"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit from tass.com and in this video we're going to do the full review for this HTC1 mini so here we have the HTC1 mini and I'm going to do the full review in this video I've already done the unboxing for this HTC 1 mini so if you want to know what comes inside the box and a general overview you can check out the unboxing all the links for the other videos that I made about the HTC1 will be in the show notes and the first thing that strikes about this HTC 1 mini is the build quality it's actually a smaller version of the flagship HTC1 um and it's a very stylish Android phone it has that same aluminium body hence it looks very stylish has the same 4 megapixel Ultra pixel camera that HTC likes to call it has a LED flash and also it has a secondary microphone coming towards the side the front uh it has a 1.6 map camera which can also record video up to 720phd and we do still get this dual speaker and I have to say the sound quality that we get is excellent needless to say it's a very stylish phone but HTC has made some compromises on this HTC1 for example uh if you notice the sites these are now made up of plastic Feld we don't have that Metal shamer Field uh that gives the HTC1 a more premium log so yes there is a little bit of cost cutting on this HTC1 mini and also we do not get the IR blaster on this HTC1 mini so these are some of the minor changes but overall it's a very stylish phone and it'll be ideal for for people who are looking for a smaller size phone the screen on this HTC1 mini is a 4.3 in screen and the panel is a 720p panel and as you can see the viewing angles are also great on this panel and uh I would say HTC did a very good job regarding the panel they have used it's a very good panel and you won't have any ISS shows with the same coming to the Android version uh let's look at the software info and as you can see it comes with Android version 4.2.2 and the internal storage on this is 16 gigs and if you have seen my unboxing videos out of the box you get around 10.6 GB of storage and that's decent enough but do note that you cannot add any external storage because it does not have a micro SD card slot uh before uh I proceed let me talk about the pricing and I want to thank feil Communications for providing this HTC1 mini for review and HTC1 mini in India is selling for around rupees 37,000 and I would say the phone has been priced very excessively by HTC uh but fil Communications quoted me a street price of Just Around 30,000 for this HTC 1 mini but needless to say uh uh for the specs uh I would say it's highly overpriced and before I talk a lot about the specs and under the hood uh let me give you a physical overview on the top we have this power button again do note that it does not have IR Blaster like the HTC1 we have the 3.5mm headphone jack and on this end we have the volume rockers nothing else microphone the micro USB slot that'll be used for charging and sinking this does support usb OTG I tested it and on this end we have this slot uh and our micro uh Sim will go in here moving towards the back as I mentioned we have the 4 megapix the four UltraPixel camera uh with LED flash this can also record video in 1080P uh we have the HTC branding over here and it also says that it has Beats Audio uh the back again uh it's looks very stylish and again it's a very stylish phone we have the front facing camera which is a 1.6 map uh shooter the opening for the speaker again it's dual speakers so the uh sound output is actually pretty good we have the sensors and the ambient light sensor over here here and this is the 4.3 in screen uh this is the back button we just have this is the httc logo this is not a button and this is the home button let me show you the same now when we unlock and actually if you notice we don't get the multitasking button uh and you can just double tap the home screen to get this multitasking option this is how HTC does it and you can also hold this home button for a while to activate Google Now if you want coming to the voice quality I did not have any problems uh coming to the battery the battery is also sealed inside it's not user replaceable and uh it's 1800 milliamp battery and I couldn't do extensive testing regarding the battery but with my limited amount of testing I would say uh battery with normal usage it should last you for around a day and this HTC1 runs the custom uh HTC Sense 5ui and as you can see we have these screens we also have this blink feed and you can just scroll left or right to move to other screens and these are the widgets that come and you can also move around the widgets like this if you want for example and you can do this guesture and you can add home screens and also add the vgs if you want for example let me add the Google search and if I just hold it and I drop it here it comes to that screen so that's uh the customization and uh this is the app tray and as you can see you also do get some customizations over here and if you click here you can adjust the grid size by default only 3x4 is there by default only 12 apps will be displayed on the screen but you can go uh up to 20 by just clicking here and as you can see this is like a traditional look uh but this is the default look that HTC provides so again there is a fair bit amount of customization offered on this phone and now as we are connected to my Wi-Fi network let's quickly test the web browsing and by default let's going to our website that's tas.com and I just wanted to show you the pinch to zoom and as you can see the pinch to zoom is fairly responsive and this HTC1 mini is powered by a 1.4 GHz toal core processor based on the card architecture the chipset is snapdragon uh 400 chipset and the RAM on this is just 1 gig uh it's powered by a GPU that is adreno 305 so by today's standard I would say it's kind of upper range uh mid-ranges specs but in general performance the phone was pretty responsive I would say so HTC did a good job and uh uh this uh page has a video embedded and I just wanted to show you that uh by the default browser we do get text reflow for example if I resize the text it automatically it just so we do get text reflow and let's