**Race Week Chronicles: A Day in the Life of a Drag Racing Crew**
---
It’s 7:30 in the morning, and the crew is rolling out of bed after a long day on the road. They’ve been traveling for nearly two hours and have just arrived at their first checkpoint—the geographical center of the 48 states in Kansas. “We’re right here in the middle of the country,” one team member remarks兴奋地. “This is the official spot where you’re married to the center of the U.S.” The journey so far has been uneventful, except for a brief encounter with an innocent butterfly that met an untimely end on the intercooler. Despite the heat, the car—dubbed a full-race vehicle—is holding up well, though it’s clear the crew is not used to road trips.
---
**Exploring Kansas and the First Checkpoint**
The team takes a moment to breathe and enjoy the surroundings. They’re in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by open fields and small-town charm. The car, a modified van, has been performing admirably, but it’s no match for the scorching temperatures. “It’s really hot out here,” one crew member remarks, wiping sweat from their brow. “But hey, we’re in the middle of the whole country—that’s pretty cool.” They take a few minutes to snap some photos by the checkpoint sign before heading back to the main highway.
---
**Stop at Nobody's Auto Recycling**
About ten minutes away from the track, they arrive at their second checkpoint for the day. This one is a bit more unusual: it’s a auto recycling yard called Nobody's Auto Recycling. The crew is in awe of the facility, which houses a collection of old and rusted cars that seem to belong in a Roadkill magazine spread. “This place is sick,” one member exclaims. “There’s some badass stuff out here.” They spend a few minutes exploring the lot, checking out classic cars like a Model T and a tiny K Series vehicle.
---
**The Drag Strip and Race Day Challenges**
After spending time at the recycling yard, they make their way to the drag strip, which used to be an old airport. The facility is vast, with plenty of room for staging and racing. The crew is ready to tackle the day’s races, but there’s a hiccup: the van is running on front-wheel drive because the rear axle hasn’t been tracked down yet. “We’re just gonna run it front-wheel drive until we get back to Vandermeer,” one team member explains. “Then we want to make it all-wheel drive again for Vandermeer.”
The races are intense, with temperatures soaring and cars pushing their limits. The crew makes two passes: a 12-8 (1.12 seconds) and a 13-4 (1.34 seconds). Despite the challenges, they’re happy with the results. “We’re not trying to win anyway,” one member shrugs. “We’re just here to have fun and see what we can do.”
---
**Post-Race Reflections and Plans for the Future**
After a long day of racing and driving, the crew finally makes it back to their hotel. They’re exhausted but satisfied with how things went. The van is running well, and they’ve managed to keep it cool despite the heat. “We didn’t have to pull over once today,” one member notes proudly. “That’s a good day.”
Looking ahead, they’re planning to head back to Colorado after the race week concludes in Pueblo. Once there, they’ll work on getting the van ready for its next challenge: a full-tuned run with all systems operational. The crew is hopeful that the van will make it through the remaining races without any major issues.
---
**Final Thoughts**
As they wrap up the day, the crew reflects on their experiences. They’ve met fans, explored unique spots like Nobody's Auto Recycling, and pushed their car to its limits. Despite the challenges, they’re grateful for the opportunity to share their journey with viewers. “I hope you guys have been enjoying the daily uploads,” one member says. “It’s been a mission, but we’re trooping through it.”
With three more days of racing ahead, the crew is ready to tackle whatever comes next. They’re excited about the possibility of running full-tuned passes and seeing just how fast they can go. For now, they’ll rest up, recharge, and prepare for the long drive home.

