**Quick Review of the Webcam Software**

This part was quickly filmed in the future because I did forget to update the software to the latest version and there are two things that are new. The first thing is under more settings, you see enable single tap tracking and if you enable this setting now you can just tap the static button on the front of the webcam and then it will link or unlink to you. So right now it's linked to me if I tap the button like this, it will flicker, and then it's probably unlinked as you can see. This is the same thing as just showing your hand like this, linking and unlinking the tracking.

**New Feature: Hotkeys**

The other feature they added is right here on the top, you can see hotkeys, and these are a bunch of hotkeys for different actions in the software. For example, tracking alt T, I think the webcam is tracking me right now if I press alt plus d on my keyboard, it's probably not going to be tracking me anymore as you can see. These are awesome additions.

**Using the Corner Stickers**

You also see V here in the software, and if I'm not wrong, the Box comes with stick stickers. Look at this; these are corner stickers, and so these go together with the V sign. What they are used for is, for example, let's say that this right here these panels are a whiteboard, they would have to stick these stickers to the corners like one for each corner, and then if you would put the V sign, the webcam would recognize it, and I would lock on the Whiteboard. So, I will zoom in on the Whiteboard, and look onto it.

**Desk View Mode and Mouse Tracking**

There's also a desk view mode, and you can also drag around in this mode. You can make it go like this; this is very useful for let's say doing an unboxing. Like with the normal webcam, there would be no way to show something like this. Another thing this is definitely used for is let me move this around a bit.

**Overhead Mode**

You could add your mouse movements on the stream. You can move this webcam to the side a bit and so this way you could add this on the stream for like FPS games and stuff, and then the other mode on the bottom is overhead mode. What we do is the webcam will always aim down no matter how I move it; it will aim down to the desk. This is more for when you use this right here to attach it to a camera array like an overhead rig in that case; it will always aim perfectly down to the desk or something really important.

**Image Settings**

I need to show you is here the image settings. As you can see, my settings are not standard right now, so I'm gonna hover the reset button here but look at my image, I'm going back to the standard and one two three, and this is how it looks by default. What looks best will depend on your preference and also the screen you're watching it on for me right now; it looks way too yellow there's not enough color, and there's also a bit too much contrast like this here is pretty bright, and everything around me is like way too dark.

**Personal Preference**

So what I did in these settings is I did remove the contrast a bit on my image right now if I keep removing the contrast; my image gets way too flat, and then if I add way too much of it; you can see what contrast does. So I decided to 40%. Then the saturation this depends on your screen; this is way too much saturation, remove it, and you get black and white but I did turn it up a bit and since I made the image a bit more flat by removing the contrast; what I did is adding a bit of sharpness.