change the orientation now and we have this YouTube video embedded on this web page so let's try to play it back and see how well it plays hi there this is ranit from tas.com and I have a Sony xeria Zed Ultra which is a massive Android phone by Sony and I just took it out of the box I just wanted to show you the so as you can see it had no problems playing uh uh the Youtube video that was embedded within this web page and uh another good thing is that uh as these speakers are front firing speakers uh they are very clear and also they do provide a little bit of Base so the speakers are excellent and also in terms of web browsing I did not have any issues with this HTC1 mini and let me also show you the keyboard uh this is the default keyboard and uh let me just show you the same this is a test and it's fairly comfortable to type and also it does a good uh job in autoc correction and also you can move in this orientation and the keyboard works so that's nice that's for the keyboard and now coming to Media playback also I had some good experience as I said earlier uh this HTC 1 mini uh though it does not have a uh micro SD card slot it does support usb OTG out of the box and uh as you can see I just inserted this uh and uh this pen drive is glowing that means it's working and I'll show you the same and uh let me just uh open up uh this Astro file manager that I downloaded and let's just go to our USB and we have a 1080p video clip and let me just play that one and as you can see it's playing it without any issues directly from the uh USB key so usb OTG support is there on this HTC1 mini now coming to gaming um I tested it with a lot of games as you can see I tried some casual games also like subway for Dead Trigger and for the most part they ran fine I would say and I could also Run games like aspal 7 uh but very heavy games like aspal 8 Nova 3 uh were simply not compatible with this HTC 1 mini so if you play casual games to even mid-range heavy games I would say you won't have a problem but uh playing the latest heavy three uh games uh then this HTC1 mini is not for you I've already done the gaming review for this HTC1 in a separate video so you can check out that video for more info now coming to multi-touch points um here also uh I'm a little bit disappointed because it could just register two multi-touch points as you can see only two multi touch points are getting registered with this HTC1 mini I thought at least for the price that this HTC1 is commanding it should have supported at least five multi-touch points but that's not the case um but HTC did not skimp on sensors and as you can see I'm running this compass app app and the compass app actually works fine without any issues and let's also quickly look at the uh camera interface uh the rear facing camera as I told you is a four Ultra pixel camera and uh we do get the standard features for example let me bring my watch nearby and you do get the St to focus functionality and you can quickly take the snap of VI this and Indo in even artificial light I would say it does a decent job uh I'll show you uh some of these photographs in full screen mode so that you can judge the quality yourself um but HTC's claim of exceptional low light performance is not true because in many instances I did notice that there is considerable amount of noise in these pictures uh let me also show you the interface uh this is basic interface from directly from here you can take the video if you want and let let me now show you uh the options that are provided you can click here and you can change the scenes if you want uh you do get a lot of options like this and let's just go back now and we also have this anti-shake option but I noticed that if you enable anti-shake options you just simply cannot enable other options so that's kind of a con I would say and if you go back uh we do get other options for example as I mentioned earlier the r facing camera can shoot video in full HD that's 1080p so that's nice and we can adjust the iso Auto balance Etc so we do have a lot of options in terms of the functionality provided now let me just quickly show you all these snaps in full screen mode so that you get a better idea regarding the camera performance I also tested the front-facing camera with Skype video calls and I would say the Skype video call Quality that I got was pretty good so uh it's good for front facing camera uh those the resolution is limited to 720P HD so what do I feel about this HTC uh 1 mini uh it's a interesting phone by HTC uh and right away I would say specifically in India it's highly overpriced for what it offers the specs are kind of mid-ranges I would say and I can easily compare regarding the specs with a mid-range Android phone by Sony that is the Xperia L the internals are very similar to that but the Xperia L cost just half of this yes the Xperia L's LCD panel is not as Superior compared to this HTC1 and also the rear facing camera is much more Superior on this HTC1 uh mini but HTC1 mini is almost twice the cost of Xperia L so right away I would say in terms of pricing HTC has overpriced this product but uh if you're not bothered about the price and you're looking for a compact phone these days you hardly get compact phones and this is a compact phone that can easily fit in your hand and if you are in that category and not bothered about the price I would say this HTC1 mini is a very decent phone the performance is also pretty good I hardly faced any issue of lagginess on this phone the phone is pretty responsive but if you're kind of a gamer I would say then um this phone is not for you yes it can play casual games and even some of the heavy games like aspal 7 Etc but the latest very heavy games like Nova 3 aspal 8 Etc are simply not compatible so if you're a big gamer then this phone is not for you I hope you found this review of HTC1 mini helpful if you found it helpful I'll appreciate if you can click the like button given below if you aren't subscribe to my YouTube channel you can also subscribe uh to my YouTube channel that's youtube.com/ ganji that is g k y r a n git I'll also be doing in- depth review for some other Android phones shortly so again make sure that you