This concludes the day’s adventures in Kansas during race week. Stay tuned for more updates as the crew continues their journey across the country!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enall right it's 7:30 in the morning I got me some breakfast free some hotel waffles you know and we're off to Kansas so we have been on the road for close to two hours and we just made it to our first checkpoint this is the geographical center of the 48 states yeah you forgot the geographic Col yeah here in Kansas we are in the middle of the country the official spot here you're married at the center of the u.s. there as he was doing good that time we didn't have to pull over once I once the no hood life we did take out a poor innocent butterfly though he's caught right in the center of our intercooler so it was speed factory's fault yeah yeah we just refilled our water sprayer then I just doused off the radiator a little bit but she's been going good yeah that's really not made for taking road trips oh yeah like driving this car one week this bar in a full race car yeah there's a reason people don't do it okay it's a little warm it's doing it man yeah and it's really hot out we are right here right in the middle of the whole country that's pretty cool so we just have to come over here and take a picture just to make sure that we were following the correct route and now we can head back to the main highway which is down this road right here and be back on our way you can see all the other race week cars pulling in just coming in and out so I'm gonna move the van over self other cars didn't take some pictures right here by the little monument so we just made it to our second checkpoint for the day we are only about ten minutes from the track pretty much made the trek here there they're giving hot dogs away and everything for all the Reese weekers stopping by this place is really cool though it's called nobody's auto recycling and they have a whole bunch of really old cars they have a whole get out here with some really cool stuff this place looks we were probably gonna go look around and all the stuff they got out here for a little bit nobody else's Auto on Facebook nobody's show on YouTube and that's what I got going on you can inventory that way I do three to four videos a week on YouTube so you can keep up I do a lot of new inventory videos we did fill you with this video with tonight and stuff things like that all kinds it's all gearhead stuff so if you guys got some classics out there and need some parts this is probably where you can it's probably where you're gonna find it I'll go take a look around look at all these things this is so cool I know Kyle is gonna come over here and get the drone shot Kyle loves his little drone dude this is sick I'll sell you all of it do guys how cool would it be if we came down here and picked up on these old cars fixed it up we got like an old school and just leave it all rusted out but just get it running this place feels so roadkill Hey roadkill would come here for sure dude there's some badass stuff out here dude this is sick oh it's like a Model T or something you get one of these things in case Bobbitt yeah these we got one of these I wouldn't eat the 2kz I don't know what this thing is but this thing's tight simcha the dope little car I always wanted to get like a tiny old-school car you like a little K Series in it or something I got so much cool stuff out here you lean into gas perfectly father run out of gas right now butter we just pulled into the drags literally just pulled in we might not even make it to the pit come on man you can do it maybe not but we could actually put the 85-minute right now yeah we can you start with me and yeah let it all out how's Fred he's probably with we're not gonna have to drain anything we're training here right now find gaming use the only one that's already here we're like an hour head up yeah there's like nobody here right of the first people here for once man we just mob for actually on Akana we are in sputtering like gravy oh it's like an old airport or something looks like without wider I don't know where the trek those are those are sick I think our girls are cruising were in the staging lanes I like how my community oh we barely made it on guys we don't even have to nd8 we barely made it through the entrance for perfect so I put five gallons in it uh-huh on the way here just to be sure your calculations or yeah I think we could just put 85 in at this point and we are over it to McDonald so I was like I was like oh we're 38 miles away we need to play just about a gallon in there and I just kind of guessed and just splashed it in there right when the lady's like all right you're good it started yeah no we're good we made it well after another long day of driving we made it to the track we are out here at the SRC a drag strip day for day four so this place is really sweet this actually used to be an old airport so they have tons of room everywhere you can see this is probably all a taxi space for the planes was a hatchet concrete it goes like way down that way and then the drag strip is right down here and it's right next to an airport and it looks like it's also like military base or something too they got a bunch of military trucks so this place is really cool but everyone just got over here and we just had the drivers meeting and we are ready to get the route to see in line we are still leaving it front wheel drive just because we did not have enough time to track down the rear axle that we need the plan is to probably just run it front wheel drive until you back to Vandermeer then we want to make it all wheel drive again for Vandermeer and then try to turn this thing up as long as everything goes good until then and the drive today was not as bad as the last one is long yeah definitely it was still a really hot drive but I was sure it felt like a short compared to like the first yeah we didn't have the mountains and stuff to go through and the routes he did really well we'd never had to pull over on the side of the road to let it cool off we were