The Art of Drifting and Repairing: A Gaijin's Journey

As I stood in front of my windshield, taking stock of the damage to my car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Despite being a little too enthusiastic with the GoPro, which had only captured a partial view of the carnage, I was relieved that the lip and bumper were still intact. The intercooler, however, had taken a slight hit, but I was confident in my ability to repair it. The experience was a humbling reminder that even with the best equipment, accidents can happen.

My friend Adam, on the other hand, had been a bit more... enthusiastic. His car's bumper had come off, and he was now faced with the daunting task of repairing it. I couldn't help but chuckle at his misfortune, knowing that I too had experienced my fair share of mechanical mishaps. But as we both knew, it's all part of the journey.

As we continued on our way to upgarage, a local garage in Neon Matsu, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. My mission was to acquire an electric blue controller for my car, one that would prevent the pesky gapping issue when driving uphill. The journey took us through winding streets and picturesque alleys, until we finally arrived at upgarage. here I gotta keep on freaking out thing that I'm going to crash into someone because be worried she's all in on the whole place but chilled out for Ben definitely feeling better now the investor you can go up and do some ops up north one of my favorite courses here get so dicey with so many people here from aster a my shifter in this cars definitely felt better in the past never seemed so much to the zoo here all the pits are filled people are parking all over wild such an anxious time the first come out the North Course I don't mean I talked to you guys about tire pressure but I was running like putting 15 pounds in the front we're car feels so much better investor I still get a little verbal in the tune I got to figure out though it seems just like a rich spot Amanda place is terrifying let's go full Sun first time I'm just fallen Musker you got this now well bad for not going on a while masks you've got a crazy line and I feel like we did a pretty good job of following that time that's a good one what's fun you guys really didn't see behind the scenes I was kind of being dumb I knew that this beat had a tear in it but I didn't want to miss Nishi short so I kept going out and getting like 10 laps and then it would be bead and then I'd have to go in and pop it back on thankfully I didn't cause any accidents is that what a song so those were some pretty rad trains between me you and neon we were driving way way too aggressively though for like 15 cars behind us so long could you tell that I kept D beating my friends yeah that's what happened both times I had a tear in the beat but I didn't want to miss a session so I just kept airing it up and going back out luckily I didn't make anyone crash I've been too lazy to mount tires so she's been running scrubs from that strip the entire time but I gotta go mount front so I might just entire changing tonight still feeling like trash to my face at least stop being so miserable I got some decent laps in but I'm feeling like absolute trash I hate I'm not complaining I'm just letting you guys know I feel like I'm never getting sick and hopefully one day to myself but you guys see me almost every single day I very rarely get second I'm gonna try to look after myself and unfortunately not drive during the night Matsuri I'm already not a fan of driving at night because like my senses aren't as good at night I've always had a difficult time like riding bikes at night drifting at night it's never been like a thing that I've been super hyped about so I think I'm gonna play smart go back try to get some rest and hopefully feel better for tomorrow so I can make the most of the rest of this trip luckily I am a day ahead in videos so I can just combine this footage with footage from the other days and we should be not really sure with the plan with this video is but it might be a continuation of yesterday if so we're heading back for the second day of Matsuri still get to drive Nishi which is a super-fun of course Mester stayed up all night driving while i complained about being sick and edited videos mess bear stole my mattress so he's not on my good side he won't be in the videos today mom I'll tell you everything this kid does wrong drop the rental I think first thing we're gonna do is go up and drive north got some fresh new fronts mounted up so if we don't have that defeating issue anymore I want to try to mess with my alignment after we enter on North York are kind of like real is on me a little bit and I feel like it's like a toe thing because you said you're running well like 40 pounds yeah and I'm running like 25 and you're still reeling maybe it doesn't make sense it's not so it's not a power think anymore because before you got me going up the hill now it's like a one-story and drift at the same angle your cars just weep but he does have adjustable arms and we don't so I don't know what we'll be able to do like adjustment wise to get the stock alignment better but I might give it a shot so one of our friends he actually made a replica of my Cresta look at how cool this is so cool so good you know time is you get stuck on the hill god damn it it's almost more than to roll back so now we try to find our pit spot somehow good luck right right this is wild Hey with a crash we can't even get to our pits oh it's a zoo here it's actually a zoo but it's not did you hear me rip the stick we're not coming up the tunnel I wish I did yeah the stupid rental car stopped on the hill I hate that I hate that for me like that's very long but things like this is a show I've never seen it so bad no it's crazy it's out control it's crazy so I said one of the things I've been dealing with is a little issue with positive camber we're positive camber we're not enough tow-in because my car feels kind of loose compared maskers so with the eccentric adjustment I'm actually like maxed out 4:02 right now so if I bring this out you can see we'll get a little bit more toe in and it should correct some the camber issue as well so I'm gonna give that a try try running a little bit higher pressure with more toe in and see how it feels I was getting frustrated because it's having such a hard time keeping up and I thought it was like an alignment thing but it's probably because I haven't mounted any new tires this trip and I'm using a heat cycle bunch of blaster tires so I guess that's kind of my fault coolest thing about that sory other than getting the drift for 24 hours straight in fact if we get to drive these shorter issues no lid open for drifting but necessary it is and we're heading down right now for the last issue session where usually there is the most carnage this is last time where baskar pushed me in the oz bow and did a couple thousand dollars worth of damage in my car when I went off track and smashed in front such gitanos so much fun crazy trains I'm excited I was getting frustrated because it's having such a hard time keeping up and I thought it was like an alignment thing but it's probably because I haven't mounted any new tires this trip and I've been using old heat cycle function blaster I'm probably mounting higher so I guess that's kind of my fault still back-to-back-to-back like clockwork dude probably 40 plus time works on my door so I only had a little GoPro on my windshield but I hope that like should shows justice of how is there a science to this or just well the first thing you want to do is not use Harbor Freight zip ties because as you see it just broke just putting it at all so that's that's key but unfortunately
