LEGO Jurassic World PS Vita Gameplay Impressions Review

The Art of Lego Jurassic World: A Unique and Polished Experience

As Mr. H, the boss, so aptly put it, "Lego games have a lot of potential." Indeed, they do, and one such game that has caught our attention is Lego Jurassic World on the PlayStation Vita. This game may seem like just another series update, but trust us, it's so much more than that. With its unique blend of gameplay mechanics and nostalgic value, Lego Jurassic World has managed to capture the hearts of fans worldwide.

One of the standout features of this game is its ability to bring together all four Jurassic Park movies in one cohesive package. Yes, you read that right – four movies! The developers have done an excellent job in condensing the essence of each film into a single, entertaining experience that will delight both old and new fans alike. Visually, the game holds up remarkably well on the small PlayStation Vita display, rivaling even its larger and more upscale counterparts like the PlayStation 4 version.

While some may argue that the visual difference is not as pronounced as expected, we couldn't disagree more. The game's vibrant colors and crisp graphics make for an immersive experience that will transport you back to a world of wonder and excitement. As Mr. H put it, "the visual difference is not as big as you might expect or as seen with other games." With the exception of some minor differences in scaling, the PlayStation Vita version of Lego Jurassic World looks and feels just as stunning as its bigger brethren.

So, what makes Lego Jurassic World tick? For starters, it's undoubtedly its emphasis on puzzle-solving. While this can sometimes lead to a sense of tedium, especially when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, the game's developers have managed to inject enough excitement and variety to keep players engaged. Whether you're exploring ancient temples or battling ferocious dinosaurs, there's always something new to discover.

Of course, no discussion of Lego Jurassic World would be complete without mentioning its story-driven approach. The game's narrative is deeply rooted in the world of Jurassic Park, with a focus on recreating the iconic experience that fans have come to love. While this can sometimes result in a sense of predictability, especially for those who have played previous games in the series, we found it to be an integral part of what makes the game so endearing.

One notable aspect of Lego Jurassic World is its emphasis on exploration and discovery. With a vast open world to explore, players are free to roam and uncover hidden secrets, items, and characters. This approach not only adds to the game's replay value but also injects a sense of excitement and adventure that keeps players hooked from start to finish.

But what truly sets Lego Jurassic World apart is its attention to detail and sheer passion for the source material. The developers have clearly put a lot of love into this game, with a focus on homages and Easter eggs that will delight fans of the franchise. From subtle references to iconic characters and locations to more overt nods to the original films, every aspect of Lego Jurassic World has been crafted with the utmost care.

The inclusion of playable dinosaurs is another standout feature of the game. Who wouldn't want to play as a mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex or a swift Velociraptor? The sheer joy of exploring these magnificent creatures is unmatched, and we found ourselves becoming increasingly invested in our favorite beasts as we progressed through the game.

In terms of replay value, Lego Jurassic World delivers on its promise. With multiple playable characters, hidden collectibles, and side quests aplenty, players are guaranteed to spend countless hours exploring this vast world. And for those who enjoy a good challenge, there's always the option to take on additional content, from mini-games to boss battles.

While some may argue that Lego Jurassic World is too formulaic or relies too heavily on familiar gameplay mechanics, we couldn't disagree more. The game's developers have expertly woven together disparate elements to create something truly unique and enjoyable. Whether you're a seasoned fan of the franchise or just looking for a fun and lighthearted gaming experience, Lego Jurassic World is an absolute must-play.

In conclusion, Lego Jurassic World on the PlayStation Vita is a masterclass in game design, storytelling, and sheer passion for the source material. With its engaging gameplay mechanics, immersive world, and attention to detail, this game is sure to delight fans of all ages. So what are you waiting for? Get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure through the world of Jurassic Park like never before.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat is up guys Mr H the boss here and here we're taking a look at Jurassic world on the PlayStation Vita so while to some people this would be more of just a series update you know with tons of Lego games bombarding just about every platform I was actually kind of looking forward to this first of all I think the Lego games actually have a lot of potential they're quite a unique genre and they're highly polished and presented well on top of that I used to love dinosaurs so I mean this kind of appealed to me so Lego Jurassic world on Playstation VA is actually a combination of all four Jurassic Park movies number one number two number three and then the recently released Jurassic world so that's a lot of movies anyway visually the game holds up very nicely on the small PlayStation Visa display it actually Compares very favorably to the much larger and upscaled Playstation 4 version as you can see here which runs at 1080P and 60 frames per second apart from the fact that this is an open world compared to the PlayStation V's fairly closed one I have to say the visual difference is not as big as you might expect or as seen with other games so I'm about 5 to 6 hours into the game and I have to say so far I'm really enjoying it and to be honest there's actually a ton of content here and I've barely scratch the surface of all the replayability the game has to offer having said that there are a few things I don't like first of all it's very puzzle driven more so than ever before and sometimes it gets just a little bit tedious and you feel like you need some combat or something else to spice things up secondly the game is very story driven and really tries to recreate the Jurassic Park experience which in a sense is good but it also means that you actually feel like you're playing a movie game and those tend to not go down so well also while the CG cut scenes are great to look at it's a little bit jarring when you transition from these beautifully crafted scenes to the actual gameplay which is just a little bit less spectacular on the other hand though there are a lot of things I really like about Lego Jurassic world first of all it doesn't feel very generic it feels like a a very handcraft CED experience unlike something like the ninjo or the Lego chimer this one actually has a lot behind it a lot of sort of heart and soul as it were you know there's a lot of sort of homages to the movie and I think fans of the series will be very happy at that secondly I really enjoy the actual characters the fact that you can actually play as dinosaurs actually really makes it quite an interesting experience it makes you really want to unlock all of them and see what they feel like because they do feel quite different there's plenty of different mini games which also spice things up and there's you know there's a lot more to do here the most standard Platformers I mean I remember when I played Lego Indiana Jones that felt very very generic and all the characters felt the same all the environments felt kind of similar and I didn't really enjoy it as much but whereas this I think they've actually corrected a lot of their original mistakes so compared to the console version some of the sections have been cut and although there's sort of up to 100 hours of gameplay here in terms of replayability the actual main campaign itself is not really too long a lot of the replay value just comes from basically repeating what you've done with extra challeng challenges or searching for hidden items and that kind of thing which is pretty standard Lego Affair but it does mean that you end up doing the same thing again and again and again for some people that's not a problem at all and trophy hunting is just as fun as it ever was unlocking all the dinosaurs environments and characters is just seriously rewarding and the platinum trophy is well earned well deserved and really really fun to try and get overall Jurassic world on the PlayStation Vita is pretty much exactly what we were hoping for it pays homage to the movies it you know provide some fan service but it doesn't go so over the top as to make it quite irritating it looks pretty good it plays really nicely and there's very few issues and tons of replayability thanks for watching guyswhat is up guys Mr H the boss here and here we're taking a look at Jurassic
