Cook's Exotics and Downpipe Zoning

I'm once again going with Cook's Exotics as you guys may or may not know, or remember. I had Cook's Exotics catless downpipe zoned on my 570, and I loved them. Cooks is a little bit unique in the industry, unlike most people who make downpipes and X-pipes and mufflers, whatnot, Cooks actually sends out their stuff to Jet Hot to get coated by the company Jet Hot, which I think is one of the only ones in the whole industry that uses the 2,500-degree coating. It's really, really good again. I loved it on my 570, and we're going full catless downpipe switch with Cooks rear section exhaust, which is a straight pipe.

The bracket in the middle of this thing is what makes it unique. Within a week, this thing is going to be insane. Of course, because we're going catalyst, we're also going to need and for tuning. We were all once again going with DME as you guys know. I have the little sticker on my thing there's a DME tuning company from Corvettes, but anyway yeah, DME tuning. The 570 as you guys definitely know was a monster, such a quick car, so fast, so much faster than it should have been for what it was, and I attribute all that to DME because the car, these cars are fast stock, but before and after tuned, it's like - - it's like you add a thousand horsepower, like that's how frickin crazy it gets.

And this thing tune is gonna be nasty. I know DME has the world record 720, I think it ran a 9-5 at like 150 was like a 9 for 9 or 9-5 for like 151 or 147 something like that but either way, it's the world record 720 and they don't just have one running Midnight's so basically you know a stock car with a tune and countless downpipes, that's it. And you can run that fast with DME if you have a McLaren. I definitely, definitely recommend them; they really know what they're doing. I had my car tuned by them, and it ran for 8,000 miles, and I beat the piss out of my car, and it did great never had a single problem.

The guys over there really know their stuff, and they fixed a lot of mistakes that other companies you know, a lot of people claim tuning for these as I've talked about before but you really got to be careful and you really got to pick the right tuner. They've corrected a lot of other people's mistakes, so it I can only speak from experience, I would definitely go DME no question if I you know if I were you, and you got one of these cars or they do a lot of BMWs, MGS, and they're great all right.

The Aftermath: Tuning and Downpipes

After getting my car tuned by DME, it ran like a beast. I knew that the tuning was going to make a huge difference in its performance. Now, we're adding a straight pipe from Cook's Exotics, which is going to take our exhaust system to the next level. The bracket in the middle of this thing is what makes it unique, and within a week, this thing is going to be insane.

The Archers Plates

I was looking for some new tires to try out on my car, and I came across Archer plates. I had heard that they were the best tire you could get, so I decided to give them a shot. Here's how they looked mounted on the McLaren:

As you can see, they look fantastic, and I was driving the car a little bit, and it definitely feels a lot smoother for whatever reason, it feels smoother, and it looks freakin' savage from the back. I'm going to put up a picture on Instagram with it with a great view so definitely check that out. But um yeah, really looking forward to getting to try these out at the track or you know even on the street. It was a little chilly today, but hopefully tomorrow we got something fun playing with Steve and maybe Andy if he quits being a puss.

in action look at the way their craziness but you know what I'll take it because it was a horrible rain for two days hence why I didn't upload anything just I mean I would have to make a video standing in my garage talking about something and you know I just wanted to make a video of going out and doing something interesting also is gonna go to the drag strip today but they are closed because of the wind lame hoping to get these tires put on and then go do that because I feel like we could definitely do nines today another time what I gotta tell you guys that I am loving it in the put it up so I haven't read all the comments but from the ones I've seen so far it seems like people enjoy the cap and you know it's interesting I don't think I am going to keep it like forever they'd be cool to do like a big road trip with this and you would really never have to get a hotel you can just like Overland what do they call like Overland camping in dirt would that be sweet that'd I really don't know what happened I don't know how you go through an intersection like it really isn't it does honestly shocked me sometimes because it's really not hard to drive at least I don't think so I don't think it's very hard to drive like you just just pay attention like if somebody's got even if somebody runs a red light you still have to be prepared for that and kind of like just look there's Brian he's are getting brake pads for the Corvette for its track day he and Troy are going up to New Jersey everyone's doing something cool today except me I'm doing enough modifying the 720 is definitely cool so these tires are a little bit wider than stock these are three 15s the stock is 305 so not only is it an archer Blake very sticky very good tire but it is wider and we've got some wider meat on there should help the traction and here we go oh this is a whole operation so that Honda Fit obviously hit the side of that Elantra and the Elantra then in turn went over the curb and that's what brings us to our current situation she's still in the car she's probably got neck pain or something we got like a big insurance claim pain but you never know I mean it doesn't look like a severe accident but she could really be injured which hopefully nobody is I mean I'm making a joke about it but I don't think anybody's injured we got you know a little Honda Fit is fairly damaged the Honda looks basically fine never know we're gonna see you never know what you're gonna run into on a random day out so now we can finally take the 720 over to tire mark to get those new Archer plates on the back of but tires are not the only mod we are doing for the McLaren today well not today but not the only mod that we are doing here in the very near future so within the next still a thirty thirty percent of the width but it's a this is a three oh five thirty and this is a three fifteen thirty so you can see the difference in tread it's definitely wider that's for sure which it doesn't seem like much only ten millimeters but it's definitely wider you can tell that right away and it should provide me everyone says the archer plate is like the best tire you can get so
