slap me later all right guys so this is the b 550 elite ax v2 now the reason why i'm going to get this done and out of the way is because i'm actually going to do a build with it because this board is now going in the streaming server to upgrade and the streaming servers parts needed to go back or to go in the test bench as the test bench and i need to keep the b450 chipset in the test bench and the 2600x or it's going to mess up all of my work for the last two years so let's open this bad boy up see what the streamer is getting and what am i putting in it so what's in the box well i'll tell you what's in the box we got oh something hard in there oh disc the the discs nobody uses anymore the manual of course the manual is always good if you're not familiar i use nothing but this brand name for my builds for personal i pretty much know the headers off by heart even though i backwards did on my test bench last night um you get the universal gigabyte uh header mapping easy switch i'm going to call it clip in all of your headers off your case plug it into your motherboard done you don't even need to know what you're doing and this is your don't install your ram wrong so you can't install your ram wrong no i'm just kidding this just shows other things like it even showed power supply going in i'm starting to question what i got here multi-installation multilingual installation okay well i guess it does talk about the the parts going on to the board here but that's at first i've never seen this little edition before um and again something to look out for in a non-aurors branded box you're going to get something like this with a barcode and with that barcode then you're going to scan and go to the website to get your actual manual favorite things in the world and yet still don't put them on my cases look at that all aluminum aurora's logo at some point i gotta use that don't you think so nice connectors which i don't use now if i was running it in my server or something to be a different story but in any of my office builds they're just nvmes if you can't take nvmes then i guess there's a chance i could use a solid state or i would just go to one of my four terabyte backups the shark fin i call it the shark fin the shark fin you see why i call it the shark fin it really looks like a shark fan and it actually can angle can't it no oh yes this way okay that was weird so there's your antenna i love this antenna actually it just looks i don't know gives that sleek look i think i'm using the exact same antenna i'm pretty sure they're the same antennas this will be the bluetooth ac antenna or the ax antenna sorry um that my x570 is using uh my ultimate now i should be getting something done on that soon where you guys get to see that you guys see it in the background all the time we're going to take a look at the system we're going to talk about what's in it and of course the only reason to open this is to get this so let's take a look at this i get to see it for the see this is the bad part about doing reviews i keep everything packaged till it's time to use it because i want to experience the same thing you guys experience when you see me take it out and that to me is very important oh wow love and i say love the color i just this is different and i could say it's different because this is definitely different i'm used to it being more of a chromey look uh with lighting or something inside there this is like oh it's like ready blacked out it's it's pretty pretty awesome looking actually i love what they did here so right off the bat we're gonna notice that there's two sata ports here and then the other two are way up here that's a bit different but it is what it is what i do like about this board and why i do need it as the new streaming server is it does have usbc header connection for the case my other board did not it was the b450 um wi-fi elite pro which was actually and still is one of my favorite boards i've ever had the chance to use or review and if you guys can still find them get it you're good they're great price now um like course amd socket uh these will probably it is will be removed as it's getting water cooled um you have your 24 pin here your eight eight pin right there so probably should bring it up a bit i don't know if the camera is going to see all this proper i don't know what i'm doing with my lighting lately but it is shot so the eight pin here your 24 pin here again i find that a little bit weird because there's two here and two here they could be on completely different uh sata controllers and usually they're paired so that could be one of the things and the reason for doing it you have a case fan here you have your pump and cpu fan here and then you have uh argb and rgb headers right here two nvmes there isn't three on this one and that's fine because on my uh streaming server i think i only use a 256 nvme anyway so it's just going to be one bank that's used and if i end up using uh the stream streamer for anything else like a vr for example may be happening um that is going to be a separate drive here if that time happens and uh that will probably just be a 500 or something i'm not going to keep loads of stuff on here making this thing not perform like it should for dim sodium ram slots i don't know sodium is that's the right term i think that's a laptop but uh your your ddr4 um of course your battery backup is right here so if you ever need to you know do a real reset and you can click that out and short the board or whatever you want to do just don't do it plugged in amp up audio really nice capacitors right here you got uh some nice solid wow this is really nicely made i love the look of this and i mean i'm just overwhelmed here with the black and then just the chrome right there all solid caps of course a brm that we know we can trust at least i have in the past so right here you have your usbc header you have your uh pin headers for the main board or your case sorry i mean for power reset lights now when i say use this thing here i mean it that is going to be your easiest it can only plug in one way after you put your pieces in then you have your 3.2 usb for the front headers 2 usb 2.0 uh tpm so this is where tpm would plug in but again remember you do not need that anymore all you need to know is that the proper gen cpus will have your tpm capabilities built in another system fan here rgb artb again and here's an audio header quick look here at the uh vrm um the heatsinks they're thick they are just absolutely thick and there now you can see that piece see now it's not hiding anymore haha gotcha so that is uh wow i'm talking like when i say thick uh let's see if i can get it on the camera there look at that right in there look how thick that is and that's what i mean done right that's what i mean by done right okay now we're gonna go to our friendly best favorite ever spot ever okay so here we have usb 2.0 your ax wi-fi displayport and hdmi now these will only work if you're using like a 5600g uh yeah 5600g 4000 series g processor i think will work on this but i'm not sure i believe it's just going to be the 5600s and up for your usb 3.2s all of these are 3.2s uh this is a two and a half gig lan so we're not just playing around with one gig we're playing around with two and a half gigs absolutely freaking awesome another reason why it's the streaming server q flash right here now q flash of course if you guys don't know it is a push of a button to actually flash your bias without having the system basically running you just have your usb key plug it in here with the bios on it from another computer hit this button voila it will flash your bias so people have bricked your systems and brought them back just by doing this i had to do it once on my x 570 ultra i did something stupid and i had to sometimes when you play around with stupid things you get this stupid part and i was doing that so audio what do i expect i expect exactly what's here uh we have the fiber optic and we have our 7.1 surround now the thing about that is i'm still on the debation whether i'll be using this for uh the streaming server as is like this or will i be dropping in a higher end audio card because higher end audio cards is actually quite questionable nowadays it's one of those things where is it higher end so guys there you have it there's a nice overview of this board if you are in the market for a really nice full-featured full pack board without the big price tag the b550 elite axb2 is definitely that board i know it is because i picked it up because i wanted it to be and it has to be so you guys will also get an update on this because this is actually going into a system very very very very
