Last Month's Reading Experience: A Look Back and Moving Forward

I did last month which didn't go that great I pulled three books out and I only read one of them um the one I read was from Blood from Ash that was pretty good and then I also pulled um the one I picked from it was um The LiThe Library of Lost Things which I have DNF'd for now because I was really not enjoying it don't know and I started These Violent Delights but I didn't finish that either I don't know last month was just a horrible reading month for me I was just in a mood it might be that way for February as well because of the bleakness of outside I don't know that's just really affecting me and I have to really like honor that I have to really I just had to go with my gut so cool two this month I don't be real lenient with myself because apparently I don't know so here we go I'm really nervous about this first one is Color Wheel oh okay so I'm gonna go online and look at a color wheel and then pick you know you know I'll show you okay here we go so I have it right here let's go ahead do I have sound on does even have sound no okay here we go it doesn't have sound but I'll tell you what it looks but it landed on white okay so cover it's gonna be either the cover or spine is white oh I see one that I don't want to read this month and I see one that I do want to read let me see if there's any stacks in front of me okay well I'm gonna go with this one because this is the one I want to pick so this one's predominantly white the spine is Dating Makes Perfect by Pin Tip done this is a white contemporary book um it's about like basically they make winnie practice fake dating in high school under watchful eyes so I think that's about it I don't know I just heard it says dating takes a rom-com twist whenever there's like a thing of rom-com I'm immediately drawn to it so I think I will read this this month I should have no problem with why contemporary but I did last month so who knows with me I'm all over the place let's want another one historical romance or otherwise interesting so I am reading a historical book this month before Wins but I really want to get on the historical historical romance game because let me just see oh you know what so I have three historical romances right here I have Her Knight With The Duke by Diana Quincy daring and the Duke by Sarah Mclean and my last Duchess by Eloisa Jane these are in a series I don't know I do have another one by Julia Quinn but a lot of people told me that's part of the Bridgerton series and I should read that in order so I didn't pull that one but okay so I read the back of all three of them and the two that appealed to me most I think are these two one that's really drawn my attention is daring with The Duke because I've heard a lot about it and specifically about Sarah Mclean so I think I might try that I don't know I might just try to read a little bit all three of these and pick one but I think I could read one of them now the other historical one I pulled I don't have a pool too I'm just punishing myself apparently is Where The Crawdad Sings by Bedelia Owens every time I talk about this book in my channel literally everybody has like all the best things to say so I'm like I should probably read this so I might and this one takes place in 1969 which technically is in the past so it's history it doesn't seem that long ago to me but then again I was born in the 80s so I'm already old myself so yeah I might read this one as well I've heard it's heartbreaking it's also a mystery thriller I don't know I want to check it out so yeah that's my two picks for this month please hope I do better than last month I need to have better reading this month so drastically so yeah those are the books I'm planning to read this month fingers crossed it'll be a good month for reading for me and all of those many things if you plan to read any of these books please let me know down below I actually know I am planning to do a reading vlog specifically for the Four Wins like I want to document it and so look out for that and maybe I'll do one for A Quarter Silver Flames if you're interested in that as well because I thought it'd be interesting because I'm excited for it but also I don't like Nesta so it could make for an interesting video I don't know let me know thank you guys so much for watching bye

going through some seasonal depression that this is the best of us i just i don't know why winners affected me so much this year i do know why covet is a big reason probably but it just is so i'm hoping to read a lot of lighter happier books this month i don't know we'll have to see so yeah let's get into it because there's a lot of books i want to read and i really hope i can get to them because last month i didn't do so well with my set tbr that happens when you're a mood reader first i'm going to start with some of the new releases that i really want to get to this month first one being at first comes like by alicia rye this is her last book in her contemporary series it follows gia who is a beauty expert and influencer and basically she has she gets this private message um from this international superstar that slides into her dms and she's like i didn't ask for this and then we follow um the guy who's a son of a powerful bollywood family soap opera star dev and he has a strange woman accusing of wooing him online and basically fake dating starts happening it sounds adorable you guys know how much i loved her previous book in this series called girl gone viral so i have very high expectations for this one then i have makeup breakup by lily menon also known as santa menon this is her first foray into adult fiction and specifically romance and this is about two characters it's a hate to love romance and they both have apps ones like for dating other ones for like breaking up and of course you can guess what's gonna happen i don't know it sounds adorable i really like her writing so i'm interested to see how she's going to move into the adult romance world what i'm here for then i have one i am most excited about the floor wins by chris and hannah you guys know my favorite book of all time is the nightingale so any chance there's a new christian hannah book i'm going to read it this one takes place in texas 1921 it's set in the great depression and the people who live through it and it's going to be intense if you haven't read a kristen hannah books i would say they're kind of soap opera e as they really talk on your emotional strings like goodness me like especially her last two ones i feel like she's kind of going into the historical route like with the nightingale and then the great alone um there and then this one it's all kind of historical books that are just really hard hitting and make you cry endlessly so i'm gonna need to bring my tissues out for this one i'm excited yet nervous all together for it then a why contemporary i want to read is a taste for love by jennifer yen this is about a girl that loves baking and basically one day when she's going to help out her family's like bakery competition she learns that every guy in there is asian american and her mom has set up this dating competition to win her heart and it sounds adorable honestly like baking with also kind of a competition for dating it just sounds adorable like the bakery is even called yin and yang bakery it just uh i love it ugh contemporary and it's the perfect month for it then i have one that doesn't come out till march but i'm trying to get a little bit ahead of arcs i say that knock on wood but this one is accidentally engaged by pharah this one comes out in march like i said and it's about a girl named marina who loves baking bread i guess i'm really into baking this month i'm not eating it basically her parents have found her a good muslim husband but she refuses to marry anyone who works for her father she won't be attracted to nadeem or a sweet charm or gorgeous smile and then um basically there's a baking opportunity and it's a cooking competition with the prizes of her dream any she will do anything to win even asking nadine to pretend that they're engaged but when it comes to love baking your bread doesn't always mean you get to eat it too i just i'm just a swoon-worthy person like it just sounds freaking adorable i love adorable things of course this month we have a court of silver flames coming out by sarah j maas this is her newest book it's not a new series is it is it continuing on with the like act of like a chord of it's still got the chord in the title but this one follows nest and cassian which i'm excited about but like i love casting cassian's great he's very you know witty he's funny he's a great guy nesta i loathe nesta is like horrible i know i'm not the one that feels that way i'm hoping she gets a really big redemption arc because girl needs it um and i don't know we'll have to see how this goes but i am going to read it i'll probably really enjoy it if i don't it probably just becomes a nest am i the only one that dislikes her this much please tell me i'm not but i'm gonna read it whether i like it or not i don't know been like the last new release i say that but it came out a couple months ago but i really want to read it is legend born by tracy dion this one came out a few months ago like i just said and it's a why a fantasy and there are nothing but amazing things about it so it's about a girl named um bree who basically learns that witnesses a magical attack on her very first night on this new campus that she's at a flying demon feeding on human energies society of so-called legend born students who hunt the creatures down and so she goes into it and then warm reveals themselves at a descendants of king arthur's knights and explained that a magical war is coming brie has to decide how far she'll go for the truth and whether she should use her magic to take down the society down or join the fight like i said i've heard nothing but amazing things about it so really excited for it so those are the books i plan to read i'm gonna pull for my tbr jar like i
