We All Love Our iOS Devices: 5 Basic Tips to Make Them Even Better

We all love our iOS devices, from our iPhones to our iPads and everything in between. But with so many uses, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with them all. That's why we've put together five basic iOS tips that can be helpful when using your devices.

Getting Tons of Notifications Can Be Annoying

One of the most frustrating things about using an iOS device is getting tons of notifications that fill up your lock screen. It can be really annoying, especially when nosey eyes seem to wander to get a peek at your info. But there's a simple way to quickly remove them all from sight: just drag down the notifications tab and slide up. This will remove all the notifications from view, giving you peace of mind knowing that no one can see what's on your screen. And if you want to avoid people getting too into your business, this tip is a must-have.

Tapping with Two Fingers Makes Selecting Easier

When creating documents on your iOS device, it can be irritating trying to highlight lines or sentences individually. But luckily, there's a simple solution: just tap the line you like to highlight with two fingers. This will automatically highlight the whole line or paragraph, making selecting what you want a cinch. No more wasting time sliding back and forth between letters - just go ahead and copy and paste or do what you need to. And if you're particular about how names are displayed on your device, don't worry: you can customize this setting under Settings > Mail Contacts and Calendars.

Taking Pictures While Recording Videos Is a Game-Changer

I love taking videos on my iPhone, and sometimes I just happen to see the perfect photo while recording. But instead of stopping recording, I've learned a handy trick that allows me to snap pics all while still recording. To do this, simply hit the white button above the record button. This will give you the ability to take photos while still capturing video, making it a lifesaver when you never know when a candid opportunity is going to hop right in front of you.

Finishing Calls Without Disturbances Is a Must

Finally, if you're face-to-face finishing up a conversation with a buddy and your phone is buzzing from an incoming call, there's a simple way to finish the conversation without any annoying vibrations. Simply hit the power button once, which will silence the ringer. This way, you can go back to your call like normal, without any distractions or interruptions.