able to just keep filling our reservoir at every gas stop we had and we just made it and we were good so we're getting ready to put her in line right now because they just called up the index classes and they're just running them all at once today so right when they call us up we just can put it in line whatever and they just did so everyone's starting to line up right now we're gonna line her up and yeah I try to get that 12 oh all right make our first pass of the day it is super hot outside but we'll see how the old route is he does 13/7 at 1:13 spinning first like crazy he is fun like crazy off the line yeah we're gonna have to put this thing back in line of the 13-7 it was just spinning like crazy should we take some air out of the front tires or yes I am but no because you were just spinning out of the to 464 he wasn't going it felt like it was on glass close at 13 7 yeah 13 7 your 113 yes good a little air out of there because I think they're like all the way up yeah just take take them down like always can you my eyes or something they're like 32 yeah so take some air out nice hair man thank you how do you do Jamie ten eight days show launching but it worked ten eight though today yeah so we're getting closer and I turned it down like 15 percent on the duty cycle nice man so I'm probably just gonna turn that in and in yeah yeah good idea yeah make it all the way home as awesome though 1080 thank you appreciate it man after all it's been through it's been through a lot guys getting ready to make our second pass today the first point is fun like crazy I think on this one I'm gonna try to do a Burnout we let a little bit of air out of the tires nothing too crazy just like I said I don't want to try to snap the axles they're back in the 12 he's gonna warm up the tires this time if you harm well we're now definitely help 12-8 at 1:16 I'm bad 12-8 back in the 12 now we get there we're trying to go last run tonight so it's hot out our cooler out I think we let it cool off a bit and try it one more time do it like that nighttime shine I'll be down in a couple hours yeah back in the 12 hi 12 first I thought I was the 11 one I was like holy crap no no you're spinning still yeah I was still spinning a lot I don't want to let any more air out than not though because at the top of first year it started to chatter hard I did it I don't want to yeah right nothing breaking an ex or something so not too long ago I did be 12 8 in the minivan we were gonna put it back in line to try to go into the deeper twelves but we thought you know there's really no point our class is super tight we're not trying to win anyways and we already got it back into 12 out here as well and we don't want to put any more stress on this so we decided to load everything back up and we're calling it good there and we already turned into 12 eight slip we have a big drive day tomorrow so I'd rather not beat on it as much as possible and it will also give us some time to hopefully track down some of your axles so we can get the all-wheel drive fixed as well so when we get back to Colorado we can hook all that stuff back up and makes it better passes yeah we just got her loaded up and we're calling it there and Jamie and then actually also took off Jamie ran his ten and now is it ten eight he was one and done and they're already headed back to the hotel and I think Ruby's making another pass Cletus has done with Leroy he's happy with his past as well and I think we're all just kind of burnt out or at least we were all really tired and it would be nice to get back early and actually get a full night of sleep because yeah we've been on the road and the editing I hope you guys have been an innovation yeah I hope you guys have been enjoying the daily uploads at least but it's been a mission for sure yeah we've been trooping through it you know she's running good we're just not gonna put any more stress on it than we need to so we're just gonna call Daryl probably out here for a little bit longer we'll see what else we got going on today but that's gonna be it for the race inside of thanks got the 1280 in at least you made two passes yeah made two passes and now she's ready to start heading back home to Colorado I can't can't wait to start hitting in that day four we still got three days but it's been really fun we've had a lot of fun just hanging out you know just saying hi to everyone and everything it's been really cool all right guys we just got to our hotel for the night we just got dinner with Trevor not too long ago but today was a little bit of a slower day we only raised throughout is he twice we didn't like a 13-4 and then the 12-8 it's called a good there like I said we want to email the car too much and I know you guys want to see it go much faster obviously the Rossi is capable of a lot more and I'm gonna tell you guys right now the plan is to get throughout us you back to Colorado we have one more race which is in Pueblo we're plugging leaving front-wheel drive for that one as well just try to pop off another 12 but like how we have been and then once we get it back to Vandermeer I'm gonna do my best to track down the rear axles in time I'm gonna try to get on that tomorrow and have them ready so we can get this thing all-wheel-drive again and I want to put it back on the nine hundred or like my 800 horsepower tuned after we get a index pass at vandemere we'll get that out of the way and then go full scent with the route to see I knew you guys want to see it with all that being said obviously has to make it back to Colorado nor its own power and I cannot guarantee that that's the plan if she makes it through I'm gonna go full sand and turn it all the way up and we'll see if it holds if the axles hold and it gets a decent launch her honesty is gonna read so that's where we're at we just wanted to hang out more today and not pick up the camera as much we were talking to fans and stuff like that during race week and I'm just glad that we've made it this far so I'm gonna wrap this video up right now I hope you guys enjoyed the video either way I'll see you guys later\n"
