**Unboxing and Review: Wingspan 50 Quadcopter vs Original**
We're here to unbox the Wingspan 50 quadcopter and compare it to its original counterpart. As we take a look at the packaging, it's clear that the new model has some significant improvements.
First off, let's talk about the build quality. The new copter feels more premium, with a better plastic material that's noticeably lighter than the original. However, as we dig deeper, we find that the arms are still made of the same lightweight plastic. While it's not a deal-breaker, it's worth noting that the quality difference is quite noticeable.
Moving on to the features, one of the standout aspects of the new copter is the built-in lights in each arm. This is a major improvement over the original, which didn't have any lighting options at all. The addition of these lights will undoubtedly make flying safer and more enjoyable.
Now, let's take a closer look at the camera. In the past, Wingspan has struggled with their cameras, but it seems that this new model has finally addressed those issues. There are two cameras: one on the front that looks like it might be 4K-capable (although we're not entirely sure), and another on the bottom that appears to have a better lens.
As for the motors, Wingspan has opted for brushless motors, which will undoubtedly improve performance and durability. With these new features, we're expecting big things from this quadcopter.
**Comparison Time**
Now that we've unboxed the Wingspan 50, it's time to compare it to its original counterpart. As you can see, there are some significant differences between the two models. The build quality, camera quality, and lighting options all make a noticeable difference.
The original copter feels like a lightweight plastic, whereas the new model has improved materials that feel more premium. However, the arms on the new copter are still made of the same material as before. On the other hand, the built-in lights in each arm are a major improvement over the original.
Moving on to the camera, it's clear that Wingspan has addressed some of their previous issues with this model. While we're not entirely sure what to expect from the 4K-capable camera on the front, the lens on the bottom looks like it might be an upgrade from the original.
Overall, it seems that Wingspan has made some significant improvements with the new copter. We're expecting big things from this quadcopter, and we can't wait to put it through its paces.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome back a year ago i bought a 50 quad from aliexpress today i received a 150 4k quadcopter that boasts a lot of features so we now know the other quadcopter was good it has lasted but the camera was lacking what was advertised let's find out all right first things we got to do of course is rip this open i've been waiting a day or two now i think a day can't quite remember no two days because this arrived no it arrived on friday yeah so that part gets filmed later wise just for dreams is that actually they're packing it reminds me of a wise terminal this packaging literally when i opened it i thought it was a wise terminal i mean that's pretty interesting anyway it's not taped by any means the box was a little crushed but i do know that i bought the hard case package so hopefully everything's okay in there all right so now right off the bat of course here is the other case that i received on the 2021 quadcopter and here's our 2022 quadcopter now there is quite a price gap and the reason why i brought this out was to actually compare build quality so fifty dollars hundred fifty dollars you can already see that i think this one's bigger than this one here this is uh pretty light with everything in it and this has some weight with everything in it now let's open this up see what's in here i really like the color uh and the design i think that's really nice oh little handle this one have a handle no i had a little thing to throw your finger through it's definitely in the case quality um i find this one's i don't know a little more premium and it's got their uh logo thing going on right here so anyway let's uh let's open this up i'm like a kid in a candy store to couldn't play with this toy all right so right off the bat just like the other one when you open it you're greeted with uh some stuff here now this looks like a card i cannot read it's all japanese or chinese so oh does it open at all it's a very thick card so nope and then we have the instructions but it looks like we also oh wow the english instructions is way thicker it's probably because it's multi-language um yeah it's multi-language as you can see right here so pretty big pretty in-depth uh i don't know if it's the same software or anything yet we'll find that out when i go to do the uh review part of the video so in here we're going to be greeted with a few things because it feels like parts and parts are always nice to have now i bought the three battery edition um like i did when i bought the 50 one so i tried to keep it all the same and right away i could see that the batteries look way way better than what is in here so you get a charge cable of course not type c which i wish it was but that plugs into your battery and charges your battery a pile of props i haven't even had to repair or do anything to this one in fact i can show you this copter over a year later because i need to do a side-by-side comparison of the two anyway and uh oh one battery is in it i was like wow this is a three battery system where's my third battery right there actually i shouldn't say that these batteries are pretty cool too um i it was a little bit weird how this was made inside there but anyway we're going to take a look at the copters in a minute to see what's going on there first i'm going to take a look at the batteries and i did get three so hopefully one is in the copter oh yeah this is a night and day night and day improvement on this one but again this was just a brushed 50 quad and it's all it needed and it flies for an amazing amount of time this one boasts 30 minutes per battery now if i get 20 minutes after a boasting of 30 i'm gonna be mind blown that's going to be an amazing deal so here's two of the batteries when i get to the copter we'll find out if i have my third one because if not that's gonna suck okay oh this is different this is much so right off the bat if we look at the original one here we had that flip down dgi kind of thing i never really liked that it's not the greatest as far as okay as far as build quality they're probably about the same they're i'm gonna say they're about the same there uh the antennas about the same there's nothing here that screams wow right and i wish this was actually a button huh so okay so on this one there's actually a little push button to release the door so that's pretty cool i i hate screws on these things and i believe this one here with screws yeah and i didn't put it back in because it's annoying