Apple's Release of iOS 10: Exploring the New Stickers App Store

Today, Apple is going to be releasing iOS 10 worldwide in just a few hours. You're going to see your iOS device prompt you to update iOS 10 and a lot of you guys are going to enjoy the new messages application. In this video, I wanted to share with you guys a new feature that Apple just enabled and that is the stickers app store for the messages applications.

The Stickers App Store: A Separate Experience

One of the features that's been introduced is the stickers app store for the messages applications. This is going to be completely separate from your app store for your iPhone. When you tap on this button, which can be found at the bottom left of the screen, you'll get an app store icon. Tap on the plus sign where it says "store," and you'll find a brand new store for just stickers and emojis.

A Variety of Stickers Available

The stickers app store has got some Disney characters, Mario stickers, and additional emojis to add onto the messages application. You can download one of these by tapping into one of them that you want and clicking the "download" button. Once it installs, you'll find it in your sticker section. To start sending stickers, simply tap on the sticker that you want to send.

Managing Stickers

For whatever reason, you no longer want to use those particular stickers, all you have to do is go back, tap and hold, and then delete that sticker. You'll still keep it in your history, but you won't be able to see it in your sticker section anymore. However, you can download additional stickers from the App Store, which has a ton of them available right now.

Drag-and-Drop Functionality

Another cool feature is that you can drag some of these stickers directly into the conversation thread just like that. This adds an extra layer of functionality to the new stickers app store. Some of these stickers are animated, and they come in all shapes and sizes. I think you guys are going to really enjoy this.

A Feature for New Users

If you're new to iOS 10, I think you're really going to like this new feature built into the iMessages application. It's a great addition that will make sending messages more fun and engaging.

Updating to iOS 10

To update to iOS 10, as usual, go to settings, general, software updates. You'll be prompted to install the latest version, which is iOS 10 point zero point two one.
