Using a 3-in-1 Body Polish from First Aid Beauty: A Game-Changer for Keratosis Pilaris and Skin Irritation

For over five years, I have been using the 3-in-1 Body Polish from First Aid Beauty, which has revolutionized my skincare routine. This miracle worker contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) that work both physically and chemically to exfoliate the skin. If you suffer from Keratosis Pilaris or irritation on your arms or legs, this polish is a must-have in your arsenal. The AHAs in this product help break down dead skin cells and promote cell turnover, leaving your skin smooth and radiant.

Don't Forget to Exfoliate Your Ears and Feet

When it comes to exfoliating, many of us overlook certain areas that can easily get clogged with dirt and debris. I make sure to clean my ears thoroughly behind my ears, as well as scrubbing my feet regularly. In fact, I have a special foot mat that I use specifically for this purpose. My kids think it's fun to use the foot mat, which makes them want to take care of their skin even more. By exfoliating these areas regularly, you can prevent ingrown hairs and reduce the appearance of keratosis pilaris.

Shaving and Exfoliating: A Match Made in Heaven

If you're a wet shaver like me, exfoliating after shaving is essential. The AHAs in this product help open up your pores, allowing for a deeper and more comfortable shave. When I exfoliate my skin before shaving, I notice that the razor glides over my skin with ease, reducing ingrown hairs and irritation.

Hair Care: A Deep Conditioning Treatment

After exfoliating and shaving, it's time to focus on my hair care routine. I apply a hair mask to nourish and moisturize my locks, leaving them soft and silky. In this article, I'll be sharing some of my favorite hair care tips and tricks that have transformed my hair into the most luscious, healthy-looking mane.

Water Flossing: A Game-Changer for Gum Health

I'm obsessed with water flossing, and I use it every morning in my shower. By rinsing my mouth with half water and half mouthwash, I've noticed a significant improvement in my gum health. The water flosser is gentle on my gums, yet effective at removing plaque and bacteria that can lead to bad breath and gum disease.

Cold Water Rinse: A Refreshing Way to End Your Shower

After rinsing out my conditioner, I turn the water to cold and give myself a final rinse with filtered water. The cold water helps close my pores, locking in moisture and leaving my skin feeling refreshed and revitalized. For an added bonus, using filtered water instead of tap water can make a huge difference in the softness and manageability of my hair.

Microfiber Hair Towels: A Must-Have for Soft, Healthy Hair

When it comes to drying off after a shower, I use microfiber towels that are gentle on my hair. These towels absorb excess water without causing breakage or tangles, leaving my locks feeling soft and silky. With just three microfiber towels for under $15, you can try this game-changing product for yourself.

Glycerin: The Secret to Silky Skin

While still wet from your shower, apply a small amount of glycerin to your skin to lock in moisture. Rub it all over your body, then wrap yourself in a towel and apply lotion on top. This step is crucial for achieving the softest, silkiest skin imaginable. Trust me when I say that once you try this, you'll never go back to using regular lotion again.

Self-Tanning: A Must-Have for a Sun-Kissed Glow

To get the most out of your exfoliating routine, it's essential to self-tan right after applying your body polish. This will help your tan last longer and prevent unevenness. I apply my self-tanner after my skincare routine, making sure to blend well into any areas that may have gotten missed.

The Final Touch: Blowing Dry Your Intimate Area

Finally, no matter how clean you think you are, there's always a bit of moisture left behind in the intimate area. To ensure you're always fresh and bacteria-free, I use my blow dryer on a low and cool setting to dry this area thoroughly. This simple step makes all the difference in keeping your body odor at bay.

