**Mixed Feelings About "Vengeful"**

brief synopsis of the first book vicious I will be talking about spoilers about this book in this video but I will let you know when so you are safe to watch until I say so so like I said this is the second book in the villain series the first one being issues so vicious came out a few years ago I want to say like 5 almost it's been a long time awaited for this sequence is about two college students named Victor and Eli and their roommates and they kind of get along with a dull I think they're really competitive towards each other and wants to one-up it one one-up each other they both have kind of really falling out kind of lives and basically Eli discovers cos or extraordinary and he discovers that iou's are kind of made by near-death experiences are actually dying and a little bit and then being brought back to life so Eli confides in to Victor about this and they decide to experiment with it they decide to use themselves as the test subjects and to kind of put themselves into near death pretty much death experiences and see if they will become an eeo not a spoiler warning they do and basically what happens from there is a big falling out happens and Victor gets put into jail and this book is told alternating with timelines it starts off with Victor in jail and him plotting to get out and to kill Eli and hunting him down and then we also go back to the time that they were in college when they this whole EEO process began so that is basically she's all about a vicious it's one of my favorite books of all time I will let you know that these are adult books they are not yai no Victoria Schwab is her ye handle but ve Schwab is her adult handle so just know there's a lot of adult language in it there's a lot of brutality gore eNOS just kind of evilness so just so you know these are not why I in the slide it's just the notion of good versus evil right versus wrong or could there be a middle in that like is there shades of grey in between those different conflicting conflicting sides it is addictive Fred a good majority of the issue Oz or swear your books and there has not been one they haven't really enjoyed strictly from her writing her writing is beautiful flow so well the book is confusing a little bit because of the alternating time but regardless you're gonna get sucked in you're gonna get enamored and fall is the perfect time to read this book trust you me if you're looking for a great like kind of gritty dark book about good versus evil please read vicious you will not be disappointed is amazing so highly recommend vicious I want to that there's going to be another novel because we have so many questions answers so in regards of it if it is a trilogy it does feel very much like a middle book to me where it's kind of like you get some questions answered but then you get a lot of new questions and it just feels like you know a middle book in a series I hate saying that but it just feels like that to me if I can give this a star to be kind of up all over the place review but he was not oh my you know so this book takes place pretty much right after vicious ended so vicious ended with Victor dying but I think we all kind of knew that Sydney was gonna bring him back to life which she does and that's exactly what happens in vengeful but the only problem is is Victor has brought back to life if you problematic things with that as Sydney brings like people back to life or animals there's always a little kink into bringing them back and Victor's is that he constantly dies so his powers is like cause pain a lot I think with electricity and just like all that kind of stuff so he his thing after he gets brought back to life this is power and testifies and it kills anybody around him and it kills himself because it just like explodes and he dies for a few minutes and then he wakes up again to start life again so it's happening more and more frequently for him and for longer so for the first time it starts for him he maybe dies for 30 seconds and the next time it'll be a minute and it just gets longer and longer and he knows that eventually what's gonna happen is that when his power surge a lot he's gonna die and he's gonna die for good so we have that going on Victor that's his whole storyline is progressing of that and I'll come back to that we also have Eli's at the end of vicious we also got to see Eli going to jail where Victor was and Eli is just in prison and he's kind of skulking around but he's actually getting experimented on by this evil doctor I forget the name and he the doctor just cuts Eli open and it really examines how fast he can heal because Eli you know is like he can't die pretty much any like the doctor will insert foreign objects into him and see what happens and basically the doctor discovered that I think if it's small enough you can insert something in my skin and he like it will I don't know he makes somehow he makes the serum of that can suppress the powers of a neo which is insanity I think his name is dr. Herbert E but either way he sermons on Eli that's what's going on the Eli there's more about him two brand new characters in this book called Marcella and June the book kind of begins I don't know or towards the beginning we have the introduction of Marcella and she is a mob wife and her husband and her have a marriage for a while and it's going good and basically her husband comes home one day and she realized that he has cheated on her and she doesn't take it nicely at all neither would I and she's like you know what and they start fighting and physical things are happening and basically a fire erupts in their house and Marcela's husband kind of leaves her there to die and he assumes that she's dead and she does die in the fire but she comes back and her power is like destroying everything she touches which I've noticed that like people like die in the circumstance there and that has something to do with her yo Powers like Victor was like on a table with all this like electricity or like you know I'm saying like I don't know this electricity but that's his power Sydney I was kind of in a frozen bathtub and I think you thought a lot of things it's also a lot of those thoughts about when they die - that makes any sense so like Marcela's last thought our last words to her I swear I will ruin her I will ruin you so basically that is what Marsellus power is everything she touches well like if it's wood it'll like if it's like metal it'll turn to ash she just destroys anything that she touches we also have Jun who's kind of a human boo doo doll at first I thought she can just change personalities or just change her skin to look like anybody else's basically she cannot feel any pain if she's in someone else's like skin she can transform in anybody else it's very interesting she is a very much mystery of a character um so in this book sorry Viktor who has a big problem with dying over and over again so he goes on the hunt for AOS who can help cure him and every time he meets the EO that doesn't help cure him he kills them because he doesn't want to get his path traced back to him and it kind of does a full circle like in the first book of that's what that's what Eli did he would kill Yas because he felt that was the right thing to do and Victor's not killing iou's does that make Eli does that make Victor in the same playing field as Eli doesn't make him any better than he like he's doing the exactly the same thing and just like in vicious and just like ambitious Eli's until this most like Victor was in jail so we have a lot of different things going on this book takes a lot of different paths and again like the first one we have the different time jumps we would have different characters and they would talk about five years leading up to their character leading up to this timeline in fusing the first one got confusing but we didn't have as many characters in the first one as we do and vengeful vengeful was just very like I felt kind of choppy with the the jumps in time and overall I was just very like I had to flip back several times reading the book to figure out where we were what character were with what time period it was it was just and with this book I feel like with these two new characters which I really enjoyed because they were strong females I love that but we didn't get a ton of Victor in Eli which is why I think a lot of people love vicious including myself I feel like we kind of just got they were on the back burner because they didn't have you know much intense plots like these first book as these two main characters do in this book so we didn't get a lot of them so I think that's why I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to because we had like we didn't have enough of our that would be very very interesting I'd love to hear more about that June is another big mystery of a character at the end of the book Marcel is like done which I've expected because she was just very progression in the book I just just like she just wants power to have power and I kind of wasn't upset when she was act stuff because she was just getting kind of annoyed she was getting too greedy she was getting like she's the boss no one else and it was just so Juno is another big question like what is the history June we don't learn much about we don't know anything about her really and I want to know more she is an enigma and I have to know more about her but I just want to know more about as far as the ending goes the ending what happens is what does happen at the ending the ending I felt was so rushed like the last 20 pages I was so confused by because it happened literally in the blink of an eye so I think Eli eventually dies that is one thing that happens but it'sa gonna be the doctor to help suppress his power which is gonna make him more vulnerable yes because there will be a time where he can't have his powers but it's a short-term solution for him dying repeatedly he needs to find like did the doctor die too I don't know if he did but is he gonna find another doctor to help him experiment the serum or is he gonna find somebody else to help him with he's repeatedly