as hell so uh we're looking at four aaa batteries so this thing should run as far as the controller goes for forever i mean that that's that's a bit of power there so that's for let's remove the copter all right so i'm gonna get this out of the way and i'm going to get this out of the way okay so size so right off the bat of course the new copter is bigger it's also got more weight to it wow maybe i should take the battery out because the battery so i do have my three batteries okay and that puts them in perspective now what i'm going to do too though i will weigh them with a battery in them as well because that is going to be the the weight right so we're going to turn this here on and i guess i'm going to go to a pounds ounce so if we go with this one we got 2.8 ounces that's really light now we take the new one 4.7 ounces so we actually definitely have pretty much doubled the weight as such but this is well within legal weights so that is pretty cool um now what we're going to do we're going to do the same thing again now loaded with their batteries okay with the battery 3.7 the new one with the battery 7.1 okay so there's our weights on them now let's go over what each of them apparently have and why this one was so much more expensive so right off the bat it's a no-brainer this has brushless motors okay so brushless motor of course a lot more power a lot more torque a lot more speed and get there quick and that's something that i really wanted i also like how they screwed the propellers onto this so a propeller will break before this will break any day so that is really nicely done so you still have the flop propellers in case you hit something now when we go over to the 50 one you can see we still have the same type of propeller uh style but we're on a single shaft normal small motor they're not very big and it's all plastic here and then this pretty much you know screws down right here with a tiny screw and clamps these things in place not great but it's definitely effective as you can see i haven't broke it and i haven't had to change any blades on the top we're still greeted with both units having a power button right here this one has a light going down the front here or on the top here and i don't think this has anything here as far as plastics go there's definitely a build quality difference here this is definitely built nicer that way so we're going to go with pulling out the arms and see how that all feels from the cheap one first so i mean it's it's it's cheap i i i mentioned that it's you know it's pretty durable so it's cheap it's lightweight but it is durable so now we're going to do the same thing here oh oh why oh they have to come out first keep that in mind so when you're uh pulling this out oops oh don't turn on upper arm first upper arm first because of this right here the leg the landing leg will actually break i wouldn't want to do that especially not even getting to fly it yet okay so now we have both of them open and as you can see there is definitely a size difference here because it's pretty obvious okay so we're you know we're right if we go wingspan wingspan i mean it's smaller but it's not massively smaller but it's definitely enough to know and the quality of everything even the feel and fit of the arms are definitely beyond what these are these feel like a lightweight plastic but again has been durable and these feel like a uh a better plastic if i want to say it's it's more feeling like that the copter itself quality difference between the plastics and that's about it on that one now what we are greeted with so on the back of course there's our battery slide in and out just like the original fifty dollar one and there's a light here now on this copter they have lights built into the arms and those lights are in every arm okay so beauty of that is that is definitely 100 helpful now when we look i'm just gonna start here at the front so we're gonna look at the 50 copter and you see here the cheap camera that was supposed to be 4k that is maybe 1080p um and then you have your bottom camera right which is even worse so this camera i have to literally move it okay like it's not a camera that i can control or pivot and it is very plasticky and cheap uh it's just one of those cheap cameras the housing everything i wouldn't want to take a good smash into a nosedive because that camera will be gone um now there is lights right here i do not remember lights being on here in fact i'm pretty sure there isn't but same idea of everything anyway and that's your camera now i've already seen enough to go oh so here's our bdi headlights i love that that looks so cool look at the camera we're not in kansas anymore people i may actually have a product with a 4k camera um this one i can't remember if it moves on its own or not it definitely feels very movable but that that i don't know okay until i fire it up and play around with it i really don't know um and then you have your camera on the bottom i'm not sure if that's still 4k but the lens does look a lot better than the other one but it still could just be a 1080p cams which i kind of would figure would be on the bottom of them but who knows so as far as the bottom goes they pretty ha they pretty much have a very similar design going on i mean you can't really do a whole lot different here but they definitely have one thing from another as far as designs go the key ingredient here is build quality camera quality and brushless so now we have some mean motors that are going to take this thing to new levels and that is so cool so guys i hope you enjoyed uh me unboxing it i got to play around with it i hope you enjoyed the comparison so that way the people who did watch my video all 33 or 34 000 of you thank you so much you made me buy myself a new quadcopter okay if it wasn't for you guys watching that video i wouldn't be buying this copter so this copter is going to be i'm thinking about doing a copter once a year whether it be a quad or whatever as long as we're allowed to get them i'm thinking about doing a once a year video on them as my channel is dedicated to tech as such but also you know dedicated to computers and video games and vintage collecting and so on um but i am very versatile so as long as it's tech and i can enjoy it then i'm going to review it so if you guys want to see more than one review of a quadcopter a year comment below if you want to see less and just keep it at the one year and comment below if you think my videos suck please don't comment below okay so anyway just wanted to compare the two give you an idea overall from the people who do own this one you can feel that and then you see that this is like there's a big difference and i'm hoping that shows when i start flying it i really really really want this to be a good copter thanks for watching game overwelcome back a year ago i bought a 50 quad from aliexpress today i received a 150 4k quadcopter that boasts a lot of features