Leave-In Conditioner: The Perfect Finishing Touch

Last but not least, I apply a leave-in conditioner to my hair to keep it soft and manageable throughout the day. With these tips and tricks, you'll be on your way to achieving silky skin, healthy-looking hair, and a radiant glow that will make you feel confident and beautiful.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enif you were a woman you understand just how sacred how transformative the everything shower can be you go in a caterpillar and emerge a beautiful butterfly or in my case you emerge looking a little bit more like a naked mole rat but you have to trust the process we get there eventually and my everything shower is so dialed in you guys like I had to come on here because I have some tips some tricks that are totally game-changing specifically stay tuned to the end the last tip is something that once you do it once you try it you will never not do it again ladies like trust me on this let's get started with the ultimate everything shower routine starting either the night before or 1 to 2 hours before with a hair mask I like to do this once a week at least I have extremely damaged dry brittle hair and on my scalp I have my hair growth serum this is one of my all-time favorite finds because it's under $10 helps stimulate hair growth and I have a little gadget for that you know have a gadget for everything but this is not necessary it's just a nice to have I really like it because you put your hair growth oil in it and it vibrates it has the red LED light and as you push it on your scalp it distributes evenly cuz sometimes it's hard for me to get it all evenly on my scalp the LED light helps stimulate hair growth but more than anything it just evenly distributes the oil on my scalp then on the ends of my hair I first will spray it with water just to get it damp because hair masks work better on slightly damp hair then I apply this coconut hair oil to the midshaft down I saw a study that shows that coconut oil can actually go into your hair follicule and help repair and fill in any of the gaps in the cuticle and it's this hair expert that I follow talked about this so I put this first and then I follow that up with a Hair Repair Mask on top I will switch out the hair mask that I use this is my current favorite and then I put a shower cap on top and heat it up the heat will help stimulate the hair mask even more penetrate deeper into your hair and I like to let that sit for at least an hour but you can even do this the night before and then we are ready for the next step which is dry brushing I found out recently that if you do your dry brushing before your everything shower it starts to loosen that dry dead skin much better than if you do it in the shower because it's harder for the dry skin to come off when it's wet versus is dry Plus Dry brushing has so many other amazing benefits for your lymphatic system for circulation it can even help with reducing the appearance of cellula and it also just feels really good I just go in short Strokes all over my body and you can actually like see the dead skin flying around and the next thing I do this is going to sound so weird so out of pocket but I do my shaving I now dry shave which is a whole new concept for me I saw this girl talking about it on Tik Tok talk how it's so much easier how it was life-changing for her and I was like okay I'm intrigued I will try it and now this is what I do but the key benefit is just you're not in a wet slippery shower trying to contort your body and try not to slip like also with this I get a very smooth shave I have no ingrown hairs or irritation so for me this has been working phenomenal I do remove the guard on it to get the closest shave possible I'm demonstrating this on my arm but you can do this on any part of your body wet or dry now we are finally ready to step in the shower I first will put my phone in this specialty phone holder so I can watch my YouTube videos or listen to a podcast and my phone isn't getting all wet and I can still use the controls speaking of a multi- sensory experience I will do a shower steamer this takes it from a shower to almost feeling like a bath because you get the aroma therapy in the entire room and if I'm doing a morning everything shower which I typically do I'll do the eucalyptus and this like really wakes you up it clears my Airways I feel like it's energizing now at this point my scalp and hair mask have been on for at least an hour and I will rinse that off to start and then I do my shampooing and I always shampoo twice because the first time you're shampooing you're removing the debris the dead skin the hair product and then the second time you're actually cleaning your hair so I'll use more of a detox or clarifying shampoo first to remove product and debris and I do use my scalp massager I've been using this for years it makes a difference I'm telling you if you've not tried using a scalp massager they're like five bucks then I repeat and I use a different shampoo because I have such damaged hair I will either use the K18 that's kind of the bougie or the budget which is the L'Oreal ever pure they both have this bonding concentrate that helps repair extremely damaged hair now moving on to the conditioning first tip is to ring out excess liquid before applying your conditioner it will allow your conditioner to penetrate better and again for conditioner I will either use the K18 or the L'Oreal acidic bonding concentrate and sometimes if I feel like I need extra moisture I will do this argon hair oil mask if I just want that extra hydration and shine on the hair and while my conditioner is penetrating in my hair this is when I do my body washing and exfoliation so this is the silicone body scrubber so much more effective than just using your hand and it's much more hygienic than using alofa it stays clean and it's antimicrobial so I'll do that first and then this one the other side has your exfoliating brush which I like and this is more of a light exfoliation brush if I'm trying to remove self-tanner I'll use this knt that has more of a fine grit almost like sandpaper that will get every last bit of self-tanner off and this is my favorite body exfoliator of all time I've used this for like five or 6 years now it's the first aid Beauty KP body polish it has Alpha hydroxy acids in it that will go in both with physical and chemical exfoliation and if you are someone who has those like little red dots or irritation on the back of your arms or legs this will get rid of it and I also want to mention here don't forget to clean like your ears behind your ears and your feet I even have this ridiculous foot mat I got this specifically for my kids cuz their feet are filthy and they're able to like really scrub their feet down and they think it's fun to use it kind of looks like a little shower monster now if you are more of a wet shaving person this is the time in the routine that I would shave my body in the shower after exfoliating a little bit later on in the shower cuz this has given your body and your pores time to kind of open up and you're able to get a deeper smoother shave now I'm not done yet I'm really letting that hair mask sit in and this is the time of my shower where I do my water flossing I'm very into water flossing now with half water half mouthwash so I put that in my water flosser and I will water floss while in the shower because water flossing can be a little messy you know the water's coming out I'm in the shower anyway this is where I do my water flossing in the morning and I feel like my gum health has never been better and it also helps with just having fresh breath all day has made a big difference for me now I'm finally ready to rinse out my conditioner and what I will do for this is I will turn the water all the way to cold and I will rinse out my hair with cold water and this also is good for waking you up and then extra add added bonus if I really want my hair to look amazing I will use filtered water most of us have filtered water available in our home just fill up a cup and then I do a final rinse with filtered water this is just softer water and that translates to softer hair and now we're wrapping things up literally for my hair I will do these microfiber hair towels you get three of them for like under 15 bucks they are very soft on the hair they're absorbent and then these last two tips you guys I kid you not like they are must try not optional you must try this at least once so while you're still wet your hair is up in the hair tole but your body is still wet you get your glycerin I keep this glycerin in my shower get a little bit and rub this onto your still wet body the glycerin will lock in the moisture then you get a towel wrap it around yourself then apply your lotion on top and when I tell you you will have the softest silkiest like baby soft skin it is just so good and I also want to say I will do this and then I will do my self tan the next day if you do your self tan right after this right after you have your freshly exfoliated skin I find that it doesn't stay as well or last as long so I will do this and then my tan will either be that night or the next day and then this last tip is also a must try so after we've done our glycerin our body lotion we're all dry at this point and you've towel dried everything now is where I want you to get out your blow dryer put it on a low and cool setting and I want you to go and dry fully dry your intimate area cuz even if you think you've got it dry with the towel no it's still a little bit damp I am telling you you will never be as clean and fresh bacteria breathes in moisture so when you use the blow dryer again make sure it's a cool setting and you fully dry the area it makes the biggest difference and I'm telling you once you try this you will never not do it again and then the very last step is I will apply my leave-in conditioner in my hair and that is the end of part one of my everything are before part two where I go from naked mole rat to being tan and hair done and makeup and all that so if you want to see a part two with my self-tan routine hair and makeup routine updated then give this video a
