WiFi Power Strip with Multiple Smart Plugs - Works with Voice

**Extension Plug Review: A Convenient and Voice-Controlled Power Solution**

I recently had the opportunity to test out an extension plug that can be controlled using voice commands, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. The device is named "extension plug" and can be activated by simply saying "Alexa switch on extension plug." As you can see, this simple command was enough to power everything up, making it easy to get started with the device.

One of the features that I found particularly useful about this extension plug is its ability to work seamlessly with voice assistants like Alexa. By saying "Alexa switch off printer," for example, I was able to quickly and easily turn off my printer without having to physically interact with the device. This feature alone has made a significant difference in my daily routine.

In addition to its voice-control capabilities, the extension plug also comes with two standard USB ports that can be used to charge mobile devices or other small appliances. While these ports may not be extremely fast, they are still a welcome feature and can be useful for keeping devices charged on the go.

Another notable feature of this extension plug is its ability to remember the state of each device connected to it even when the power goes out. This means that if you have multiple devices plugged into the extension plug and the power goes out, they will automatically turn off when the power comes back on. This can be a significant advantage in households with frequent power outages.

**Using the Extension Plug with Google Home**

I also had the opportunity to test out the extension plug with my Google Home device, which I was pleasantly surprised to find that it worked seamlessly. By saying "Okay Google switch off tube light," for example, I was able to turn off my tube lights without having to physically interact with them. This feature has made a significant difference in my home's energy efficiency and convenience.

**The App and Automation Features**

One of the most impressive features of this extension plug is its companion app, which provides users with a range of automation options and scheduling capabilities. With the app, you can automate tasks such as turning on lights or appliances when you enter or leave a room, or schedule devices to turn off automatically after a set period of time. This has made it easy for me to create customized routines that fit my daily needs.

However, I did notice one flaw in the extension plug's design: there is no built-in timer feature that can be used to automate tasks based on specific times of day or schedules. Additionally, when I tested out the countdown feature, I noticed that it would reset after each use, which can be a bit inconvenient.

**The Verdict**

Overall, I'm very impressed with the extension plug's performance and features. While it may not have some of the advanced features that other smart plugs on the market offer, its simplicity and convenience make it an excellent choice for those looking for a straightforward voice-controlled power solution. With its ability to work seamlessly with both Alexa and Google Home devices, I highly recommend this extension plug to anyone looking to simplify their home's energy management.

