My Favorite Morning Routine: A Decadent Cup of Coffee and More
As I sit down to write this article, I'm excited to share with you my favorite morning routine that sets me up for success. For me, mornings are all about something to look forward to. As soon as I wake up, I know there's something delicious waiting for me downstairs - my favorite coffee drink is always a highlight of the morning.
I'm still drinking the same blend of iced coffee mixed with my favorite creamer, which is sweet cream. I love sipping on this as I make breakfast, it's a ritual that I cherish. If you're not eating a filling, balanced, and healthy breakfast, trust me when I say you need to start doing so. I used to fuel myself poorly and would lose steam easily. But after incorporating a nutritious breakfast into my routine, I've noticed a significant increase in my energy levels.
My go-to breakfast is crispy fried eggs with parmesan cheese. To make them, you get your eggs going, cook one side, season it up, cover the top with cheese (I like to use an Italian blend), and then flip it so that the cheese gets crispy on both sides. The key is to not burn the cheese, but rather achieve a nice crispiness. This may not look appetizing at first glance, but trust me when I say that these eggs are addicting! I have them with buttered toast, which adds an extra layer of flavor and texture.
As I eat my breakfast, I usually watch a YouTube video or listen to a podcast. However, one thing that's not on the agenda is checking my email - at least, not yet. I find that I need to be awake and energized before diving into emails, especially if there's any chance of bad news. In this state, I'm more focused and can tackle tasks with clarity.
After breakfast, I make sure to clean up after myself. Although things are usually tidy from the night before, I take a quick look around to ensure everything is in order. This may seem like a small task, but it helps me feel calm and centered, especially when Carter wakes up and starts making a mess downstairs!
With my morning routine now complete, I move on to getting ready for the day. I follow a simple five-minute beauty routine that has become second nature over time. My DIY lash extensions have been a game-changer - they save me so much time in the mornings! With just a few quick strokes of my makeup brush and a swipe of lip liner, I'm looking mildly put together and ready to take on the day.
Now, if you're thinking that five minutes is an impossible task, think again. I've mastered this routine over four years and can complete it in under five minutes - most days! With just a few minutes left before Carter wakes up at 7:30 am sharp, I use this time to plan out my day. I find solace in using the Google Keep app, where I write down all my tasks and objectives for the day.

full hour before you have to before you have to get out the door or if you're a mom before your kids wake up so taking that full hour to yourself and that's how long this whole routine it takes me this is what has made all the difference so number two this is also difficult to do but now it's a habit and that is when my alarm goes off for me at 6:30 a.m. Carter wakes up at 7:30 I immediately get out of bed I roll right out of bed the only thing I'm thinking is get up so I roll out of my bed and walk right over to my blind I open the blinds and I let the light in that will naturally start to wake you up then I go over to my nightstand and I have water already set up here from the night before and I drink 16 ounces of water to start my day what a lot of people don't realize that feeling of being tired and groggy is very often related to dehydration and I am chronically dehydrated I don't drink enough water so I just force myself to drink a lot of water right when I wake up after I just chug my water I'm over here by my nightstand by the bed so I just make the bed right then I'm there already it's very easy to do I sleep on top of my covers I know people think this is very weird but I have my big cozy blanket so all I really need to do is arrange my and then I fold up my blanket and put it over in the basket next to my bed the bed is made and that's just one little productive thing get it over with quickly I walk over to the bathroom brush my teeth do all of that and then next little Hobbit that I started doing is I apply my skincare cold I have my little mini skin fridge I talked about this in a recent video but I have found that using your skin care cold really helps wake me up and energize me in the morning it just makes the entire experience feel more luxurious and I used this little silicone brush to apply my skin care all of this together is such an enjoyable a little a couple minutes of my morning that I really look forward to now it just sets the tone for your day of being put together now on my way out the door I grab my laundry basket and this is another new thing I've been doing I do two smaller loads of laundry a week I used to kind of let it pile up and have this whole massive laundry situation I now do it in smaller manageable chunks I pop over into my laundry room you guys have probably seen I have now the most beautiful ultimate laundry room going on with my LG appliances in here and I get three things going at once and I find that when I do my laundry first thing it just guarantees I get it done the first thing I get going is I use my lg styler this is my companion to my washer dryer and I put my coat and Carter's coat in here I like to do this every week it has been really chilly and raining here in San Diego so our coats just get musty and I do a refresh cycle and what that does is it steams the coats it refreshes them deodorizes them sanitizes them removes allergens it just freshens them up so I get these going on a refresh cycle then I put my main load of wash this is my clothes and Carter's clothes in my washer which is the WM 3900 best washer on the market I'm not just saying this Consumer Reports agrees with me number one rated washer there's also steam technology in this so it uses the power of steam to clean your clothes deeper and sanitize them and remove allergens it just cleans your clothes better very very noticeably better especially from the last one I had it is a night and day difference and so at the same time I also get my athletic clothes washing down below in the LG sidekick so I have the twin wash system here the sidekick down below has a mini washer in it that is where I put my leggings my athletic jackets those are different materials that need to be washed on a delicate cold cycle so I will do that down below and so I have three things going at once first thing in the morning getting them done and all of these appliances have smart technologies so I will just get a text shape tape and it's only seven dollars so that's a hot tip this benefit brow pencil so so good I have my completed eyebrows so I just have to barely fill them in but this has the thinnest tip to it so it just makes really realistic brow hair I'll put on a little bit of bronzer and blush and sometimes I'll take a bit of bronzer and just put it as eye shadow very quickly and then my lip liner and lipstick very exciting news after four years I have a new lip combo this is a dose of colors lip liner in the shade Teddy and my new favorite lipstick is called baddest beige and it is by Maybelline I have this down to a science and I can literally do it in under five minutes I look mildly put together because Carter and I do go out everyday so I want to look you know presentable and then if I have a few minutes to spare which I usually do I have about five minutes left before Carter wakes up at 7:30 on the dot like clockwork I will plan my day and I just do this on my phone I still use the Google keep up and I just had my to-do list on there so get that in order sort it out so I have a framework for my day and that is it that is my one hour productive morning routine that I have started doing I started on November 1st and this has been the most productive month of my life I've had the best energy been in the best mood because I have made it a priority to take this hour of time to
