Why DON’T we sell our Gaming PCs! 😮 [Answering your Questions & Assumptions! - Q & A]

The Cool Factor: How Amazing is That It's Great Will You Do Giveaways in the Future Right This Is a Really Difficult Awkward Question to Address Right The Quick Answer Is Yes But with a Massive Like Asterisk and a Lot of Small Prints So the Live Stuff We Were Talking About Make Sure You Get Subscribed for That We Are Going to Be Doing Giveaways in the Live Stuff It Won't Be of Actual PC Parts Because No One Can Buy Any of Those at the Moment But It Will Be Really Nice High-End Peripherals and Stuff Like That

The reason I haven't done a giveaway in a while is because the person who wins the giveaway is never actually like a viewer of the channel. It's just someone random who enters the giveaway because they want to win something which is fine. Like, that's what the giveaway exists for. The fact that the giveaway is fair is that everyone can enter. That's why I want to give stuff away during the live stream. Because you've got to be tuned in. So all of you guys who watch the videos will tune in and then we'll give it to one person live, like it won't last 30 days it will last an hour during the live stream. And I think that's a fair way of doing it.

I basically learned the hard way early on that if you do giveaways to grow your channel nobody actually cares about your videos because all they want to do is win the computer which is a shame but that's just the way it goes right. What is the most youngest photo of you so on your screen now enjoy what age you got the inspiration to do YouTube and start a tech channel. I was it was beginning of jan 2013 which means I was 11. I think I was 11 years old, I put a little video up when I was like 12 or something because apparently everyone at school would always ask me questions about how to do this thing in PowerPoint or how to like remove the background of an image in Adobe Fireworks because apparently that's what we liked to do. And everyone would just ask me these questions and then I'd be all "I don't know" but they wouldn't believe me so I made tutorial videos instead, and I used to send people around the classroom links to those videos.

