The Power of a Good Montage: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Lock City at Thompson Motor Speedway

As we started filming, our team realized that the montage wasn't going to be the start of the video. Instead, it was meant to be in the middle or towards the end of the film. However, thanks to Divine Media's incredible work on the montage, they convinced us to put it in the beginning. I must say, I'm glad we did – it sets the tone for an exciting video.

The montage is a testament to Divine Media's skill and creativity. They're like a masterful team that can take something as simple as footage and turn it into a work of art. When I asked them if they'd be willing to create a little something, they jumped at the chance. The result is a captivating video that showcases their talent.

I had my car issues, which meant I didn't get to film as much as I wanted to. But thanks to Divine Media's help, we were able to salvage some amazing content from our event at Lock City at Thompson Motor Speedway. Now, it's time for me to show you the behind-the-scenes footage – the stuff that doesn't make it into the final video.

As I woke up on this beautiful Connecticut morning, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the sunshine and fresh air. The weather was perfect for an action-packed day at the track. With my adrenaline pumping and the smell of gasoline in the air, I knew we were in for a wild ride.

We're talking high-speed racing, precision driving, and mechanical wizardry. It's not just about getting from point A to point B – it's about finesse, skill, and strategy. Today, we're going to put our cars through their paces and see who comes out on top.

As I get ready to hit the track, I take a moment to appreciate the beautiful scenery around me. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the smell of freshly cut grass fills the air. It's moments like these that remind me why I love racing so much – it's not just about competing; it's about the thrill of the ride.

The sound of tires screeching, engines roaring, and people cheering fills the air. It's an exhilarating experience that never gets old. I'm grateful to be a part of it, even if only for a day.

But racing isn't just about the thrill of the ride – it's also about teamwork, strategy, and finesse. We've got our mechanics working tirelessly behind the scenes to fine-tune our cars and get us ready for competition. It's a delicate balance between speed and reliability.