What you think of how this looks definitely depends on personal preference. But I think it looks great, and I will add the link to the webcam in the description. meetings but because I always look composed and professional because the webcam is always keeping me in the frame let's see it's a pretty long meeting and over time I slowly move to the side because I always want to check something or I don't know in that case if this webcam wouldn't drag me around I would be on the side of the frame and it wouldn't really look professional same thing for the stream if you do a cooking stream you can make the webcam track you around in your kitchen which is extremely useful by the way you can also go to desk View mode this will make it look like the webcam is filming you from above and this all happens while the webcam is just sitting on your screen now as you probably already saw the webcam is extremely crisp and that's because it's a 4K webcam you can put it in 4k 30fps 1080P 60fps or 720p60 FPS and if you want to film short for social media which I do a lot right here you can go to the resolution here and then just make it vertical and the webcam will actually flip you can link the webcam to you by showing your hand it will blink and then it will look onto you and so just like that it starts tracking you vertically and this is extremely useful for shorts because with this aspect ratio it would be very easy to get out of the frame now let's go back to the normal mode it will flip again I really love this by the way speaking about vertical if we go to OBS and we have the webcam there you could also opt to keep it like this then cut off the size by holding alt so I'm gonna link it to myself again and this way is going to be able to track you like to the sides but also to the top and to the bottom which I can't do in vertical mode and as you can see it's very zoomed in on my face I can put myself right here in the corner but it's always going to track me and it's always going to keep my face on the screen even if I move around in my room as you can see it's gonna zoom in a lot and I'm never not gonna be on the stream this is actually crazy because when you zoom in this much on your face on the stream it's very easy to get out of the frame by just gaming and then moving a bit with this webcam it's going to make micro adjustments and it's gonna make sure that you're never out of the frame now as you can see on the right in the software we have streamer mode and it was enabled and what this is doing is it enables portrait mode and it also makes it able to get 50 or 60 FPS in your streaming software so OBS for example and this is something a lot of people are looking for you can get 1080p 60fps but you will need to install the software and then enable streamer mode here now the insta360 link has a larger sensor than most other webcams and this helps with a lot of stuff but two big things where it really helps is first of all there's quite a lot of background blur which you don't have with other webcams like you can clearly see that I'm in the front and then this is my background because it's a bit blurry if I hold something in front of the webcam you can definitely see it because as you can see my face is blurry already by the way I really can't get over how sharp this is look at this I've never seen a webcam dish or and also something else it really helps with is low light performance now I have a lot of lights on myself right now which is why I look this crisp and this high quality but I will turn off two of my lights and I just turn down my other light like a lot even with a little light coming on to me I'm still pretty sure if I'm still really bright there is very little noise going on in the dark areas oh and also before I turn on more of my lights again I'm gonna move here a bit because the webcam will turn and look at this corner here it's very very dark but on the right here we see HDR and look at what happens when I turn it on so look in this corner you will see more details appearing here now my face kinda stays the same but the darker areas will become more visible and that's what HDR does it stands for high dynamic range and dynamic range means that there can be more bright spots and more dark spots without them losing any quality because in normal mode very bright spots will be completely white very dark spots will be completely black and then in HDR mode to an extent the black areas will have more detail and the light areas will also have more detail before they get completely white I'm gonna turn it off and I'm gonna go back to 4K here and I didn't show this yet but in the software you see settings on the top you can go to gimbal controller and this way you can move the webcam around with this gimbal as you can see you can just control the motors in the webcam you can zoom in with it you can zoom out and what's even more cool is that you can drag around on the frame and then just show people stuff like this so this is really really cool this is my second screen has my script on it with like stuff that I want to talk about and this here is the camera that's filming the webcam this light on top is lighting my hair I can go to me and I show you like this right here you can see that when I turn off the light my hair is just one dark spot and I'm with this light and the light on the side it really Separates Me from the background now look at how high quality this webcam gets when I zoom in like you can really zoom in a lot and this is actually crazy this is very Crisp And there are also positions on the bottom I can click on position one apparently this is position one let's see what position do is I have no idea it's actually just tracking me you can disable the tracking on the bottom and you could say like I want to move to my camera here then I want to zoom in on the camera and this has to be preset position you just click on the plus icon and this is now position four so position one will be this it moves really quickly by the way as you saw but when I go to position four boom it will just zoom in reframe and this just shows the capability of this webcam it's absolutely crazy and it kind of lost me I think and so you can really easily re-link it like this and it immediately starts tracking You Again by the way a really good use of the preset positions would be if I have a dog for example and it's laying right there you could give the dog its own spot and then have that as a preset position because that adds a lot of entertainment to the stream could have something like a fish tank on the side or one of those robots that ride around on your desk I could have it right there on the brown desk but of course pets are great for stream engagement you can just say like hey look at my dog he's doing this he's doing that go back to yourself and then just continue the stream I'm going to take my headphones because apparently the microphone of the webcam which I've actually never really dusted before apparently the mics are pretty good and I say mics because as you can see there is not one microphone here there's also a second one it has dual mics with noise canceling and let me just turn up the microphone right here and then turn down my microphone now obviously you cannot compare that microphone to this here because this costs I think 350 I'm not sure it doesn't really matter it's a professional studio microphone but that microphone is definitely usable for voice calls maybe also in case that you're doing a kitchen stream for exam example and you wanted to be very natural like you don't want a really booming microphone sound like this one here also it's not possible to take this with you in the kitchen and maybe you want the viewers to get the feeling that they are right there with you in that case you do want a bit of echo you do want a bit of noise when you're like let's say putting something in your countertop you're gonna hear this more with that microphone instead of something like this and so in that case the microphones are definitely usable however if you're recording something like I am right now where you're doing a stream you're obviously going to want a microphone in front of you now according to insta360 branding the microphone does normally have autofocus it has true Focus until this day I'm not sure if that's an actual technical term or if that's just their way of saying it's a really really good autofocus but as you can see it actually is really good autofocus so it's very quick it snaps onto this it snaps back to myself it uses phase detection autofocus and it works really well for just about everything it focuses on this box it follows it around it goes back to my face and so even when walking around it's going to focus on my face it's always going to find my face and that's always going to make sure that I'm very sharp in the frame now you've seen me showing the webcam following me around right it keeps me in the frame the same way so it always zooms down on me and then frames me from the chest up and I'm gonna show you this in the software because that's very cool and there are more settings here you can see AI zoom and I chose this framing but I can also click on have body now right now it's zoomed out to the maximum so even if I move closer it's not going to zoom out because it can't but when I move further away right now you will see that it will keep a bit more of me in the frame before it did cut off right here now it's right here and I can also click on whole body in the software and in that case it's gonna try to keep my whole body in the frame so I'm gonna walk removing the contrast my image gets way too flat and then if I add way too much of it you can see what contrast does so I decided to 40. then the saturation this depends on your screen this is way too much saturation remove it and you get black and white but I did turn it up a bit and then since I made the image a bit more flat by removing the contrast what I did is adding a bit of sharpness now what you think of how this looks definitely depends on personal preference but I think it looks great and I will add the link to the webcam in the description this was a sponsored video as you
