to her parents and Frankie feels almost responsible for the fact that Sam is going to have to do that so there's a lot of conflict in this book and I don't want to like make it sound like it's all dark there is a lot of sexy times that happen in these books I think over the past year I've tried reading a lot more female feamel romance in the past I was reading a ton of male male romance I still do but I wanted to kind of expand my horizons of what I do read and think that I found about female female romances is that none of them quite had the sexual tension and the physicality that I was looking for in a lot of straight romances or male male romances we get this sort of physicality behind the eyes of one of our main characters like we get to see them physically attracted to the other person and I think and female female romances it seems like the physical attraction is sort of shied away from in this book it was so hot hearing how salmon Frankie thought of each other the body parts that they were into just the visceral physical reaction that they had to each other so when they finally did get together when the angst was finally solved it was really really hot so this is definitely one of my favorite female female romances of all time and it's definitely one of my sexiest books of 2019 the next book on my list will come it's no surprise if you have been watching my channel for the past few months it is the guy on the right by Kate Stewart and I know you guys probably want me to shut the up about this book but this book makes me blush like no other and I had to include it on this list so this book is about a college band geek named Theo of falling for the mega hottie but the bad taste in guys laney they both get shit-faced at a party after kind of going through it respectively and they end up spilling their guts to each other both literally and figuratively and they decide to give the whole male/female friendship a try I think what worked so well about this book for me is that you get to see the relationship between the two characters develop from the very beginning I think in most books you get either insta-love or you're getting enemies to lovers or friends to Lover's that has a lot of backstory that is sort of baked in in the very beginning you know they've been friends for a while and now we get to see them become lovers whereas this book you really get to see their relationship unfold from day one being strangers to friends to Lover's and that really builds the angst in this book and really makes it hot when they get together this book also had a really really sweet happily ever after at the end which I'm a super big sucker for I like grand gestures I like proposals and if you're that sort of thing think you're definitely going to enjoy this book this next book is for hos a fanfiction and the vegetarian trope and that is junkie by cambrie Hubert this book follows drew who is a wannabe pro racer and Trent who is a college football player and a frat star so they're both in France for a while and they find solace in their friendship because they both have bad relationships with their respective families and they really they don't I wouldn't say they think of each other as brothers but they definitely lean on each other in the hard times in the prologue you see one of the guys carrying the other into this house to share bed with him because he's shit-faced at a party and he needed his friend to pick him up it was very sweet I love a good bed sharing trope and overall the whole book is just filled with every other fanfiction Trump that you could possibly think of especially that just goddamn amazing mutual pining at that I think we all really longed for and traditionally published books and when steer clear of this book and/or read the trigger warnings before going into this book that being said I really enjoyed it and if you don't have issues with dark themes this is definitely a book that I think you're gonna enjoy so that is hit thank you guys so much for watching and the comments down below please let me know what you work sexiest books of 2019 where I would love to know but that's it