As we take our cars out on the track, our mechanics are hard at work making adjustments and tweaks to optimize performance. It's a high-stakes game of cat and mouse – we need to stay one step ahead of the competition if we want to come out on top.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso originally that montage wasn't going to be the start of the video it was gonna be kind of in the middle or towards the end but might from divine media did such a rad job on it they're like I didn't want any chance of you guys not seeing it so I was like I I'm gonna put it in the beginning I made a little video together way back last time I was at Thompson and he's been making a lot of really cool stuff for Jimmy so I asked him if we can make like a little I don't know Sun Sun when I came out to lock city and he put together what you just saw and it's amazing and I really hope you guys check out his channel the link is in the description I had a lot of car issues and I definitely didn't film as much as I wanted to so I'm really glad that he was able to make that because I put together some really awesome content from a really cool event but now after this I'm going to show you my normal vlog footage kind of behind the scenes of everything that was breaking and a couple track runs that I did get good morning guys yet again I don't want to sound like a broken record but we started up yet another day in beautiful Connecticut weather and I know it's only a matter of time before the weather starts getting either really hot or rainy or something not good but we're just enjoying it while laughs we're whipping the lude which ironically feels a little weird driving on the left side of a car since I've gotten so used to driving right-hand drive and we're just going to pick up a sandwich I just love sandwiches I love that delis here aren't all chains even though every town kinda has a deli that has similar stuff I just I like delis hug me some good don't change me technically speaking though I guess Bora said it's a chain right nothing like a good old fashioned Connecticut sandwich that can fit in your mouth today is actually going to be our second event up here got the car all loaded up and ready for lock city at thomson motor speedway got some cool new little things in the show that i'm pretty stoked on a company called smart straps actually hit me up and sent me out some of their ball or tie-down straps which i'm actually really stoked on because my old ones i'm starting like to seize up and just be really annoying hard to see since these ones are already tied down to the car but it's nice they come with like a little velcro strap too so if you don't want to cut the strap you can just tie it down and it looks a lot nicer than having straps everywhere i got some smaller ones too that you can see a little bit better how nice these things are i love the finish to they look so cool if you guys are new to some high quality straps i definitely suggest you check them out they've got all different sizes and a much appreciative to them for sending me a bunch out and sponsoring this video obviously this is a very common feeling for people that trailer cars with man the weirdest thing going from a low fast great handling right-hand drive car to a big truck with a big trailer and driving on the same roads and trying to drive the same way it doesn't work let me tell you that keep going around the corners I'm like why is it not turning in like it should it's not a fellow drifter I see oh my god it's Jimmy yolks we didn't even plan this we just happened to be on the road together at the same time no joke a lot of traffic in areas where there normally is in traffic but I think it's cuz it's the weekend for whatever reason this Dunkin Donuts here in this random town in Connecticut has made the best coffee I have ever gotten from Dunkin Donuts not even the slightest taste of urine for any of you guys wondering three liquid sugar four cream and it tastes absolutely perfect engine break whistle though Jimmy's dragging his taillight but he can't see road course looks so fun I want to drive on it jealous as always last minute rush even though I thought we got here early to get the cars ready and on track my biggest concern is making sure that 85 blow by situation that's gonna be fun to my cash can something to a couple laps and check it what's up I don't know hopefully my car stays together Jimmy cracked his block no hopefully I didn't we might have an oil issue but it might be residual for when I pull my turbo like literally 12 hours ago but the good news is it's esperan day it's so we're driving with a helmet on and I've been driving for so long without a helmet that it sounds like everything is really quiet oh no I understand why I need it so the track has like lines and tires on an hour last time I was just a big beam just take a read young boy sorry what sticker it was really good on the track yeah and now we have to go all the way down to making you here on the building right every other laugh at something oils burning smokes coming out of the hood this time we think we got Brian well the tie rod was bent a little bit before but it's been fixed today no we don't have time for that it was oh how she let me look it down yeah I told you something was up Brian Wow Brian thought I was crazy now you're the crazy one bend it back with a pry bar but I do have extra tie rods so alright guys so we got it we got a busy day at the track here it's okay we got say Jew to said units it's true tube time virgin there it is so Adam is having some difficulties with car the suspension at first was kind of loose I think everything was loose wasn't it so the problem was just what's up same flexes does it sick and old and I'm sure we should reinforce it it's all pretty the bump stop to prevent this from hitting the coil over we're utilizing the one on the other side so we're still getting the Flex in the subframe so what I did wrong to the other side it's no reason the CalPERS a bump stop huh and then me Adam Ryan right here when three car is deep went sick tandem and Adam work attire out in the second run find a second corner yeah the tire they've been so adamant just replace Tyra yes sir so so we're doing the tie-rod now that in alignment and then hopefully some skits whoa what are you drinking right hmm subway there you go this what happens when you hug it dummy hard I'm doing a really terrible job at filming here there's just so many people and me and B Hall have been going hard trying to get the angle sorted because I was having this weird issue where it was flexing and hitting the core deliver really bad at lock-on so we actually wound up doing kind of sketchy but it's a temporary fix we flipped the bump stop backwards so it hits the caliper so since it was hitting on the front section rather than using the bumps up on the other side and allowing us that flex having it hit the caliper prevents it from moving at all in that direction so I shouldn't be doing weird stuff anymore all right cars back together it is alignment time or they just did alignment so here's a tow place as you guys perfect really good job you've done enough yeah good so hopefully Adam gets it back on the track so I can touch mirrors and something but I got changed my tires it's that time of the night the man himself what's up Jill happy to see you out here you go for ride-along yeah there you go pop the chest out a little bit Megan say hello do you race your car has been having some issues but it's good now we think so you'll see on the track right there I think so yeah he knows all right that's it videos over now I hope you liked it don't forget to go check out mike devine media's channel he's rad everybody's rad it was really good time pour bumpers got some battle scars now but that's what stickers are for right don't try to cover them up or something no worries alright guys I will see you tomorrow maybe there's more BMX stuff with an old friend\n"
