Tasting Astronaut Ice Cream Sandwich

Welcome to Another Emmy Eats: A Taste of Space Food

Greetings my lovelies, hi welcome back to another Emmy eats today I'll be eating this and it's another astronaut ice cream snack it's called freeze dried vanilla flavored ice cream sandwich space food if you missed my previous installments of astronaut food i shall put the links down below i've eaten astronaut ice cream and astronaut bananas i bought this online i'll put the information down below in the description box where i found this this is ready to eat no refrigeration needed

I'm excited to share with you this product from Mountain House, pioneers of space food. This product was not originally developed for the early Apollo missions, but it's still called Space Food. It's freeze-dried and vacuum-packed into a special foil pouch. Freeze-dried foods are used by astronauts eating under weightless conditions in space.

It's my understanding now that astronauts do not eat this anymore, but it's still called Space Food anyway. I'm excited to see what the texture of this is going to be like and let's see what's inside. Wow, it's wrapped in this kind of parchment paper it has a slice on it it probably helps to get the wow it's making a mess so here it is.

And it looks like an ice cream sandwich although it looks a little narrower than an ice cream sandwich it's very light. It smells like an ice cream sandwich, kind of milky and sweet. Iadakimasu, whoa! So quite messy but it's good. I actually like the texture of this better than the astronaut ice cream.

The cake part of the ice cream sandwich has become a cookie so it tastes just like a cocoa-flavored cookie. But the ice cream is exactly the same as the astronaut ice cream that I tasted in my other video. It's very styrofoamy and light, while being kind of crunchy and slightly sticky when you chew it.

It tastes a little bit like non-dairy creamer in terms of its milky richness, but a little bit vanilla-flavored tastes a little artificial granted but very powdery and dry and crumbly. Kind of gets all over the place, but the flavors are really good in my other video people commented that I should allow it to melt so let's do that.

I'm going to take one of these little chunks and just allow it to melt and see what that experience is like. That's nice as well! It melts similar to the inside of a malt ball, just kind of melts and leaves like a creamy kind of milky film in your mouth. This is not ice cream because again it's not cold!

Yeah, very fun snack and I think I'd actually eat the whole thing of this so let me know in the comments below what your favorite means of ice cream delivery are? Do you like it on a cone, sugar cone, wafer cone, sandwich, sundae, banana split? Let me know, I want to know!

Don't forget to like and subscribe and I hope you guys enjoyed that! I hope you guys learned something and I shall see you in my next video.

Toodaloo!
