The Launch of the LG Optimus L5: A New Smartphone for India

We are live at the launch of the new LG Optimus series, and this is the Optimus L5, a new smartphone that has been launched by LG in India. The device is priced at 13,19, making it an affordable option for those looking to upgrade their smartphones.

The LG Optimus L5 features a 4-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels. The display is located at the bottom of the device, and the phone also has a physical home button and two capacitive touch buttons below it. Additionally, there's a micro USB charging/data syncing port along with a microphone, which are located on the bottom of the device.

On the right-hand side of the device, there are no features or buttons to speak of. On the top of the device is where we find the power lock and unlock button, as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The left side of the device is where we find the volume rocker, which seems to be the only notable feature on this side.

Moving on to the back of the device, we find a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, along with the LG logo and speaker phone. The back panel of the device has a textured finish that allows it to be easily removed by pulling out the top part of the device. Once the back panel is removed, we can see the 1540mAh battery pack, SIM card slot, and micro SD card slot.

When we put the back cover back on, we get a quick look at the interface of the LG Optimus L5. The new unlock screen from LG shows a quick preview of what's happening inside the phone. Once unlocked, the user is taken to the main screen, which features a new-style notification panel that allows for customizable toolkits. These toolkits can be changed and modified by selecting them and then scrolling left or right to choose which toolkit to modify.

The settings panel on the LG Optimus L5 shows that it's running Android 4.0.3, which is the latest version of Ice Cream Sandwich available in the public domain. The phone also features a pinch-to-overview feature for all five home screens, allowing users to customize their home screen layout with ease.

The full app interface on the LG Optimus L5 shows new-style app icons and a downloads section in the main menu. The settings panel is also accessible here, where we can see options to customize the lock screen, add widgets, and more.

When we go back into the lock screen, we find that it has been updated with a calendar widget, which was previously not available on this device. However, without a SIM card installed, the icons at the bottom of the screen are still missing. Despite this, the LG Optimus L5 features an impressive dialer that includes phone locks, contacts, and favorites.

In addition to these features, the LG Optimus L5 also has a messaging app that boasts a large format keyboard, making it easy for users to type out messages without any issues. The processor of the device is 800 MHz, paired with 512 MB of RAM and 3 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD card slot.

Overall, the LG Optimus L5 seems like a solid option for those looking for an affordable smartphone in India. With its features and specs on display, we are eager to see how this device performs in real-world usage and provide our readers with a comprehensive review once it's available for purchase.
