**In-Depth Review of the Mercedes C-Class Coupe**
If you click up there on the top right-hand corner of the screen, you'll see a car that should appear now, and you can watch our in-depth video review of the infotainment system. The Mercedes C-Class Coupe has undergone some significant changes to its cabin design, but the overall layout remains largely the same. With a generous amount of storage space under the front seats and cup holders throughout the cabin, this car is perfect for daily use.
**Storage Space and Features**
There's a big glove box, which can fit larger items, and the door bins are large enough to hold one-and-a-half-liter bottles. The cubby hole on the passenger side of the center console has disappeared, replaced by a storage compartment that's slightly smaller than before. While this change may seem minor at first, it does make accessing the cup holder in the front seat slightly more difficult.
**Driving Dynamics**
When it comes to driving dynamics, the Mercedes C-Class Coupe is where things get really interesting. With its sporty design and agile handling, this car feels right at home on the road. The soundproofing is excellent, making the ride feel incredibly comfortable, even in the sportiest of trim levels. The suspension has a perfect balance between comfort and handling, ensuring that the C-Class Coupe can handle both twisty roads and everyday driving with ease.
**Petrol Engines: A Hidden Gem**
Most people who buy this car will opt for a diesel engine, and rightly so – they offer excellent fuel economy. However, if you're willing to spend an extra £900, opting for the petrol 2.1-liter engine is definitely worth it. Not only does it produce more power than the diesel, but it's also quieter on the motorway. The C-Class Coupe with a petrol engine can go from 0-62mph in just seven seconds, making it quick enough to keep up with most of its rivals.
**Transmission and Handling**
One feature that sets the Mercedes apart is its 9-speed automatic transmission. It's smooth, responsive, and perfect for both everyday driving and spirited performances on the road. The C-Class Coupe also handles incredibly well, thanks in part to its electric steering column. This innovative technology allows the driver to exit the car with ease, while also providing more precise control over the vehicle.
**Safety Features**
In addition to its impressive handling and comfortable ride, the Mercedes C-Class Coupe comes equipped with a range of safety features that make it feel like a technological marvel. The car's emergency services button is linked to a smartphone app, which can help locate the vehicle in case you misplace it. Additionally, there's an optional reversing camera system that hides underneath the badge when not in use.
**Additional Features and Quirks**
One feature that might raise an eyebrow or two is the "steering wheel-mounted" navigation buttons. While these may seem unnecessary at first glance, they do provide easy access to essential functions like call and message log, voice assistant, and media controls. However, the car's infotainment system can be a bit confusing, with some features taking time to get used to.
**The Verdict**
Ultimately, the Mercedes C-Class Coupe is a great-looking car, both inside and out. It handles incredibly well, making it an absolute pleasure to drive on winding roads or everyday commutes. While there are some minor quirks to be found – like the absence of a traditional boot release mechanism – these do little to detract from the overall driving experience.

**Easter Egg**
Did you spot the Easter egg in our video review? It was all the knives cut into the shape of a Mercedes Coupe – a clever nod to the car's design.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthe word kupe is French for cut and that's exactly what Mercedes has done to its c-class to produce these rather lovely c-class coupe a now the saloon is already pretty blooming lovely but this one this turns out the one factor all the way to 11 so it's 2 grand more than the equivalent Selinda Kupe is and then there's the cost in terms of practicality because it's reduced over the saloon so the big capacity is about 80 litres less and in case you're wondering that's about the same volume as my body and yeah the boot itself the opening and the overall shape size isn't quite as good as on the equivalent BMW 4-series but you did get some nice features such as you've got a shopping bag holcomb netted there in the cupboard you get fold down rear seats they split three ways you can operate them from the boot while the boot is slightly smaller than the saloons obviously another compromise in terms of practicality is getting into the back so these doors do open nice and wide and when you pull the seat forward to electronically what forward out of your way so you can get into the rear and inside here it actually looks lovely in here with the individual contoured seats and oh yeah nice nice cabin and then you try and sit back and realize yeah it's not too nice in the back door for passengers there is absolutely no Headroom at all knee rooms alright but there's no way I could travel anywhere in this I mean this is really only for kids back aids really really cramped and the CEPA dead upright as well and if you want to see just how easy it is to fit a child's seat in this car click up there on the car to watch our in-depth practicality video where you