New Mercedes EQXX Made With Mushrooms & Cactus!

The Sexiest Most Environmentally Friendly Car in the World: Mercedes EQX

The Mercedes EQX is undoubtedly one of the most impressive and innovative electric vehicles to have been created, with a focus on both style and sustainability. This car did over a thousand kilometers in one charge, which is truly astonishing. So, what makes it so special? The first thing you'll notice about the EQX is its design. Specifically, the tail, known as a drop tail, has been designed to reduce drag. As the host notes, this clever design feature alone reduces drag by an impressive amount.

Furthermore, the EQX's designers have also reduced the weight of the car through various means. One example they mention is the use of magnesium wheels, which are lighter than traditional wheels. Additionally, the car features a range of other weight-saving measures, including the installation of a security seal over the battery port to prevent unauthorized recharging during testing. This not only prevents tampering but also helps to reduce the overall weight of the vehicle.

One of the most interesting aspects of the EQX is its use of advanced technology and materials. The car features 3D printed materials, which help to save weight while still maintaining strength and durability. Additionally, the interior of the car boasts a range of cutting-edge features, including a massive screen that stretches across the dashboard. This screen allows passengers to access a wealth of information, including navigation, weather forecasts, and even real-time data on wind resistance.

In terms of its performance capabilities, the EQX is truly impressive. With a weight of just 1.7 tons, despite being based on the same wheelbase as the C-Class Mercedes, it is a remarkably agile and responsive vehicle. The host notes that driving the EQX is an exhilarating experience, with plenty of attention drawn from other drivers on the road. This is largely due to the car's striking design, which includes four seats in the back and a sleek, aerodynamic profile.

Interestingly, the EQX has already been put through its paces by several individuals who have had the opportunity to drive it. One such individual was a specialist driver named Boris, who was given the rare privilege of driving the EQX on public roads. This experience allowed the host to get a firsthand look at just how impressive and capable this car truly is.

