# Zomy Me Powerbank Review: A Comprehensive Look at the Product
Hi guys, it's Chris here from Tech Tablets with an accessory review here for your tablets. I haven't done many accessory reviews; I've normally just been focusing on just the tablets. I've never actually owned a power bank before—didn't really think too much about them because I just normally would plug my tablet into the wall or something like that. But until recently, I've been doing a little bit of traveling around, so I thought I would test out the Zomy Me Powerbank here.
This is the one I've got; it's the 10,400 milliamp version. You can see the size of it—it's about the size of well, if it's in the palm of your hand kind of thing. And the weight is quite good—nice aluminum construction here.
I was aware on the internet from various videos are out, but there's a lot around that apparently fakes. So if you see this lettering here quite dark and when you have the box and you notice that it's in English and it doesn't have this nice authentic label here, then you might have a forgery. So you're gonna be really careful about that and just check out and make sure you don't have forgeries but I got this one from AliExpress, and they did even put there it's the official one even so I was careful just to check everything. Apparently this should all be in Chinese which it is—information on the side if it's in an English you could have a fake one there—and eBay seems to sell a lot anyway.
The battery itself seems really good—apparently, it has some Samsung or LG batteries in there, so they're not like unknown brand batteries that could explode or something. If you're gonna have this in your backpack and you're gonna board an airplane, the last thing that you do is exploding batteries on you. And of course, you can't throw this in your luggage—you've got to take it with you—but on a nice long trip like that, you can basically double your battery life if you didn't doing a long-haul flight with a little battery pack like this.
And it basically comes with just this battery and you get this nice little cable here which is really good now. This is what you want—you want a small short cable so you're not losing some of that power through a long cable—and you use the same cable just reverse it around to charge it.
Now charging it takes around about uh four hours I think or six, six hours from completely empty—okay, let's get more precise here—you have this little tiny status LEDs here so you've got four of them, each one of them is 25 so when it's blinking when there's two there you're about 50 when you're down to the third one then you can you know you're around 75 somewhere down from 100 to 75 when that drops down. So there's quite a good little idea—there's a neat little way of showing how much better you really have left there.
So I'm just going to quickly show you how I can pretty much just double the battery life of the Surface 3 here I have if I just plug this in, plug that into the Surface because the Surface now runs with a USB and just plug that in just like that—so the battery pack will automatically just power up and it's flashing four lights there so somewhere between 75 and 100 def with the battery life. And you can see here now there's a little charging logo come this just popped up there, so it is charging the Surface and the time remaining there—and I have been testing it and using it out a little while seems to work quite well.
Of course, if you power off your tablet, it will charge it a hell of a lot quicker. Now the capacity of this is actually higher than the Surface three here so I could charge up even maybe my mobile phone almost and fully charge up the Surface through here—so it is quite a handy little thing to have and I do like the design of it weight-wise of course it's got batteries in there so it's a little bit heavy but it's not too bad at all—you can throw that in a pack or something—and they even do sell little fancy silicon cases if you wanted to stop it getting scratched up or anything like that.
I'm not going to worry about that at all but overall yeah I'm quite like the product in the fact that I can power my Surface here for—I can only get around about seven hours so with this pack here I could probably get maybe easily 15 hours, I'd say even more maybe because it's got even higher capacity there so good little battery there.
You can get other sizes—i know there's a 5,000 milliamp slimmer model if you don't want something that's so chunky there—and they even go up to a 16,000 milliamp model which is the larger one they do offer but I think it's all about another i don't know another inch or so longer there so and a bit heavier of course depends what your needs are there. So I'm quite happy and impressed with this little charger here—i know these battery packs are nothing new but new for me and I thought it would interest people of the channel as well because it's good to have something that you can top up the battery life there of your tablet—and i've been testing on some of the other tablets I've got my chinese ones here and they'll charge just fine with us so great little thing.
