Xiaomi Mi 6 Gaming, Benchmarks and Camera Tests

**Xiaomi Mi 6 Review: A Powerful Device with Some Caveats**

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is a powerful device that comes with a quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 5.15-inch Full HD display. The phone's performance is quite impressive, especially when it comes to gaming. We were able to play Asphalt 8 with high graphics on, and the game's reflections, smoke, and animations looked great on the device. However, we did experience some glitches in the game itself, which may be a problem that Rockstar Games needs to fix.

Despite the throttling of its 8-core processor, the Mi 6 manages to deliver a fantastic gaming experience. Whether you're playing arcade games or iron-man games, the phone's performance is more than capable of handling demanding titles. The device also comes with an extremely loud speaker, which makes it perfect for gaming on the go.

In terms of multimedia usage, the Mi 6 performs flawlessly. The device's battery life is decent, and we were able to get a full day's use out of it without any issues. However, this may vary depending on your usage habits and other factors. The phone also comes with a fast charger, which can charge the battery quickly.

**Camera Review**

The Mi 6 comes with a 12-megapixel camera setup, which includes two cameras - one wide-angle camera with an F/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, and another zoomed-in camera with an F/2.6 aperture and no image stabilization. The camera setup also features phase detect autofocus and dual LED flash. However, we were not impressed with the video quality of the Mi 6. We found it to be slightly below average compared to other devices in its class.

The phone's slow-mo video feature at 120 frames per second at 720p is a nice touch, but the image quality is not the best. The time-lapse video feature is also available on the device, but again, the image quality is not exceptional. However, we did manage to capture some crisp images with ample amounts of light, and the portrait mode works well, especially when shooting during the day.

One thing that's noticeable about the Mi 6's camera is that the image processing seems to be not completely done properly. Possibly in a global ROM, Xiaomi may have fixed this issue. Nevertheless, the camera is good for what it is, and we expect an improvement with future software updates.

**Overall Experience**

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is a powerful device that offers a lot of value for its price. The phone's performance is impressive, especially when it comes to gaming. However, there are some caveats - such as the throttling of its processor, which may impact performance in certain situations. Additionally, the camera setup is not the best, and we expect an improvement with future software updates.

Despite these issues, the Mi 6 is still a great device that's worth considering if you're looking for a powerful smartphone on a budget. The phone's design is sleek and premium, making it perfect for those who want a stylish device without breaking the bank.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is a well-rounded device that offers a lot of value for its price. While there are some caveats - such as the throttling of its processor and the camera setup - the phone's performance, gaming capabilities, and design make it a great option for those looking for a powerful smartphone on a budget.

