Here Are the BEST Apps for Apple CarPlay!

**My Favorite Apple Carplay Applications**

If you're like me and spend most of your time behind the wheel, you're probably looking for ways to make your driving experience more enjoyable. One way to do this is by using Apple Carplay, which allows you to access your favorite apps on the go. As someone who's heavily invested in the world of audiobooks and podcasts, I've got to say that Audible is one of my personal favorites when it comes to carplay applications.

Audible is a great choice for anyone who loves listening to books while driving, and with its seamless integration into Carplay, you can easily access your entire library of titles without having to touch the screen. Another useful app I like to use is Apple Podcasts, which is still one of my go-to podcasting apps despite the existence of third-party alternatives like Overcast.

Overcast is actually a great choice for anyone who wants a more feature-rich podcasting experience on Carplay. With its easy-to-use interface and features like chapter art and adjustable playback speed, it's perfect for listening to your favorite shows while driving. And speaking of third-party apps, I've also got to mention Pocket Casts, which is another popular option among podcast enthusiasts.

But what really sets Overcast apart from the rest is its Carplay integration, which is simply top-notch. With features like easily switching between chapters and adjusting playback speed, it's easy to navigate your podcasts with ease while driving. And let me tell you, having a dedicated app like Overcast for Apple Podcasts is a game-changer.

**Sports Fans Rejoice**

If sports are your thing, then you're in luck because there are some amazing Carplay apps out there that cater specifically to fans of the MLB and NBA. For example, I've got to mention the MLB At Bat app, which allows you to access live games and on-demand content from your favorite teams. And with its seamless integration into Carplay, you can easily watch your games while driving without having to get out your phone or credit card.

But it's not just baseball fans who are covered – NBA fans also have a dedicated app that lets them access live games, highlights, and other exclusive content on the go. And with its Carplay compatibility, you can enjoy all of this from the comfort of your own vehicle. It's a great way to stay up-to-date on the latest scores and news while driving.

**Navigation Made Easy**

When it comes to navigation, I've got to give a shout-out to Apple Maps, which has been getting some serious updates in recent years. With features like multi-stop routing and split-screen mode, Apple Maps is finally starting to live up to its promise of being a top-notch navigation app. And with Carplay compatibility built right into the app, you can easily access your routes and destinations without having to juggle multiple screens.

But I've also got to give a mention to Waze, which is another popular navigation app that's seamlessly integrated into Carplay. With its user-friendly interface and real-time traffic updates, Waze is perfect for anyone who wants to avoid congested roads while driving. And with features like police and traffic alerts, you'll always be in the know when it comes to road conditions.

**Browser Heaven**

If you're a fan of browsing on your iPhone or iPad, then you've got to check out Brave, which is now available as a Carplay app. With its dedicated browser version, Brave offers a secure and private way to browse the web while driving – and with features like YouTube video playback, you can even save those videos to playlists for later.

But what's really cool about the Brave Carplay app is how seamlessly it integrates into your driving experience. With features like audio-only mode, you can easily listen to podcasts or audiobooks without having to watch any videos on the screen. And with its built-in navigation capabilities, you can even get turn-by-turn directions right from within the app.

**Fuel Up**

Finally, I've got to mention a new Carplay app category that's been added in iOS 16: fuel apps. With companies like Chevron leading the charge, it's easy to see why this is going to be a game-changer for drivers on-the-go. With features like pay-at-the-pump convenience and fueling station navigation, these apps make it easy to get the most out of your vehicle without having to get out or use your phone.

The Chevron app, which I've had the chance to try out, is a great example of what this new category has to offer. With its seamless integration into Carplay and features like pay-at-the-pump convenience, you can easily fill up on gas without having to get out of the car. And with its built-in navigation capabilities, you can even find the closest Chevron station to your current location.

Overall, these are just a few of my favorite Apple Carplay applications that I use on a daily basis. Whether it's audiobooks, podcasts, sports, or fueling up, there's something out there for everyone – so go ahead and give them a try!