**Stats and Power Consumption**

Unfortunately, one feature that the extension plug lacks is built-in stats on power consumption. While some smart plugs offer detailed statistics on how much energy each device is using, the extension plug does not offer this information. This can be a significant drawback for those who want to monitor their energy usage and optimize their home's energy efficiency.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, I was impressed with the performance and features of this extension plug, particularly its ability to work seamlessly with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Home devices. While it may not have some of the advanced features that other smart plugs on the market offer, its simplicity and convenience make it an excellent choice for those looking for a straightforward voice-controlled power solution.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys this is ranjit and in this video we'll be doing the review for this uh cisco smart wi-fi what do you say power strip and uh a couple of months ago i had posted a video on the vipro smart plug you guys liked it so i was looking for what he said power strip which was smart so i got this i purchased this a couple of days back using it and i particularly like this one because uh as you can see we have one two three plugs and even usb ports and you can individually actually control each of them uh via voice or the app so it's like essentially three plugs in this uh strip and yes uh you can also control the usb so let's have a closer look at this one now and as you can see this comes inside this box i purchased this from amazon it was for about 2700 i'll leave the link there is also one more product very similar to this one by vipro also but that was for for about 3500 i'll also leave the link of that one in the description uh so let me give you a physical overview first then i'll actually show you uh how this works and how am i actually using it and as you can see right now if you look at it this looks like a normal power strip uh we have four usb ports uh so you can charge your smartphones etc even charge my tablet but guys these are just normal uh two amps so don't expect any fast charging with this one uh it will take your phone anywhere from about three to five hours it's the regular uh slow charging and we have three ports uh so you can attach three different devices to this one uh but if you notice uh on this one we also have uh this one so if it's an overload or something this will pop out it didn't happen to me uh but the rated uh what is uh uh wattage is 2500 watts on this one and it's a six amp switch as you can see uh you'll see only one switch over here so if you want to switch on everything you can just press this and as you can see everything is now switched on and we also have led lights over here and one thing i don't like is that if you just press it from here it switches on the entire strip or just switches off in the entire stuff you can't individually control it so if you want to do that you have to actually use the app uh this is the cisco app that you get and if i go over here as you can see now it is showing us uh all of these and i can initially now control it for example uh if i just press this this is switched off the switched off this is switched off this is it so you can instantly do this and this also works via voice uh very well in fact it integrates with alexa as well as google home please show you there's how it's working in my office now so guys let's test it and actually i've placed the plug hidden behind here this is the one that we saw so let's uh do uh some of the commands as i've told you and uh it works both with alexa as well as google uh home but i mostly use it with alexa so let's see and let's uh the first plug i have connected to this uh printer so let's switch it on alexa switch on printer and as you can see the printer got switched on and uh i have also actually connected if you notice i'll just remove back this tube lights are also connected by that so i can just say alexa switch off tube light so as you can see it became dull alexa switch on tube light and i've also connected this power strip to this one additional one so that i don't want to keep this what do you see all these laptops uh keep charging all the time so i've connected that also so i can just use the command and i've named it as extension plug so i can just say for example i'll say alexa switch on extension plug alexa switch on extension plug and as you can see this got switched on and it powers everything now so i can just say that word easily and for example let's now switch off this printer alexa switch off printer as you can see so the voice functionality works apart from that uh we uh you also saw that usb ports on that ah they are not very fast just two amps but you can use that and right now it's switched on so i can just say i've named it as usb charger so i can just say alexa switch on usb charger and as you can see it started and i've charged this tablet even the fold with this one yes it's not the super fastest charger just a 2 amp it takes a little bit of while but yes it is charging and yes it also works with the google home okay google switch off tube light okay okay google switch on tube light all right so as you can see it works even with google uh home assistant so guys so this was the power strip so what are my thoughts about that one and as you can see you get this app so you don't have to use lxr google home but i think so the beauty of these applications is that you can control it via voice so you would need alexa or a google home for that you can obviously use this app and it also has some options here to automate stuff and it also has some timers on this one you can schedule it obviously let's say you have connected one of those to a particular device that won't you want it to be switched on at a particular time frame and switch off automatically you can do that with the schedules and we also have the countdown uh timer i like it but there's one flaw in this one that was not the case on the vipro smart plug for example i had set the countdown to four hours and it worked after four hours it shut off that device but next time when i ran that device the counter was reset so it's not remembering the state of the counter so that's a small thing that i have noticed on this one apart from that other functionality is working and i also like the fact that it's very quick to react for example uh let me show you there is almost no delay when you click on a thing for example if i am going to click this so this should come and as you can see it's instant generally in some of the smart plugs i've seen a delay of one to three seconds but here it is almost instant as you can see so that is what i like but again there are some things that i do not like with this uh plug for example there is no stats of power consumption for example in the vipro smart plug i'll leave the link of that one there it actually used to generate the power stats how much power was being consumed by a particular device that functionality is certainly not there on this one i feel that's a big missed opportunity uh the next uh thing is again the usb ports yes these work but these are again standard two amps so it's just us what do you say uh normal regular slow charger that you're getting so again if you are charging your mobile phones or tablets you will have to leave it for hours and hours anywhere from four to five hours depending upon your mobile this is not a con this is actually a very good thing and i think so every smart plug should have that and some of the smart plugs actually do not have that and i think so in an indian scenario this is very very important and thankfully uh this one has that it remembers the state uh which uh device is on and off even if the power goes off and when it comes back it resumes to that if it doesn't have that this can be a major issue in india because we have frequent power outages um what happens is when many of the smart plugs and smart bulbs is that whenever power comes out after a power brake it just switches on everything that's not the case with this one this actually is remembering the state of the power even though the power loss and it comes back so that way it's good but again it's not a perfect product but i feel it's a good product uh it's working uh very well with alexa and even with google home uh so if you were looking for a smart plug but you always wanted to have multiple plugs in one device then yes you can have a look at this one again guys that's it for now for this uh review and guys if you're still not subscribed to the youtube channel hit that subscribe button and guys if you're planning to buy this one i'll leave the link uh from where i bought that is amazon in the description anyways guys that's it for now thanks for watching take care catch you laterhi guys this is ranjit and in this video we'll be doing