If you're willing to overlook these issues, the Mi 6 is definitely worth considering. The phone's performance, gaming capabilities, and design make it a great choice for those who want a device that can handle demanding tasks without breaking the bank.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys what's up this Barrett and today we're going to be checking out gaming benchmarks and a bunch of other things in the neo Shamim e6 so let's get started so while it's been a while since the Shamy music's has been launched in China there seems to be no particular date or scenes of availability of the musics and other markets including India where a lot of people are waiting for this song but it looks like Xiaomi may not end up launching this phone in India due to their inability to launch it at a really good price so the place that I bought the phone from is currently selling the Chinese variant of the me6 on which you can turn the language into English and you can install google apps for a discounted price of 479th presently at a 20% discount this sale will end in 6 days so make sure to check out the link in the description below in case you're interested in checking this one out they're also selling other Xiaomi phones on sale so I'll drop a link in the description below to their sales page as well now coming back to the phone itself the phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 the waiting that I have has 6 gigabyte of RAM along with 128 gigabytes of storage making this a really impressive phone I have it in the black color over here and if you talk about some of the other specifications of the device that does have a 5.1 5 inch IPS LCD display a 1920 by 1080p resolution which sort of is disappointing for 2017 running everything is a Qualcomm Snapdragon a35 with 4 cores at 2.15 gigahertz and Foucault's at 1.9 gigahertz you also get the audrina 540 GPU now if you want to check out full specifications along with an unboxing in a hands-on we've already done that and I'll drop links to that in the description below as well or you can click the top right bubble on this video now the phone runs me UI 8 and it is the Chinese variant of the wrong but you can't convert the language into English as you can see on my phone it's particularly easy to download and install google apps lots of tutorials are available online and we've done it and we have more or less all sorts of Google Apps on here now we start off with benchmarks on and 2 tools the device scores anywhere from 130 to 135 thousand or one lakh - one lakh thirty-five thousand and that score seems to be considerably lower than the HTC u 11 which we also recently benchmarked and that too on a pre-release ROM with a 4 gigabyte variant and we go to score upwards of 170,000 so it's clear that this is an underclock variant of the 8c 5 despite letting everyone know that they have a 2.45 gigahertz 4 core setup plus a 1.9 gigahertz Foucault's setup it seems that xiaomi has indeed throttled the overall performance of the CPU that's why we're getting such low benchmark scores in fact lower than devices like the 1 + 3 + 1 + 3 T that run last year's Hardware and not the a35 chipset because similar results from Geekbench as well in the single core and the multi-core the scores were lower than some of the devices that have previous generation hardware as far as gaming is concerned we managed to play all sorts of games with high graphics on the device with asphalt 8 all sorts of reflections smoke and animations turn out to be really good and you get a really good gaming experience the speaker on the phone is also extremely loud so you'll certainly enjoy gaming on this device so that definitely is a plus point you on similar setups in grand theft auto you get with full graphics turn on I turn on the graphics to pull with max distances with max animations etc the device seems to do a pretty good job except for the glitches in the game itself which don't seem to work really well with the HD 5 chipset and that is something that probably Rockstar Games needs to fix now whether you're playing arcade games or iron games it seems that despite it throttled 8c 5 chipset in there the phone will manage to do a pretty fantastic job and hence gaming and for extreme multimedia use you'll have no issues with the Xiaomi me 6 the camera set up on the Xiaomi me 6 is slightly different and needs to be understood you do get 12 12 megapixel cameras in the main one is a wide camera with an F 1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization whereas the other is a zoomed in camera within F 2.6 aperture and no image stabilization the camera setup does have phase detect autofocus and dual LED flash as far as video quality is concerned we found the video quality to be good but not the best in class in fact we've seen really good video from with likes of the s 8s 8 plus front even one plus 3t and especially from the HTC u 11 that is just launched recently so we're not very happy with the kind of video quality that we get with the me 6 you also have the ability to shoot slow-mo video at 120 frames per second at 720p along with time-lapse video which is all built in to the device again the quality is slightly above average at best as well as the images are concerned you to get a whole lot of shooting modes that you can choose from along with the full pro mode will allow you to click pictures images turn out to be crisp and if you have ample amounts of light you will manage to pull off some of the D focus shots that you need really well we found the colors to be slightly under saturated and not the best in terms of stopping on your screen they do look nice on the device itself once you do transfer them on a PC or laptop you'll see a big difference in the kind of quality of the image that you get the camera also has a portrait mode which uses the dual lenses in a similar fashion to the iPhone 7 plus allowing you to completely remove focus from the back and put focus on the subject in our case Batman seems to pop out of the background it is a pretty good job of isolating a subject if you have good amounts of light and if you are shooting basically this image in the day you'll get a really good output as you can see right now the camera is pretty good for the kind of setup that we have but it could have been a lot better the image processing seems to be not completely done properly and possibly in the global ROM they'll manage to fix out some of the things including the video quality and the under saturated images and we'll probably get to see a better result of that all in all while the me6 is a pretty fantastic device with all the best specifications it seems that Xiaomi has pulled back in certain areas including only putting in a full HD display and lowering the processing capabilities of the qualcomm snapdragon 85 and then obviously it seems that the camera is not the best camera that you can get it seems to be subpar at least at the moment it could be a software thing but we might see a better result when a global variant of the phone has launched and a global rom of the device is available if you have any questions or queries you can drop them in the comment section below we're going to be doing a full review of the device shortly so you can stay tuned for that do check us out on I ganderton caches on Facebook Twitter Google+ this may be like wow thank you guys for
