I Tried A DIY Mini Planter Kit

Hi everyone today I'll be trying a DIY kit from Concrete Concrete This is a mini planter kit and it comes with the planter mold six pigmented concrete and these cute reusable jars sandpaper and the instructions that take you to the video tutorial and the list of things that you need before getting started Okay let's get nifty What I like so far is the pigmented concrete Sure there are some scraggly bits I found in these jars but some people might want that for texture like Mr Concrete Concrete's video I used some condiment containers I saved from all the takeouts I've done last year Don't trash those plastic containers they'll come into use sooner or later I actually haven't done much concrete projects My colleagues have and I always remember them saying to go for the peanut butter texture but mine is a little loose Oh well it may increase the dry time but I'm sure it'll be fine I don't think there's any rule on how to pour I'm going to show you all the colors being used in this video so you could see how nicely pigmented these concretes are Also definitely watch his videos he covers techniques on marbling and doing some cool stuff with concrete This kit is pretty good for one day activity It's a great introduction to get you excited about using concrete as a medium And since I get to keep this mold I feel like my friends are gonna get these for their holiday gifts this year I'm an experienced crafter and I'll say with confidence that this is a perfect kit for anyone beginners to advanced It's just fun and there's an immediate gratification I gave these guys at least three hours to dry but it's a project you can do within 15 minutes or less

I sound like an insurance company Let's talk about price This kit was $51.34 and I got three planters from it if I were to buy the mold concrete pigment all separately it would probably cost me around $60 and I would have way more materials left over which isn't too bad You'll get to make way more than three planters but I'm good with just the three and I think there's something satisfying about using everything up and it's also a good feeling to know that I'm supporting a small business

All right this is such an easy project I mean how much easier can it get when it's just mixing and pouring So I definitely love this size as well I think what I'm going to do with mine is turn it into a little salt container and make sure you know I'll coat it with some concrete wax to make it food safe I highly recommend it And if you guys have any other kinds of DIY kits that you want me to try let me know in the comments below and until then please take care and I'll see you next time Bye
