Quick Dough Dinner

Starting a Supper with Noe That's Healthy: Making a Delicious Meal from Scratch

As we continue to make supper, I'm excited to share with you my favorite dough recipe and how to use it three ways. This recipe comes together so quickly with no longer rising time, resulting in a delicious meal that will impress your family. Today, we're going to make a deep dish crust pizza, cheesy garlic breadsticks, and a bonus dessert of cinnamon sticks with an amazing cream cheese dipping sauce.

To start, we'll be tripling the recipe. We'll begin by activating our yeast in warm water. This type of yeast is designed for quick rise doughs, which will help us achieve our desired results quickly. While the yeast is activated, we can mix together the remaining ingredients. First, we'll add a bit of oil and eggs to get everything started. Then, we'll gradually add in the flour and salt, taking care not to overmix.

Now that our dough is coming together, it's time to knead. As I mentioned earlier, this recipe doesn't require much time or effort when it comes to kneading. We can simply use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment or do it by hand using a wooden spoon or your hands. Once our dough is fully mixed and there are no more dry spots, we'll let it rest for about 10 minutes before shaping.

Shaping our dough into its final form will depend on the dish we're making. For our pizza, we'll divide the dough into three equal parts and roll out each portion into a thin circle. For our breadsticks, we can simply cut the dough into long, thin strips. And for our cinnamon sticks, we'll shape the dough into small rectangles.

Next, let's talk about how to top our pizzas. For this recipe, I recommend using a combination of mozzarella and parmesan cheese. You can also add your favorite toppings, such as pepperoni, mushrooms, or bell peppers. Just remember to leave a bit of space around the edges so that the crust doesn't get too soggy.

Now it's time to pop our pizzas into the oven! We'll preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. While the pizza is baking, we can prepare our garlic breadsticks by brushing them with a mixture of minced garlic and olive oil.

Once the pizzas are done, we'll remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before slicing. For our cinnamon sticks, we'll bake them in the same oven as the pizzas, but at a lower temperature to prevent burning. We'll also brush them with a mixture of melted butter and cinnamon sugar while they're still warm.

Finally, it's time to make our cream cheese dipping sauce! This is the perfect accompaniment to our cinnamon sticks. Simply mix together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a bit of milk until smooth and creamy. You can adjust the amount of milk to achieve your desired consistency.