Overall, the Mercedes EQX is an incredible achievement in automotive engineering, with its sleek design, advanced technology, and impressive performance capabilities making it one of the most exciting electric vehicles on the market today.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: encheck this out this is the sexiest most environmentally friendly car in the world check this out so what is the sexiest most environmentally friendly car in the world it is a mercedes eqx all right now this baby right here did over a thousand kilometers in one charge that is crazy so how did they do it guys number one they reduce the weight number two they reduce the drag of the car check this out look at the design the first thing you'll notice is the tail this is called a drop tail and that reduces drag there's so much going on here i cannot wait to tell you all of the different features that's just one right here the wheel take this out so it's all closed off right and that reduces drag as well they've actually made this open like see-through so that you can see the rose gold coils just one of a thousand elements to reduce weight is it has a magnesium wheel all right just one now for a future car you'd think hang on a minute why is this not a camera right a lot of car companies are going for those futuristic cameras what they realized was if they put a camera here they've actually got to install extra screens inside which means more weight so they may as well actually just put a normal mirror here so interesting come check out the back this is the back right here now it does something very cool check this out it has an active aero diffuser so it actually comes out when the car goes about 50 kilometers an hour or over and again that is to further reduce the drag all right let's see it go back in i love this car all right now i've got your boot and actually there's a lot of space in here but it's all secret technology for now so i can't show you what's inside you've actually got quite a lot of trunk space in there because of course you've got the batteries lining the floor this is where it all went down check this out this is how you charge the car now look it's got security seals so what happened was when they were testing the range they actually put a security seal over the battery port and they had the german technical authorities follow them to make sure that they didn't open this up and recharge the battery so they traveled from stuttgart all through switzerland down through italy and ended up in the south of france they test drove this car on the streets through traffic on the highways this is not just a concept car this car drives looks it's even got license plates and i'm going to be one of the first people in the world to be able to drive this car so we're going to take it out here around france and monaco in just a second now check this out on the roof love this you can see the little panels here this is one big solar panel roof it goes all the way over here so this roof itself contributed 20 extra kilometers to the range and this here the extending tail contributed an extra 50 kilometers to the range now even the brakes are lighter they're made of aluminium you don't actually need stronger brakes than that because the car is electric so you get the regenerative braking you know kind of it breaks on its own when you lift off the accelerator even things like this they have gotten rid of their mercedes badge this is now a sticker and i said well why didn't you paint it on that would have looked nicer and they said paint weighs more than a sticker so that's the kind of detail they are going into to try and make this car as weight efficient as possible now even down here so you've got a radiator up in here it's actually on an angle so that the air comes straight through here hits that radiator cools for the air conditioning and comes out here that's where the air escapes you've also got this angle here where the air comes through and straight over the wheels like that and out through here all right now my favorite bit the interior are we ready for this ready look at this love who wants to use their hands these days oh i still need to use my hand i still like how it comes out though look at this the interior guys how nice is this so sleek all right materials what have they used never heard this before this is crazy right here this mat which is really soft actually this is made from bamboo now this here this is made from recycled plastic so they find plastic bottles in the ocean and they recycle it to use for material on this car also the leather you won't believe what this is made from any guesses cactus cactus oh what oh that's why it's spiky cactus leather and mushrooms mushrooms what is going on this is mushroom leather right here these bits look look it kind of feels a little bit like rubber where are we going with cars i'm just let's make leather out of cactus who thought of that who saw a cactus and thought this is perfect for leather in my car this is just mad right let's get in we have 3d printed materials this part here you can see 3d printed so again they're trying to save um weight now the screen the screen is freaking cool you guys look it goes all the way across so when you don't need any other details except for what's in front of you this whole screen is blank except for these little floating mercedes logos which i think looks really cool look at that now if you want to get some information you just swipe down there we go now there we go extending buttons i'm going to press this little button here ai check this out wait for it the mercedes logos disappear and you have a full-sized map this is so amazing let me just show you what i see from here you have your navigation across the entire screen you can see the wind so what's interesting is it will actually show you how much wind resistance there is so if you've got a headwind or tailwind it will show you here and i'll go hey listen uh you've got tail winds you can actually speed up you're not going to use any more energy if you increase speed because of the wind so i mean all of this is just it's insane so you've got the airflow i mean look the aero drag it shows you absolutely everything it's unbelievable and then as a passenger if you don't want to see any of this you can actually swipe down here there we go and you can play something you can watch a movie or listen to music so i'm just i'm just super impressed the only thing is like this is your sun visor you're just gonna have sun in your eyes the entire drive so it's got four seats in the back this is it's actually not got that much space this car has the same wheelbase as a c-class mercedes talking of weight saving the eqs that's a fully electric mercedes already on the road people are driving around in it now that weighs two and a half tons this weighs 1.7 that is kind of crazy that's a huge difference however it is shorter than the eqs this is the same wheelbase as a mercedes c-class but it only weighs 100 kilos more than the c-class and when you think of current batteries and how heavy they are that's very impressive all right let's go for a drive this is so exciting when do you actually get to drive a concept car like on the streets crazy all right that's my drive uh i forgot my engineering driver's license apparently you need a special one to drive this car it's the only one in the world and to the specialist i'm with boris he's the specialist driver you are one of only a few people in the world who was allowed to drive this car a handful of people and i got to drive it a few meters which is also very exciting um so we're going to go for a drive and this is still so exciting because it's not very much footage of this car actually driving so let's do this the sun is like beaming straight down on us at the moment and this picture will move as we move you can see all of the energy it's gathering so cool this energy usage see this drive efficiency oh you're at 83 at the moment 83 percent even going uphill yeah that's pretty good we are going uphill actually yeah what's it like well it's freaking cool just saying how much attention he got on the road when he was doing that thousand kilometer journey everyone's like wow what is that especially the back lights you know that one tail light going across all right that's it guys i hope you enjoyed this like inside look at the eqxx thank you to mercedes for having us here in monaco we're out you\n"