That's a true story it's great. My favorite color is blue. I mean come on I mean court blue three c7 cff that's the hex code for anyone wondering RGB increases your game FPS this man he knows RGB increases your FPS and if you haven't got any you've got no game next question are you thinking of doing real life content like vlogs or anything. Yes, if you haven't seen our tour where we actually move into the office as a whole series we did check that out. I might start a new YouTube channel at some point in the future doing very different kind of content like businessy kind of content which is another huge area I'm passionate about but kind of bear with me stay tuned maybe we'll do that.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyeah this is absolutely outrageous i will not have it oh no boys i've been asked and my sword code and mother's maiden name will all be on your screen now what is up guys welcome back to another geeker video and today i am finally doing it i am answering your guys most frequent comments questions assumptions about me absolutely nothing is off limits i got all these comments from recent youtube videos but then also a youtube community post i put out a little while ago so if you want to be involved in future videos like these make sure to get subscribed and keep your eyes on that youtube community section to get involved so without any further ado i've got jake off camera who's going to ask me the questions so they're all a complete surprise let's do this what was your dream job when you were a kid so what was my dream job as a kid now this is gonna sound so cheesy but like i had to be youtuber like that's all i've ever like throughout the whole of secondary school i started my channel when i was in year seven which is like the equivalent of sixth grade in america and all i ever wanted was to be a youtuber and that's happened so thanks have you ever broke a pc when building it have i ever broke a pc um up until this morning the answer was no as of this morning the answer is yes i'm not even joking um we'll get some b-roll of this but this is a ryzen 3 cpu that i dropped on the floor this morning and the pins are bent and i tried to fix it with screwdriver and one of the pins snapped off so as of this morning yes i have why do you say today at the end of every sentence can we have a today counter on the next bit of winky face so i get this all the time people are like james you keep saying today like i go in today's video we're going to build this system and then today we're going to ben it's just like i always say the word butt but i always cut butts out so i might start getting today out i'm very sorry it's just a force of habit i try my best have you ever watched naruto i have no idea what that is probably an anime but no i haven't sorry why your face look like tom holland second are you a secret brother okay yeah stop stop stop but people right i want one question one question for comment everyone thinks i look like tom holland i don't see it but if you want to see my recent 100k tom holland spider-man special check it out in the card section now how did you start getting texts sent to you i was just wondering how the company gets in touch with you so that's another one i get a lot how do you get free tech can i be a youtuber and get all the free tech probably yes actually most youtubers be like no you can you do have to have an audience right like a brand wants to send you something for it to be seen by people and that does take a while to build up like i think my first ever product i got sent and it could be wrong was a really cheap pair of creative headphones and the company just emails you they find your channel and they send you an email and then sometimes brands will actually like talk to each other and be like oh have you worked with this guy if you shouldn't then you should and that's how most of my relationships are born about i've also approached companies events and stuff like that but that's not normally as successful because companies don't just give that free product to anyone but yeah once you start getting an audience you get a product it's quite cool when will the prices drop off the cpus and gpus and when will they be available again yeah that's a very if i knew the answers to that question i'd be a very rich man sadly the answer is probably not for a while but we can hope and pray keep going gamers we got this when are you going to start streaming start streaming thank you for asking me that question um i don't know when this video is going out but we are going to do like a live stream a week for three weeks uh so make sure you get subscribed and follow us on twitch for that we're gonna have live giveaway drops for international viewers as well which i know you guys are excited for what did your parents think when you started gaining speed on youtube this year i really like this great it's a great question who asked that lewis harren lewis nice question my friend they were actually really supportive of it youtube does take over your life like you guys might think like we make like couple videos a week like it's pretty chill it is the most time consuming stressful thing i have ever done i love it to bits um i think they were they kind of supported it because it was always a hobby and i was always learning things from it like i learned how to build pcs i learned how to edit i learned how to kind of grow an audience which in 2021 and beyond is really powerful knowing how to kind of organically build an audience and but they've been really supportive of it i think when they saw i could make a living out of it that was when it was all good to go so happy days will you ever start a pc making business i'm going to be really honest with this question and as much as i'd love to i'm going to say no there's a couple of reasons for it i work with a lot of brands who already do an amazing job and that kind of stuff we've got some alpha sync videos coming soon and those pcs are really really good the pricing is mega mega competitive and to be honest i'd rather be on the other side working with the pc building brands as opposed to actually building them and selling them myself what do you do with all the pcs i get this question so much and so many people with my last dance are going to be going couldn't you just start a business you know just like selling the pcs you've already built um we take them apart and they all go back down into parts to go over on the shelf over there and stored forever no i'm joking and we reused the parts quite a lot some stuff doesn't get reused like obviously uh the cases only tend to get used kind of once or twice but i don't actually have like a hundred pieces we've got quite a few in the office like both the editors have one and then harry who does our benchmark and he's got a couple as well so those guys somehow swallow them all up um but no we haven't got loads around the office i'm afraid assumption the accent is employed the accent um i get loads of people asking me where my accent's from i am british i am english that's why i have an english accent does it get a bit exaggerated on the video for fun comedic effect a bit but i actually do speak like this largely in real life so i mean some people would be like yes it's real some people will be like oh my god he has a really annoying voice which is fine what do you have to think about most when you build a pc for the first time um good question i thought about a lot when i built my first game in pc i'd watched maybe like 100 hours it was wild of like tutorials and stuff i think really it's just knowing what you're doing and in the order you're doing it if you know the order you're doing things and you know how to do each bit then that's all good i think if you don't know the order and you just kind of jump in and open the cpu caller you get a bit confused that's pretty much it how much do you earn and i really want pc can you build me one the second part of the answer is no not really we've covered that sorry i am very sorry like a lot of people want me to build but i can't do it i'm very sorry and the first question um not as much as you'd think let's say that much i'm no liners yet watch this space what motivated you at the start of your youtube channel i really like that question if you guys couldn't tell i love talking about youtube it's the thing i'm like the most passionate about in the whole world honestly i wanted to make loads of money that's how i started and then three years in i think i earned about 12 um so i quickly realized i wasn't going to make a lot of money um but i think the amount that i learned in that first year you know like i went into my media classes in like 9th and 10th grade and that kind of thing at least the american equivalent right and i knew so much about media and i'd learned so much and i'd earn some money to go and buy all this camera gear and i think i just love the process and everything that i've learned from it like i haven't just learned how to build pcs i've learned how to present hopefully i've learned how to work with brands i've learned how to build an audience like i've learned so so much and honestly i think the variety that's in my job is what continues to motivate me and seeing you guys tweet me photos and the pcs you've built that's crazy like if i build this pc and like 50 of your building that's amazing how cool
