JULY TBR _ 2015

As I sat down to write this article, I found myself thinking about my summer reading plans. I had started several books already, but there were still a few that I was eager to dive into.

One book that I had been looking forward to finishing was Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. It is the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series and I had gotten about 50 pages into it before putting it down because I got out of my fantasy mood. However, with summer reading on the horizon, I'm excited to get back into the world of Greek mythology that Riordan creates. The book follows Percy Jackson as he navigates the world of demigods and monsters. I love Percy and was thrilled to have him back in this series. The book is a bit longer than some of my other reads, with 500 pages, but it's a small paperback, so I should be able to finish it quickly.

I had also started reading 20 Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler while on vacation recently. I got about halfway through the book before putting it down and then forgetting that I was reading it. However, when I finally sat down with the book again, I realized how much I had enjoyed the first half of the story so far. The book is a beachy summer read, but it's also quite dramatic, dealing with themes of grief and loss. I'm looking forward to finishing the book and seeing where Ockler takes the story.

Next up was Rick Steves London 2015, a guidebook that I picked up for my upcoming study abroad trip in London. As someone who is taking a history of London class this spring, I want to have some knowledge of the city before arriving there. The book seems like it would be a great resource to flip through and learn more about the city without having to sit down and read the entire thing. I've heard good things about Rick Steves and his shows, so I'm excited to dive into this guidebook.

Finally, I had two books that I was adding to my summer reading list but wasn't planning on starting until I finished some of my other reads. One of these books is Just One Day by Gayle Forman. Despite having been on my list for a while, I still haven't started this book yet. However, with the travel plans that I have coming up, I think it would be a great read to bring along on the plane. The story follows a girl who embarks on a three-week post-graduation European tour and meets a boy in Paris. It seems like the perfect summer read.

The last book on my list was Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. This is the first book in a spinoff series of Vampire Academy, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading almost a year ago during BookTubeathon. The main character, Sydney Sage, is an alchemist who becomes embroiled in a world of vampires and magic. While I didn't love Sydney as much as some of the other characters from Vampire Academy, I'm excited to see if she grows on me over time. The series seems like it could be a great addition to my favorite fandoms.

As I wrap up this article, I have to admit that my voice is dying and I'm getting a bit hoarse. Sorry about that! I hope you all enjoyed reading through my summer reading plans and got excited for the books ahead.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey YouTube it's so ER and by Zoey and today I'm going to do my July TBR and it's probably a little bit too over ambitious because one it is like a week into July already and I haven't really read anything yet because I've been sick for the past week and - I am going to VidCon at the end of this month I am so excited because I've never been to California I've never been to a convention and I'm going to meet all of my youtube and booktube friends and so many people I'm really excited but that also means less time for reading so that leaves me about two weeks to read these six books on my TBR and we'll see how it goes probably not well I'll probably only read like one book or like half a book but at least I had the intention of reading a lot of books this month so let's get started the first three books and I'm planning on finishing in July are actually three books that I'm currently reading and the first one is stop in the name of pants by Louise Rennison it's on my iPad because I got it from the library so I don't have it physically but it is the ninth book in the confessions of Georgia Nicolson I want to finish this series I think this month so I might read the 10th which i think is are these my bazoombas I see before me or something like that but I might end up reading the 10th just to finish up the series the next book is the Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan this is the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series and I got about 50 pages I think into this book and then I put it down because I got over my fantasy mood but I have been reading a lot of contemporary lately and I think I might want to switch it up and breed a fantasy book soon so I should probably finish the book that I started that is fantasy and Percy's in this book like I said before I love Percy and I'm so excited to have him back it is a pretty long book it's about 500 pages but it is a pretty small paperback so I think they'll be able to read it in about three or four days and also it's Rick Riordan and I'm able to read his books pretty quickly they're just so interesting and the third book that I'm currently reading is 20 boy summer by Sarah off clear I actually started this at the beach the other day and I got about halfway through it but then when I got home I put it down and kind of forgot that I was reading it so oh my throat I'm sorry about my voice right now but I want to finish it just because I'm halfway through it it's okay so far I like how it's beachy and I like beachy summer books but it is more dramatic it's not light-hearted at all it's about confronting a person's death and trying to get over it the next book I definitely want to start but not finished because it is Rick Steves London 2015 this is a guidebook for London because I'm studying abroad in London this upcoming year and it's a guidebook so I don't want to just sit down and read it all but I want to flip through it and just know more about London I am taking a history of London class in the spring semester so I'll know more about it in spring but when I arrived there I want to know some things so I'm gonna I'm gonna start this learn more about the place I'm going to live I was actually watching TV the other day and just flipping through channels and I came across one of his shows which is Rick Steves Europe and he seems so girl who is traveling through Europe and this might be a good book to bring on the plane if I finish the other ones because I'll be traveling on a plane to California for VidCon and then I'll be reading about a girl traveling through Europe it's about the girl who is on a three-week post-graduation European Tour and then she meets a boy and then they go to Paris for just one day and hang out and she experiences life and spontaneity it seems pretty cool Abbi last book on my TBR is bloodlines by Richelle maids this is the first book in these spinoff series of Vampire Academy and the series
