The Verge has Laid Hands on the New Xbox One Controller
Hello everyone and welcome to The Zone of T, I'm Daniel and I have some really, really epic news for you today. Basically, The Verge, which is one of my favorite technology websites, has laid hands on the new Xbox One controller. Let's take a look at the Xbox One, the new Xbox One controller in HD.
Hey this is Derer with The Verge and we got some Hands-On time with the prototype for the new Xbox One controller now. The big change here is that they have improved the two triggers. They actually have got a force feedback. They got little vibrating motors on each trigger. So when you're playing the game and you're like shooting a gun, and the feedback is just on that, it's just on your right finger or left finger whatever is appropriate.
They have moved the battery inside the box itself so that it doesn't it's not this big ugly hump at the bottom. They've also added a new multi connector on the bottom so it doesn't plug in over USB anymore but you can still add maybe one of those little chat keyboards if you'd like to otherwise, it feels pretty much like an Xbox controller. Your xab buttons are still in basically the same spot they have added a little bit of texture to the thumb sticks and they say they've improved the d-pad radically.
But of course, until we get to play actual games with it, we won't know for sure what it's like. We got to try a few different demos on an earlier prototype on a PC. We got to fly a little helicopter and like feel the brakes on a car. The feedback on your fingers is actually really strong in addition to the standard Rumble that you get at a controller. You can really tell if it's coming on the whole controller or just on your fingers.
So, that's it, that's the new controller for the Xbox One. Okay, so this was basically it. In conclusion, The Verge has laid hands on the new Xbox One controller and it seems that they have made some significant improvements. The force feedback and vibrating motors on each trigger are a great addition to the controller, and the move of the battery to the bottom of the box is a nice touch. However, until we can play actual games with it, we won't know for sure what it's like.
The Verge has provided us with some hands-on demos on an earlier prototype, which gave us a taste of what's to come. We were able to fly a little helicopter and feel the brakes on a car, which showed us just how responsive and interactive the controller is. The feedback on your fingers is also really strong, adding to the overall gaming experience.
Overall, it seems that Microsoft has made some great improvements to the Xbox One controller, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future.