And there you have it – a delicious meal that's perfect for any occasion. With this recipe, you'll be able to impress your family and friends with your culinary skills without spending hours in the kitchen. So go ahead, give it a try, and let me know what you think!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi it's Rena from Noe that's healthy and we're making supper again as always we're keeping it really simple on making you look like a pro in the kitchen I'm showing you my favorite dough recipe and how to use it three ways it comes together so quickly with no longer Rising time and you'll end up with a deep dish Crust Pizza cheesy garlic breadsticks and a bonus dessert of cinnamon sticks with an amazing cream cheese dipping sauce your family may love you even more for making this meal now let's cook supper you can make this directly into your pan just like I did with the focaccia recipe but if we're going to be making triple the batch then you might want to make it in a bowl it's just a whole lot easier and then divide it between you know the pizza and the breadsticks and the cinnamon sticks so here I'm tripling the recipe and we're going to have our warm water and we're going to start off with our yeast it is quite a bit of yeast but that is only because it's a quick rise dough and this will make it go quickly now I'm using this great dough whisk I really like it it helps to get together a dough really nicely so just mix it in for a second and let it sit we're gonna let that sit for just a bit just to make sure that the yeast is activated and it's going to Bubble up nicely working with yeast might be intimidating but I promise this recipe is so easy to put together it does not require much time pointy yeast is ready and now we're going to add in the remaining ingredients you're going to start off with your oil and the eggs mix that up just a bit and then we can add in our flour and salt at first you're going to add in most of the flour and then leave the last cup or so at the end to slowly add in you might need more of them with the recipe calls for it just kind of depends on the type of flour you're using and the environment that you're in you want to be in more of a sticky dough again you don't need to be here kneading it for hours that's not the point that's supposed to be really simple the only downside to tripling the recipe is that you do need to put a little bit more elbow grease into the dough because it's a bigger batch of dough and if you made them one recipe at a time in the pans it's just a little bit easier to work with at this point it's a little bit too hard for the dough hook so I'm going to remove this and I'm going to either go in with my hands or with a spoon now we're going to start off with our pizza and we're going to take about a third of this dough and put it into a round pan you can make it into more pans you can make it into a thinner crust I'm doing a deep dish Crust Pizza it's a thicker crust and we're going to first put a little bit of olive oil right into this pan and then we're going to take some of that dough and put it into the pan on top of the oil put a little bit of oil on your hands just so that it doesn't stick right into the pan goes put a tiny bit more olive oil at the top of the dough I'll just press that into the pan all around you'll see it's going to pull back a bit but that's fine now we're going to leave this to sit for just a couple of minutes the pizza has been sitting spread out one more time and try to make a little bit of a crust but you don't have to pop up the sides a bit look how great this dough is at first it was really sticky but once you add a little bit of oil it becomes an amazing dough sauce right onto there spread it out and now top it with your cheese no waiting this goes straight into the oven we have the pizza is done and you can of course make these doughs into more than just one pan you see this is a pretty high crust you want to make it thinner you can make it into two pans and same thing with the breadsticks you can make it into two pans they'll have a thinner bread and then it also goes a longer way so totally up to you and then we can just cut this oh my goodness it looks amazing it's very hot but cooked all the way through nicely it has a nice cheese and the sauce and it is a nice thick deep dish pizza before you put the dough into the pan for the breadsticks you do want to make this delicious garlic herb mixture all you're going to need is some olive oil minced cloves garlic parsley and salt give that a good mix into this pan we're going to put some of that delicious garlic olive oil herb mixture and then put the dough directly on top of that now put a little bit more of it on top of that reserve some for the very end don't use all of it spread that out into the pan the dough is sat just a bit and I'm just going to make sure it's spread out nicely into the pan one more time fits really evenly and now again this goes into the oven bread is already out of the oven and now we're going to cut them into our sticks so so whatever size you like I'm just going to use a pizza cutter go down the pan these are really fluffy on the inside and now right away we're going to top it with some cheese of course these are good without the cheese but I think it's even better with cheese I'm just covering it and letting the cheese melt this way but you can also put it back in the oven uncovered once that cheese has melted I'm going to take the rest of that garlic olive oil mixture and brush it over the top I think I'm going to pull one out to show you do you see that cheese pull there oh look at that this is Fluffy it's not super dense it is cheesy and amazing now for the cinnamon sticks this is the dessert part I don't typically share a dessert for your supper but this just has to be shared it is that good and it used this quick dough you're gonna take your pan you're gonna put a little bit of oil at the bottom spread that out of course you can use a brush but I'm just gonna use my hands and for the cinnamon sugar part you're going to take some sugar and put that into the pan eyeball it it's okay just a thin layer to cover it and then some cinnamon to cover that you're gonna put your dough right on top of that some oil on top of this dough and spread it out now we're going to let this sit as well and then we're going to top it and bake a cinnamon stick so I've been sitting a bit I'm going to press it out again a little bit more into the pan now again put a little more cinnamon sugar on top and you guessed it this goes into the oven now for the best dipping sauce to go with these cinnamon sticks you're going to make an amazing cream cheese dip and so all you're going to need is some cream cheese powdered sugar vanilla extract and a little bit of milk to thin it out the cinnamon sticks are done and again we're just going to cut into them to make a little stand there you have it this is done this tastes absolutely incredible let's take out one of the pizzas to show you look at that deep dish thick crust cheesy Saucy really nice crust on there and we have our breadsticks let's get one of those out and that's a big piece look at that look at that dough that's a really good dough it's not dense it's fluffy it's flavorful because of all that delicious garlic and herbs on it and then of course you can't forget the cinnamon sticks and so let's get one of those out too oh my gosh my kids Rave about this but you can't just have it on its own you must have it with the incredible cream cheese frosting right here that little dip dip that in there and take a bite oh my gosh you're gonna love this meal perfect dessert to this very high in carb but kid-friendly meal I know they're gonna love it I know you're gonna love it because this
