A Rant from a Nintendo Fan: The Joy-Con's Lack of Docking Capability
Why can't you do it if I had to go out and buy the Joy-Khan's? I'm paying $100 or so Canadian for that feature, the unit is $100 cheaper than the switch. Do you see where I'm coming from? So why would I take a smaller unit when I can have something the normal size, removable Joy Cons and be able to do everything that I can do on a Switch? The biggest kick now, the biggest kick so now I bought these Joy Cons and I paid the same price as a switch and I still can't dock it. Seriously Nintendo, the idea is cool but you should have made some sort of a mini dock for it because you're only being $100 cheaper.
You were thinking the end, you'd put almost all features into this product to make it worthwhile. Yeah, okay, a little more power under the hood, better battery life, but what's gonna happen in the end? You're gonna announce a pro, something else is going to come out now because you just made this thing technically on paper faster than your flagship product which is your Switch. So now your little portable light as you call it is more powerful than your main product, something's coming that just smells funny.
So we all know something's coming but to make it $100 cheaper than the switch seriously and not include docking capabilities I could have left the Joy Con things slide if they had included the dock or docking capability. They didn't have to put the dock in the package, they should have had an output for HDMI. Please comment below let me know if you guys are on the same page as me, I'm just this is my rant, I'm just a little flustered as now I'm shopping for a switch in the near future and there's no way in the world they can sway me to a light when it doesn't do half of what the switch does for $100 difference if this unit was 199 Canadian this would make a lot of sense because at that point, yeah, it doesn't play all the games.
Mommy and daddy are looking at the back of a package going oh this doesn't work on the light, oh but mommy I wanted to, oh that's by the hundred dollar more controllers, oh but you know something kid this doesn't work on your television either. Seriously come on Nintendo, who is this product for? It's not for people it's not for the person that wants a switch that doesn't have money let's put it that way because for $100 that person's gonna figure out a way to have TV out on their Switch just my I guess you can call it two cents. Yeah, I'm a little upset about this, it doesn't make any sense and maybe I'm a little more bitter than the average person and then Nintendo fanboys are gonna hate on me for it.
Dice really think about it would you really go out and spend the money on it now let's put it in a different perspective. You, I and the other guy or whatever can go up and buy a switch if we want to or we can buy the light if we want to or we can buy both if we want to. Now if you're a switch user and you want something smaller and you travel a lot and you want better battery life okay this unit's probably for you, you're not hooking up to your TV you're not going basically using as a portable but at that point you're also a grown-up and you know that certain games aren't gonna work on this product.
Now guys this is just my rant my two cents on the whole thing take it as you will but listen to what I'm saying it doesn't make a lot of sense Nintendo why did you make this product who is it for? It's definitely not for your average everyday consumer and for the children out there that want to play portable, there's still then their mom and dad is still gonna say wow wait a minute if I want to play this game I gotta spend another hundred dollars to do it. I might as well buy a Switch anyway guys this is just my thoughts my two cents on the whole situation, I just think it's crazy.
I was not even gonna do a video on this but I've been sitting here thinking about it why I hope you enjoyed the show guys until next time please share like subscribe and ring that Bell for new and up-and-coming events or episodes or whatever you wish to not miss from The Last Game Hunter came over
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi everybody and like it or not I have to talk about the switch light now guys everybody knows the switch lights coming it technically is replacing the 3ds a 3ds is canceled the 2d s Excel all these things they just came out with recently with the changes and where they're all canceled and we know there's nothing else coming for the 2d s 3ds platform so yeah it was logical for something to come out on the switch platform or something like it but why so guys I'm not here to beat on this product I'm here to beat on the idea of this product and try to understand and you got to understand where I'm coming from now I am actually thinking about shopping for a switch in the next little while and I'm looking at this oh yay finally they're changing there's upgrades there's more power there's more battery life there's more everything and they made it smaller legger and and more portable that's all cool but it doesn't dock now I don't know about you but the switch already docks the switch already does everything this does and this doesn't so now we're going back to the 10 don't so now they have this switch light that you can take and go portable and do your things but it doesn't even play all the games so now you've got to be picking up games I don't know about you but now I'm gonna be picking up games going Oh switch like compatible yeah I can buy that now what is the point the parents don't care they're gonna be like okay let's think about this way let's just get right down to the why this bothers me so much first off right off the hop the joy cons are attached they're part of the unit okay so they're not removable but they also don't have the features the actual joy contact so now you can't play certain games because of the joy Khan so there's the big thing there's the reason why you can't do it if I had to go out and buy the joy Khan's I'm paying $100 or so canadian for that feature the unit is $100 cheaper than the switch do you see where I'm coming from so why would I take a smaller unit when I can have something the normal size removable joy cons and be able to do everything that I can do on a switch the
