Spec and Design of the Speciale

The interior of the car is going to be very similar to my LT Coupe, with an Alcantara finish throughout. The exterior will feature all carbon fiber options, as well as a mix between black and stone grey embossed leather for the seats and trim. This gray leather will serve as a nice highlight against the purple color scheme. For added flair, the car will also feature a few other MSO bits that will be revealed in due course.

For the most part, the design of the Speciale is being replicated from my LT Coupe, which I absolutely love. The interior features will remain largely unchanged, with gray seats and stitching, as well as black embroidery on the seats. Additionally, the handling and powertrain toggles in the center console will be painted a matching silver color to complement the overall aesthetic.

To further enhance the carbon fiber look, the car's exterior components will include vents, door mirrors, and a variety of other accents that are sure to make this Spider stand out from the crowd. With its sleek design and attention to detail, the Speciale is shaping up to be an absolute showstopper.

The Wheels: A 50/50 Decision

One aspect of the car's design that has yet to be finalized is the color of the wheels. Initially, it was decided to order the car with silver wheels, but there's a strong possibility that the wheels will end up painted stealth black. The owner notes that this is an easy change to make and can be done at home with a simple "posh wash," so they're not too concerned about making a decision on this one just yet.

However, it's worth noting that some fans of the car may get excited about the wheel color being changed, so we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out. For now, the owner is leaving the final decision up in the air, but rest assured that they're keeping an eye on the situation and will make a call when the time is right.

The Coupe: Still Part of the Plan

One question that's been on everyone's mind lately is whether or not the coupe will be sold to help pay for the new Spider. The answer is simple: no, it won't be. The owner loves their LT Coupe too much and has a wealth of plans in store for it.

In fact, the coupe and Spider will likely travel together for a bit before one of them makes way for the other. Perhaps someone will make an offer on one of them, or maybe the owner simply decides it's time to pass one of them along. Whatever happens, rest assured that both cars are staying put for now.

A Brief Update from the Owner

As we wrap up this update, the owner mentions a few additional details that might be of interest to fans. First and foremost, the car is still in the process of being finalized after its debut at Geneva. The owner notes that they've been busy with post-Geneva content, including updates on the FF and the 675LT Spider.

Additionally, it's been confirmed that the SHMEE shop will be relaunching soon, offering fans the chance to purchase exclusive designs and new cars. This is sure to be a welcome development for fans of the brand, and we'll have more information on this in due course.