can also see what it's like with two adults in the back and just how much stuff you can squeeze into this cars boot really these kind of cars are bought by people who just travel with two in them and occasion needs and rear seats and in the front this car it is wonderful let me just pop in to wait for the seat to slide back and there's all this one at the same time so you can see what's going on what a lovely interior this is now these seats especially made for the coop owners sit lower in the car so the whole thing just seems more sporty this particular car is the AMG line version it has some upgrades it's got real level seats rather than artificial leather and it's extended the artificial leather up on the dash and to do those upgrades you're talking a grand but they're well worth because it makes it just feel so previewing here this one has the premium plus package which includes the permitir stereo this panoramic glass sunroof you also get the upgraded Command online system which is better than the standard gone in sat-nav with a small screen that you get on the normal car it's definitely worth the upgrade but it is expensive it's three ground that's a lot of money and to be honest this entertainment system yeah the whole user interface and the menus then she's not as good to use as bindle use I Drive system now if you click up there on the top right hand corner the screen on the car that should be appearing now you can watch our in-depth video review of the infotainment system and have another good look around this cars cabin and before I finish up I should just point out that cubby space is for a coupe a are actually pretty good so there's lots of storage under here there's a big glove box there's some cup holders there and the door bins are big enough to hold one half liter bottle so yeah pretty and practical but for cars like this driving dynamics are also a key factor so how does the Mercedes c-class coupe a measurer I like to get this straight from the outset if you want the shop is handling keeping this class it's still the BMW 4 Series it's also got slight bear visibility as well because the rear wind on this car it's very steep and quite sure that yeah it's pretty good to view at the back and well you can see for yourself by clicking it there to watch out 360 degree video of this kind but in every other way I actually prefer the way this Mercedes C coupe 8 feels to drive so first of all it's really quite there the soundproofing is excellent also it's really comfortable so if you buy this car and you get the sport version the suspension has a perfect blend of comfort and handling AMG line models have to have stiffer suspension and the ride is a bit firmer so if you get one of those cars spend 900 pound extra for the optional air suspension cuz it's lovely so in comfort mode yeah this car just just glides up the road it's so relaxing and then you can press a button put it into dynamic mode and it sharpens everything up and then you realize that yeah this car it's easily fun enough for most people now most people buy this car will go for a diesel and it's actually the right choice because the petrol engines are really that good well unless you're going to buy one of the high-performance AMG brushes but this is the 2.1 litre diesel it's the 220 it's a little bit noise when you accelerate but you can't fault the economy so I'm getting 57 miles per gallon you could get similar economy from the C 250 D which we get from nought to 62 miles an hour in seven seconds or thereabout and it's definitely worth the upgrade because it's more sporty character suits this sporty car better also make sure you get the automatic gearbox with a diesel is a new 9-speed and it's lovely super sleek and it responds perfectly when you put your foot down also you don't want to manual anyway because while Mercedes manuals will make it pull this face there are some other things about the c-class coupe a which will make you pull a funny face is five of them there's no boot release at the back of the car you can only actually open it by a button in the car or by the remote key fob or by using the power of your mind this wintery signature is a little bit tacky on an otherwise cool car this car has with the lungs doors of any Mercedes which can make a bit tricky to get out in tight parking spaces so we'll just stay cool this c220 locates d-bags looks a little bit rubbish on such a beautiful car it seems Steven that Mercedes does another shortcut buttons for the entertainment system there with a controller but there instead still this Mercedes has some really nice features which help make up for all this you can summon the emergency services or get breakdown assistance just by pressing one of these buttons you get a smartphone app which will help you locate the card you can't quite remember where you left it okay it's not in the woods it's there the optional electric steering column will move up out of the way so you can exit gracefully the cart will actually shares its maintenance information with a dealer said I'll call you if it needs a checkup the reversing camera hides underneath the badge when it's not being used so then overall what do you think of the Mercedes c-class coupe a well it's infotainment system is a little bit confusing and those back seats are really cramped but it's a it's a great looking car both inside and out and it's an absolute pleasure to drive