i hope you've been enjoying that coverage but there are two main things i would like to talk to you about today two things i'm very excited about one of which is my color choice for my mclaren 675 lt spider i've been teasing a little bit with coverage and things i've been posting on social media but i'm going to show you that shortly and then later on run you over the whole spec for my new car which i'm obviously very much looking forward to and the second is answering about the ff now i haven't actually posted anything with it for quite a while now so i think some of you probably thought i'd sold it well i definitely haven't it's here and i absolutely love it and we've done a little bit of a tweak with the exhaust which makes it sound insane so i'm actually at topaz detailing right now because we're being sort of discussing something quite fun you probably know my lt has a full body sort of paint protection film coverage on it um we're going to do something similar with the ff it has some sort of film that came on the car a couple of years ago but we want to do a better job and make the car look absolutely perfect so we're going to work on that and we've got a fun little idea that we're going to be shooting with as well so that's going to come in the very near future and so i'm looking forward to sharing that with you with this car and also some rather special things that are inside so i'm very much looking forward to that um you probably know if you've been following my stuff for a while that this car is a sort of fairly bespoke paint job it's ferrari lemon blue there aren't very many cars oh that sounded like the noise of a ferrari specialist just starting up inside there's a very loud plane flying overhead right now it's had an a380 up there somewhere i can't quite see on the camera screen noisy noisy um so i'm not gonna waste any time let's get straight to this um and i'm going to show you the color for my 675 lt spider so i've got the samples lurking here in the boot so one of these this is the lt spider and the other is my lt coupe so let's show you this first i mean you know this color mso cerulean blue the color i absolutely love the metallic light blue very similar to the wrap i had my car in before pearlescent with some very bright blue highlights and darker blue as it falls around the edges so this is a color that i absolutely love um i've seen loads of memes and fun things about the color so i hope you guys like it too very special place in my heart for that color so i've also had another color that's been fairly special to me um in the past up to now um you probably remember i used to have an r8 spider my rh spider was from the factory in audi's sepang blue which is a very nice blue slightly pearlescent purple color but i always wanted that car in a very specific color which was purple so from the minute i first decided i was going to order the 675lt spider i decided it was going to be a purple lt spider so i can tell you for the first time that that is the choice for this car let me come around and show you in the sample box here this is it this is mso orion purple my color of choice for my mclaren 675 lt spider now these two cars i'm going to have them together at least four apart so i think the colors naturally light blue and purple are going to look wonderful together i hope it comes across right on the camera it's a color that can look different of course in different lights sort of fades around towards a black where the color the light drops off the side of it with some very bright purple highlights now let's talk about something pretty cool about this color i'm hoping you can see on the video but the metallic flake is blue and you've probably guessed there's a reason behind that blue the metallic flake is the blue color of cerulean blue so this technically i think i can still call it blue crew it is part of my blue crew except it's mso orion purple with the blue sparkling flakes so this is a color that we devised and i developed with mclaren with mso so when you talk to amazon mclaren special operations you can sort of bespoke a color create it how you want so you start off with a small square sample you develop that decide whether you want it lighter darker and go through a few iterations and ultimately create your own color so this is cerulean blue is an existing color a ryan purple is just for me um that of course meant i got to name it so there is a reason behind orion purple a reason that was sort of created uh came up with by someone very special to me and that is that the orion nebula stars in the sky are a very bright set of stars and basically they sort of carry a purple glow to them so we created this name that fits with the color works perfectly and needless to say i'm very very excited to have the purple lt spider alongside the blue 675 lt coupe coupe i should probably say being british so there we go that's the big announcement that i've been waiting for let's talk about the next thing then the ff so the exhaust on the ff everybody's asked me if i'm going to change it you might know i have an ipe exhaust on my cayman gt4 well the exhaust system for the ff is a big deal it's all the way through of course from the v12 at the front all the way through to the back so it's quite a big operation to install it and it's very expensive there's one thing i wanted to try first which was opening the valves so of course it's a valve system with flaps that you can open that you hear opening and closing um to keep it quiet at low revs and all that sort of stuff so basically you can fairly easily open them up just as you can in other cars um f-types r8s you can always play with the valves so we've opened up the valves and it makes quite a big difference so i'm just going to play you a clip of the cold start of this car earlier today as you heard it's pretty mental that v12 is one of the best sounding cars ever and now it's even better and the sort of noise it makes when it rumbles away and you just sort of lightly move is insane so ff valve's open spot on that's just as loud as i need this car to be and i'm very much looking forward to getting back on the road with it and driving a lot now i'm going to show you one other thing that i've done that's quite fun um focuses on these two colors um i was down at dub customs to do those uh that modification to the valves and as you probably know they are a wrapping company so while there we decided to wrap my ferrari key now this is the old vinyl that we wrapped my twelve cn and morgan three-wheeler a while back and the color is exactly a match to the uh blue cerulean blue and then just because we were thinking it would be fun to do we wrapped the back in a purple that's almost identical to the orion purple so uh yeah i'm a little bit of a douche bag doing that to my ferrari key i apologize um and the other key is red but actually the other ferrari key i'm going to paint body colored blue to match because i rather want it blue i'm exactly the blue and this is just wrap so i can take it off anytime i just thought it'd be fun for now i mean it's a complete joke to make my ferrari key blue and purple hence why it's not perfect because the key's a bit worn remember the car's a couple of years old um so yeah i thought that would be entertaining i'm just gonna take this out again given that you're gonna see a lot of this color in the future i i love it i love it so much and i think it's i think it's brave to order convertible in purple but you only live once and it's awesome um so while i'm here let me quickly show you these got some uh pilates driving shoes so thanks to the the guys there of course awesome shoes very comfortable um yeah like those a lot um and yeah so what else can i tell you about i mean exciting things coming up content in the near future of course like i mentioned we're gonna be back here at topaz filming something pretty awesome that i'm looking forward to showing you to do with ppf and how it works i've got a lot of event type stuff coming up goodwood 74 annual members meeting which is a great event down at the goodwood motor circuit um i've also got something fun i'm doing with lotus now you might have seen my fellow youtubers james mr jw paul supercars of london sam seeing through glass those guys all joined lotus driving academy and trained to get their racing licenses and i'm going to be doing the same so i'm very excited to have my racing license hopefully i've got to do the test first of course um so that's going to be fun opening up many more opportunities in the future and i'll be doing that with seb said delaney who's actually up visiting me at the moment which kind of brings me on to another thing that's quite fun so this car being here last night in my garage in london was actually the very first time i have had my three cars together at my home in london the lt the gt4 and the ff for the first time which given i bought this car five months ago just more than five months ago from when you saw this video it was in monaco then the lt was away for a bit i let the gt4 to my dad for a bit then the ff went away for some more things to be done and i've basically been out of the country and i didn't actually have enough garage spaces so this has been the first time that all three cars have been back together in the uk which given it's been well it's over five months now from when you're seeing this video to when i actually bought this car it's utterly ridiculous but it's very cool and also seb is here with me in london so his little lotus is down in my garage as well because i've got enough space i've got four spaces fortunately which is very very convenient so lots of exciting things to come it sounds like um with all of this stuff let me tell you a little bit more about spec of course so to go with my purple the interior of the car is going to be very similar to my lt i going to do carbon fiber instrument cluster with shift lights i love that so much i didn't have that on the coupe so that's a new addition but all the carbon fiber exterior parts everything you probably expect me to do this sort of exterior carbon upgrade pack the vents the door mirrors so it's gonna look pretty cool i'm very excited the one thing i haven't decided is the wheel color so i've ordered the car with the silver wheels whereas of course i have my coupe painted with the stealth black finish to the wheels um and i might make them stealth afterwards but i figured i would just order them silver and see how they look and make a decision then before i sort of bring the car out so that's 50 50 that could go either way i think i might end up making them stealth you'll probably all get very bothered about this but it's just the color of the wheels they're very easy to change and i can do that with posh wash of course so i don't need to worry about that too much at this stage so the spec i might go over in full detail i might wait until i've got the car um on which point everybody's asking am i selling the coupe to get the spider no at the moment i'm planning to have both together now obviously long term keeping both cars is a little bit crazy um both from the investment point of view um amount of money involved but also i can't use both cars but in the short term over summer my aim is to have the coupe traveling around some places and maybe the spider in the south of france i don't really know fly backwards and forwards i'll just see what happens basically but the two cars will be together for a bit and then down the line maybe somebody will make me an offer on one of them i can't refuse maybe i'll just decide it's time to put one up for sale so we'll see what happens with that i'm not really going to jump to any conclusions at the moment but i certainly don't want to sell the coupe yet because i love it a lot and i've got plenty more planned with it of
